Just checking in ... thinking of you all every day, even though I ducked out for a few days. I've been in a blue mood, and don't want to muddy up the cheerful holiday spirit here.

Thank you everyone for the prayers, my BIL is out of surgery and all went well. He will be in intensive care for a couple of days and sounds like he will be fine.

I'll continue to keep him in my prayers.

She seemed to be doing okay. She was eating the popsicles and pudding just fine. Her doctor usually keeps the younger kids overnight but they were talking about letting her come home when I left.

Well, we did it. We took the plunge back into debt and we bought the truck. Happy and sad at the same time. I like the truck, but the financial freedom that comes from not having a car payment was nice. Oh well....

As we approach the season, it brings me joy to see those who have been gone "coming back home". Can't wait to see who else comes back!

I'm off...going to watch Dancing with the Stars....rest assured, I will be back tomorrow evening and hope some of you will be here during election coverage!

Congratulations Ballcoach, do you mind share what one you purchased? We have an F150, and I love it a lot, we go on the beach with it, camping it is a wonderful truck. I love it, hope you and the family enjoy yours for many years!!!

hubby came home from work last night w/ more lights for outside to finish the 1 front side of the house. he needed a few more icicles & 1 more net of lights. i think he's as excited as i am this year. it's nice not being the only 1!

ya' know guys...y'all really do feel like family to me. as i was reading the posts this morning & read some of the difficulties some are having, i got an ache in the pit of my stomach. it's a feeling i can only describe as the same i have if something goes wrong here @ home. I know some faces, others i have no idea, but it doesn't matter, you are still family. i find myself referring to this site & y'all numerous times throughout the day to everyone i am around. thanks for that guys!

Hello everyone. I noticed this morning that some folks are having some medical issues so I'll be praying for you all! Seems like too much of that going around recently. I was called up to the hospital over the weekend by a lady in my congregation. Her best friend's son was in a horrible auto accident and they were about to remove the life support. They don't have a church, so they asked if someone would just be willing to pray with them. Seeing a situation like that makes me thank God for everything I have and realize just how fragile life can be.
Okay...didn't mean to be depressing...but know I'm praying for all of you who might be struggling with things right now.

What a day !!! I am glad to report that my Hermione had a bad tooth and that the doctor found it and got it out. It was actually behind another tooth sort of hiding. It was loose, the doctor said and there was just a little infection but it is out now.

I am so tired just from the stress. But better days ahead....

it was bonfire night in the UK last night, i really love it. we always have such a great night. once we get halloween and bonfire night out the way, it becomes "acceptable" to talk about christmas, so as you can imagine, i haven't shut up all day!!!

Been busy today trying to sort out some of the girls toys, I need to do a big clean out before chrstmas, ive decided that anything that still works and can be easily cleaned Im going to take into the hospital where I work for the childrens dept. I spoke to them today and they said they will accept toys which are made of hard plastic which can be sanitized.

Anyone heard from Snowflake lately? Havent seen her post in last few days??

snowflake has been super busy preparing for their move: finding a house, studying for her real estate class, packing up their home. that's a great idea to give the toys to the hospital.

good afternoon y'all! my daughter reminded me this morning that she is going on a field trip w/ her school tomorrow. she has to be @ the school @ 4 a.m.!!!!!!! oh my goodness i'm not looking forward to that! the class is heading down to Charleston, S.C. about 3 hours away. going to an aquarium & turtle school (whatever that is). she said it will be late tomorrow night when they get back so i guess i'll have to pick her up too. oh well, so is the life of a mom, huh?

First Christmas Lights

Hello everyone. I admit I have not been showing a "merry disposition" today, so this is my first time on the forums for today. :sad:I almost forgot...last night I saw two homes (right across from each other) with Christmas lights already on! One even had some inflatables in the yard. Will try to get a picture tonight. Does anyone know how to insert a picture into a post? When I try, I end up just having the picture as an attachment, but not in the post itself. Thanks so much and I hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a chilly day here with a high of 48. My oldest niece had her tonsils out this morning so I think I'm going to run up to the hospital and see her. Then I might do some shopping on the way home. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

You know a few people here do it though photobucket; you upload the picture and then paste the IMG code, I know Made has always helped me with this part.

You know a few people here do it though photobucket; you upload the picture and then paste the IMG code, I know Made has always helped me with this part.

Lauriebear is right. Photobucket is by far the easiest way to do it. All you have to do is create an account on their website and then upload the photo. Then you can click on the photo and over on the right hand side you will see an IMG code. Just copy that code and then paste it here in your post.
