Show Jacob a new trick on his guitar and accidentally break his string, too! That will show him! ....Although I'm sure you'll be the one paying for both strings. Hmm. Maybe that won't work?!
I tried that this morning when I was getting him out of bed for school. Of course, I just pretended to break it, but I still didn't fool him. LOL

Good Christmas Season Day #2, everyone! It is chilly this morning, and I will soon be off to radiation. I have been having a lot of nausea, so I will also go back to the doctor to change meds. If not, then I need to wean myself from these! UGH! TTYL
Praying you get some relief, Cherylle. :-(

Hello ... :-) I ordered a new artificial tree Saturday, and it's supposed to be delivered today! Don't know if I'll get a good look at it before the weekend, but it's exciting to have it. I haven't had a new tree for a long time, and I haven't had an unlit one for *ahem* a couple of decades, so it'll be a challenge to string the lights.

Not many lights and decorations in the neighborhoods around here, but I smile whenever I see some new ones on the drive home. A lot of people around here are waiting for Thanksgiving before decorating, I guess.

A new tree? That's exciting! I hope it arrives today!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone. The temp was a chilly 23 when I left for work this morning. We are looking for a high in the lower 50s. All the snakes and bugs should be gone until spring.

We had a great birthday weekend in Pigeon Forge, Tn. Hard to believe our son is 17.

We put up our tree on Monday. My wife is still doing some additional decorating. Now it is time to enjoy the season while listening to Bing Crosby & Nat King Cole.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Good morning, MMC! Hope you're all doing well on this Pines Day, the first one of the season! Sorry I never checked back in last evening, but after I spent time with the kids, I passed out on the couch - boy was I tired.

The kids loved the "Elf on the Shelf". I don't think DS understood it too much, but he loved the whole opening of the gift and looking at it all - he was too tired to watch the DVD when we did. I will probably stick it in again tonight. It's not very long. I have so many great ideas for the elf and the kids for the season! I think I am excited then them.

What is everyone up to today? DH is working all day, then he is working night shift overtime. I work tonight as well, so my sister will be coming to watch the kids. I will have to decide what to do for dinner. I will probably just hang around on here, read a book, and just relax!

Well, I am going to read some more of the boards. Hope you're all enjoying your day. God Bless and keep smiling! Thinking about all of you, your families, and furbabies!

Good morning,

It's Wednesday, I leave to go fight the turkeys in about 45 minutes, I don't want to go. I guess back to reality after being immersed in Christmas projects all day yesterday. Not much more going on here.

Have a great Wednesday!!!

~~~ Positive Vibe Wave !!! ~~~
Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!
I walked outside a daylight to start my morning walk, and it was cold and drizzling rain. Brrr! I'll have to put off the walking until this afternoon.
Jacob came home from guitar lessons yesterday playing "What Child is This", and playing it well! I can't believe how quickly he's taken to the guitar. He was showing me what he learned while playing my acoustic (I keep it in the living room on a stand), and he broke a string. Grrrr. He has three electric guitars and an acoustic in his room, but he breaks my strings! Well, it was time to change the strings, anyway.
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
Just remember the famous line, Brad; Every time a bell rings, an angel changes the strings on their telecaster.
I haven't even complained about him damaging my Stratocaster yet! And she's my baby! Now I gotta put her in the shop. :x
A new tree? That's exciting! I hope it arrives today!!!
Just checked the tracking. Now the estimated delivery date is TOMORROW. Rats. It got as far as New Jersey overnight.
Well, it just extends the anticipation another day!
Good morning everyone,
Quiet morning in here, isn't it? I will assume that everyone is still a little exhausted from celebrating the first official day/night of the Christmas Season. I know I'm a little tired. A day full of Christmas music at work, a visit to the gym and then a Christmas movie before bed. A perfect day. I allowed Kim to pick the movie, and she chose Home Alone. No arguments there. Although she wanted to watch #2, I said we had to do them in order this year. She agreed. We were very happy to watch our recently purchased Blu-Ray version. It looks great!
Today was a chilly walk to the bus. I think it might only be getting colder from here on out... It was a cold -5c (18f) this morning on my walk to the bus. Brr. Still no signs of snow, however. I think I will hold off on my winter coat until it gets a little colder. My sweater is quite warm for now and there isn't any snow in our forecast just yet.
My dad phoned last night and he is apparently coming to visit for the weekend. I'm excited. He had initially planned to come last weekend, but he traveled a lot the previous weekend and wanted to unwind. I don't blame him. I think he drove about 30 hours! Our plans are a little suspect right now considering there is no hockey on TV. We usually watch a game a night when he's here. At least there is football. Maybe we'll go to a movie, too? We'll see...
Well, it's time to go to the 'Pines for the first time this Christmas Season. I'm excited to see Carl's decor. Despite having already celebrated Thanksgiving, I think I can enjoy counting down to a second one for everyone else. It is that delicious, anyway! Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone. But, most of all, Merry Christmas.
it is getting chilly here too, only 0c so far and a tiny skiff of snow.
I am going to the pines tonight too, first time is a long time. I have heard the decoration is over the top this year! Over the top of what is yet to be seen LOL
Hello all! I have missed way too many days on here! Last week my dog was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and I have been up and down with emotions. I would be so happy one minute because he seemed so well then the next would be down thinking of his diagnosis. Good news is that yesterday he went in for a check up and the vet said his heart and lungs were responding well to the medication and he is doing very good! He never seemed ill except for a cough, he is alert, happy, active and eats well. The cough is gone since taking the medication.
In other news, two of my neighbors have their outdoor Christmas lights up and tree in the window! :D
I will be busy within the next 2 weeks so will try to get on here when I can. I hope I can find all the special post on here to catch up on those at least.
I hope you all have a Merry Day! cheesy
CAH, praying for you, SIT, and your dog. I'm so glad to hear that he is responding well to the meds. Know that your family comes first, so just check in when you can. God Bless - I'll be thinking of you!
We did that last year, the boys love Elf On The Shelf, they named their elf Holiday. They are already wondering when he will be coming back for this year.
EA named their's Elfie - haha :)
so glad to hear your dog is feeling better.
I am starting to see more lights and decorations up here around town too. They still do not have them up on city hall, but that should happen soon.
The Toronto Santa parade is this Sunday!!!
Our Christmas parade is this Sunday as well. This parade will be the first for my daughter, will she will be performing with her baton. I'm excited!
Happy 100th anniversary to the Spugs!
(this is for you MC) :dance:
Good Tuesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!
We finally got some good news on all of my medical bills. The last two bills that we've been waiting on finally arrived...and they're not too bad at all! Yippee! More Christmas $$$!
:???:
I still can't figure out why I have to pay for two ambulance rides. The first ambulance broke down mid-trip, and I had to be transferred to another one halfway to Savannah. LOL! I will say that the first one didn't charge nearly as much as the second one. Ah well. I'm through with ambulances, anyway!
Elizabeth's stage debut in the Nutcracker ballet starts this Friday! I'm so proud of her!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
Glad to hear for you that you're bills are less than you thought!
Congrats to Elizabeth! That's great!
That was the first Christmas movie I selected to watch for this Season, too!
