hey....c'mon i'm a Yankees fan! i've been reading what you & xmas think of us but not said nothing yet. are we still friends?

As a lifelong Red Sox fan, I am required to hate the Yankees. cheesy I have nothing against the fans of them. I have 2004 to look at when the Sox were down 3-0 in the ALCS and I worked in Connecticut the Yankees fans were harsh to me. The Sox came back and won, I was quiet and humble about it, seeing their misery was enough for me.

I am pulling for the Washington Nationals to win the World Series this year though.

Good morning,

Getting ready for the day out and dropping the boys off.

I was going through the Music Choice channels this morning and I came across a Xmas song on the Solid Gold Oldies channel:

What a great way to start the day.

Have a great one!!!!

Is the heat on?!?! Do you have your sweaters ready? Ooh man, chilly weather, I'm ready for ya! (almost! Gotta get Paul to put weatherstripping on the back door!!)

It is chilly here, too. The electric heater is on and the polar fleece blankets are out. I'm glad you are ready for the chill ~ I still have a lot to do to prep the house. Have a nice day, judesmama!

Home and relaxing. Going to Detroit to pick up mom tomorrow . LittleCS and I are making a day of it, will see what interesting stores we can find along I94. Now I am going to sleep as we want to get an early start!

Have fun! Let us know what interesting stores you find!!

Oh Meceka, I know how you feel. xo How old is Bo now ?? My Wish seems to be declining a little too. I hate that he is aging faster than I am but then again, I wouldnt want to leave him here without me. I will say extra prayers for your baby xoxo

We don't know how old he is. He was full grown when he showed up here and I don't remember when that was. It seems like he has always been here ~ he fit in almost from the start. He was very cheerful this morning ~ wanted his peanut butter flavored dog bone :D

Morning, gang! Hope everyone is doing ok! Home from a trip last night and fell asleep by 9:45 or so (somewhere around there....couldn't really tell you), so when my eyes popped open at 7:15, I actually felt rested.

Saw some news about some Christmas shows coming on...I can't begin to tell you how much that excites me! I'm so excited, I'm about to go surf to see if I can find some more. That's one of my favorite things to do this time of year...

Alright, have a good, chilly Saturday (last night when I landed it was 84, when I got home an hour later it was 52...high today 50)! I'm going to make some soup, cookies, and some other items that I can freeze for Christmas!

Have a blessed day!

You have a blessed day, too, Coach!

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. :]

I decided to drop my university reading for a while (I was doing it all day yesterday so I deserved some rest ^^) and went to the town centre earlier today. I spent four hours there and I'm so tired right now.

I entered ''Cardfactory'' at the shopping centre by accident and OMG, the store made me smile. There was A HUGE variety of Christmas cards and other lovely Christmas-related stuff! And it was so great to see people talking about Christmas and buying some lovely cards. I also bought some stuff. Not cards, unfortunately. ^^

It is good to take a break from your university work every now and then so you don't get burned out. I hope the rest of your weekend is MERRY!

Just popped in to say WAY TO GO ORIOLES!!!!!!

I know nobody (including myself) thought this was going to happen when the season started back in April.

Now they just gotta beat them dang Yankees!

With the Red Sox out of the running (we won't go there ...), I'd really like to see the Orioles win. (I'm originally from Maryland.) Do they still call 'em The Birds sometimes, or is that old? I used to have a bobblehead figure of the old Oriole mascot.

Shhhhh!!!!!

Binger might hear! Then there'll be trouble! :o

Maybe Binger is the CAUSE of the shortage!

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh, dear me....

BINGER.....I'VE ONLY HAD 6 SO FAR THIS YEAR.....FOR CRYING OUT LOUD....SHARE!!!!!!!

So much for that theory!

Just poppin in to say HI! and to post a picture of the tree across the street! Note our tree in the foreground thats all green lol

I LOVE it when you get a bright blue sky as a background for the vivid leaves! I read in the news yesterday where the colors are supposed to be more vibrant here in New England than they were last year. We're not at peak yet where we are, but the trees are starting to blush from green to red, yellow, and orange.

A big thank-you again to everyone who checked out Gloria's videos and said such kind things about her. Mr. and I have always wished more people could discover her, and it's nice to hear when they do! We always let her know when she gets compliments. We want to find out if her family has Wi-Fi ... if they do, maybe she could get a tablet computer so she could receive and send e-mails (and visit MMC? Hm!). She's not comfortable with a regular computer, but maybe she could learn to use a touch-screen. Mr.'s mom could never get the hang of a PC, but she's in LOVE with the iPad she bought this summer.

Good morning, Christmas friends. Hubby and I drove to Redding yesterday for doctors' appointments. On the way, I suggested our having a Thanksgiving dinner on Monday. He agreed!!! (Later last evening, I heard him telling a friend of ours that we were celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving.) At one of the doctor's offices, there was an OLD issue of Sunset magazine (November 2011). We decided to try the recipes from it for Monday because we have a set menu for the US Thanksgiving. Anyway, here's our menu (most recipes from the mag!): Brined Turkey (not from the mag, but we know this is good and can't stray from our regular recipe; we bought an eight pounder); Sage Gravy (our regular recipe); Wild Mushroom and Butternut Squash Bread Pudding; Fingerling Potatoes with Bacon Cream; Roasted Cauliflower and Shallots; Cranberry Sauce (store-bought); Homemade Rolls; Chocolate Chunk Pumpkin Cupcakes; and Pouilly-Fuisse White Burgundy (thanks to the recommendation by LaurieBear).

Oh ... heavenly ...

We may grab a turkey dinner this weekend at a local chain restaurant.

Sweet! That was a beautiful time. Even though I'm not a native New Englander, I got swept away by the drama of that season.

Good morning, MMC!

It is a chilly fall day here. As I type this there are leaf showers going on all around outside ~ so pretty! I would be out enjoying the day, but I seem to have caught a cold. Since I am staying home this weekend, I am catching up on housework and trying to make a dent in the amount of work I have for the store ~ it is the busy time of the year there and I have to have a lot of merchandise ready to put in should a lot go out. I can't really get too far ahead as prices fluctuate and demand changes ~ it is really hard to tell what will be popular and what won't. You also don't want to put a lot of the same item in because then frequent customers will think there isn't a big turnover in your stuff and will walk right by. It gets very frustrating at times, but all in all, it is enjoyable work.

I hope everyone has a nice fally (thank you for that word, Undrtkr!) and MERRY day!!!

:cold:

Saturday hello, BTW. :-) Just working on stuff around the house today. May go out to get the yarn I need to complete the Christmas afghan I'm working on. It's going slower than I thought it would. I've got so many little to-do's that are taking time away from it. Our chilly weather is supposed to start after some clouds and rain tonight and tomorrow.

So I had to type that entire countdown message from Kim's HTC android phone. It was nearly impossible! Again, I apologize for being a little tardy. There is usually an open connection at Kim's mom's, but that seems to be no more. Tomorrow should be a little different as we'll be at Kim's sister's house, where there is a connection (we're here right now).

Hard to believe the Homestretch starts tomorrow. Wow!

Yummo!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm here at Bernie's all day. I've already cooked & sold breakfast. Now I'm knee-deep in lunch, with cheesburgers, pepperoni pizza & rotisserie chicken. Mmmm, mmmm!

Of course, it's grilled skinless chicken breast for me, but that's pretty good, too.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
