Good morning, MMC!

I am praying for all of you!

It is a crisp, fall day out today ~ I am hoping to make my grapevine tree later this afternoon. This morning will be spent doing housework and there are some things I need to do for the store, too. I have to fit all of that in while playing with Palmer ~ we are batting Wilson around. :grin:

Have a MERRY day!!!

cheesy

@jennifer......I hope Your grandpa is recovering soon...praying for him

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

We're going with Elizabeth to her Nutcracker Ballet practice, then we're going to just mess around at the mall, Hobby Lobby and WalMart until the "Scare on the Square" halloween festival this afternoon.

Sandy has it overcast & windy here, but not enough to ruin the day.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

First, let me say that since my post Wednesday night that several people have had family incidents....know that you are in my thoughts and prayers....

To my friends in the path of this storm, please take care of yourself. Go get some supplies and hunker down....

Tuesday night we had a ballgame, Wednesday night I got to read, Thursday I went to eat with the Wifey and Mom, and last night was another ballgame. My plans are to enjoy this weekend, prepare for Christmas (LIGHTS LIGHTS LIGHTS), do some cooking, and just enjoy the weekend. I haven't listened to any Christmas music yet, but I am sure getting that itch....I may watch a Christmas movie this morning...

That sounds like a good idea....

~~~ Positive Vibe Wave !!! ~~~ & ~~~ Boo Hiss to Sandy !!! ~~~
OMG!!!! If they all were and everyone posted just once a day here could you just image what our total would be!!!!!
I just noticed that we broke 10,000 members last night. Wow. Can you imagine if all of them where active in the countdown thread. Talk about blowing away records.
...MMC is likely to see ten thousand members by year's end as well (not that most recent signups, many for nefarious notions, will stick around and be positive contributors to our Merry Community).
Ten Thousand members plus was realized much earlier than anticipated! Sadly, the vast majority are looking to serve spam instead of more traditional Christmas fare.
For more statistics than you can shake a yule log at, click here and here.
Off to the local Renaissance Faire today and then hopefully back in time for the Halloween edition of 'Greasy Skillet' tonight. (Playlist is in the Halloween forum here.)
**Sandy, go away!**
Saturday hello ... :-) Sending prayers to those in need of them. Will be keeping track of Sandy this weekend. It's looking less like we will get a direct hit, but it's too far out to really know for sure. And the storm will be so big that we will definitely get some extreme wind and rain.
Better safe than sorry, Merry! Have you made any extra preparations should Cat appear on your porch ~ I am worried about your wandering friend. I am keeping all of you in my prayers!
Cat belongs to a family down the street, so s/he will be fine. S/he seems to have enough sense not to go strolling around in the storm. But we'll keep an eye out.
what up homies....just had a cup of coffee and a small piece of cake....before that Kandice and I just arrived from Disneyland Paris.......lol.....we were playing....we packed her little suitcase and boarded the bus (our sofa/couch).....slept for 10 seconds and woke up in Paris...there we met Minnie Mouse (who was actually a Donald Duck toy), rode the ole fashioned carussel...the dumbo ride, a small world, the twilight tower of terror and saw the parade already....lol....Kandice enjoyed this very much....then we sat in front of the notebook to watch youtube videos of the park...which made us homesick for it....:D....now she will watch her beloved dvd of Jack and the Neverland Pirates
Good afternoon, everyone! So glad to be able to get caught up on the other posts and to be able to finally post on the countdown.
How is everyone? I am doing pretty well. I have had another nagging cold for the last week and half. It seems to not be going away. It's the cough that's the worse. I think I am going to go out purchase Delsym today. I've seen other people suggest that I on the forum. Hopefully it works. If not, I am stuck. I've tried everything else, except an antibiotic, which I was on two weeks or so ago for the cold I had then - I don't really want to go that route again, already.
What's everyones plans for tonight? We were originally going to a Halloween parade that is pretty local to us here and it's a huge parade. I am pretty disappointed, especially for the kids, but I don't think we will be going. It's supposed to start showering here later on. Tonight, after midnight, it is supposed to start raining, pretty much non-stop. Anyway, we're going to carve/paint pumpkins, order pizza, and watch the Penn State vs. Ohio State game.
Well, I am off to read some of the posts. I will talk to you guys later on. God Bless. Anyone who is the path of "Frakenstorm", stay safe and please keep checking in!
Please pray for my mom I am at hospital with her, she may have had a mini stroke. She collapsed at home just over an hour ago. Had a bunch of tests done just waiting for doctor to come.
Praying everything is okay with her.
Hola everyone! It's Saturday and it's windy outside and we're expected lows in the low 40s/upper 30s in a few days. YAY!!! It FINALLY feels like Fall here!! cheesy
I feel a bit icky so I'm in my pajamas watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on DVD and just relaxing.
I've bought a lot of Christmas cards for this year's mail out. I just need to get labels for the addressees and more return addresses for the envelopes. And a few more cards hehe.
I am sooo glad it's the weekend and for those of you in Hurricane Sandy's path, stay safe!!! :-D
Good morning, Christmas friends. It is breezy and chilly here in northern California. Plans for today include doing laundry, checking some papers, and getting ready for dinner with friends at Red Lobster for the all-you-can-eat Shrimp Fest. We had a steak dinner at the Elks Lodge last night at an ENF benefit for all Elks programs. I bid on two homemade pies: peach and lemon meringue and won them both. I also bid on a gorgeous table that looks like a dainty dresser. The back looks like an Adirondack chair and the drawers are birdhouses! The drawer pulls are leaves. It is so cute. I will try to get Hubby to take pictures and get them on here. One of our Elks members made two of them.
I am thinking of all of our members who have suffered illnesses or whose family members are suffereing illnesses. You are definitely in my prayers. Included in my prayers are those in the path of Frankenstorm. Take care, all of you.
Did anyone see the injury to the football player from South Carolina? Oh my...
Heya everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. :] I spent my day in different shopping centres with another student from Azerbaijan. She purchased a lot of stuff while I bought a pj set for my mum. I also came across a very nice jumper but its price is just mental... £35! Also, I must admit 'Tk Maxx' and 'Matalan' are on their way to Christmas preparation! There were so many nice Christmas stuff displayed! I came across some Christmas candles which smelled wonderful in ginger and cinemmon. It costed £3 each. Still pretty expensive but I hope to get them for less a week before Christmas and may way home. :] It's terribly cold in my room because my heater isn't working properly. :/ I'm off to make a cup of hot cacao. Enjoy your Saturday guys! xx
