It is chilly here! Just noticed we have a warning for a "mamoth storm" to hit southern Ontario., "Winds will begin to strengthen across southern Ontario Monday evening, peaking through Tuesday morning,"
Maybe I should go and pick up some chocolate.

Ha ha ha...that is definately what I would go for if facing a storm. Chocolate & wine! Tee Hee!! Stay safe!!!!

Yes! Dead men walking won! They did an amazing job on their pumpkin carvings. The other team was amazing to and lost by such small margin .

Their piece was crazy good and I'm glad they won. The other guy did a fanatastic job of carving the figures out of pumpkin though. Those faces were amazing.

Looking like Philadelphia is going to be the area of landfall according to my local news. Take care Judesmama, and anyone else in Eastern PA, I have family in that area, hopefully we will hear from them quickly.

Hey everyone. Coming home from FL tomorrow afternoon. Flying into PA (not eastern). Please pray that I am able to get home - otherwise I am stuck here and it will be a huge mess. We are supposed to get high winds and tons of rain starting tomorrow at some point. I do not know where my plane is coming from to FL so I don't know if we will make it. Now as for All hallows eve, I went to out last night (my mom holds fundraising events for local families).. and it was a hoot! I went as a Police woman, and my lovely DB went as Lt Dangle from Reno 911. I LOVED his costume!! It was hilarious, the short shorts.. were.... beautiful hahahahah On Halloween, I will be dressing up as a vampire to greet the kidlets that knock on our door!! I am so excited

I also bought london a pumpkin costume... so cute!

My girls are on half term break from school this week so im trying loads of halloween/autumn/winter fun activities for us to do, Ive got weds, thurs and friday off work aswell so makes for even more fun hehe!!!

Good afternoon,

VERY busy day today, everyone seems to be taking heed and prepping for Sandy. I have butterflies in my stomach over this thing, especially with the possibility of losing power for days. We just went through that last year at this same time of year, where the power went out on a Saturday night and didn't come back until Thursday evening. I really don't want to miss the beginning of Christmas music on Music Choice for the second year in a row. I hope all of our friends in the path of Sandy stay safe over the next few days.

My 87 year old grandpa was in a car accident tonight. Someone ran a stop sign and plowed right into him. His whole car is totaled and all of the airbags deployed. I still cannot get over this happening. I am relieved to say that he walked away with no injuries aside from soreness from wearing his seat belt and the airbags.

Oh my god! Your grandpa was so lucky. I hope he doesn't have side effects from the crash.

I am totally getting a BAD case of CHRISTMAS BRAIN as our dear friend Merry Noel says !! I am watching the Hallmark channel right now and there is a preview of the upcoming Christmas movies on NEXT FRIDAY !!! Yay !!!!!

I am also really excited because I have followed all the "Good Witch" movies on Hallmark and now there is a new one tomorrow night !!

It is really cold here. I have a fire going and I am watching the original "The Good Witch's Garden.

I got an e-mail from my company today as apparently their headquarters is right in the path of the storm as they are in Rockville, Maryland. They are keeping their fingers crossed just like everyone else.

Mom did have a mini stroke. She has very high blood pressure for which she is now on medication for. She is home now and feeling better. Arrangements are being made for her to go to the stroke clinic for a treatment plan.
I am tired, thinking of having a nap, but most likely will just wait or I will not be able to sleep later.

Your mother is in my prayers! Hope she is going to be well very soon and doesn't have any problems due to the stroke.

As you probably all know, the storm has NOT weakened in the least so far. I was and am still hoping it will. Though we are not in direct line with the storm, we are supposed to get high winds and that scares me more than anything. Our house is SURROUNDED by trees. I think for quite a few of us the next 3 days or so is going to be quite tiring.

Praying for all who ARE in direct line of this horrible storm.

been watching Tarzan with kandice and jones...now getting ready to leave the house in the wintery cold weather...to go shopping...today is Verkaufsoffener Sonntag...which means that the stores will be open on this Sunday...so we will go and check out for bargains...going to drink a big glass of water now and then get dressed and head out into the beayutiful weather.......happy sunday!!!!!

You already got a Verkaufsoffener Sonntag? We only have them during advent.

We both got word from our offices to use our own discretion as to whether we feel safe going in tomorrow. We'll see what it looks like in the morning. I wouldn't want to go in and get stranded by downed trees or something ... And I wouldn't want Mr. to go in and be stranded if the trains stop running ...

I think you better stay at home. If the storm isn't as bad as it looks like now, you still can go into the office during the day. But if it is as it looks like or even worse, than you are safer at home.
