hey y'all! thanks so much for thinking of my daughter & the well wishes for her. she is feeling a little better. i guess w/ a virus it takes a little time to get over it.

i'm going to a couponing class tonight w/ my s-i-l. sure hope i learn something about this that i didn't know. the lady hosting it is finding killer deals all the time & has a stock pile of stuff.

hubby will be home w/ daughter tonight. he's already told us he is going hunting in the morning.

gotta go now, wish me luck. maybe i'll come back & have some secrets to coupon saving!!:merry:

Thank you so much ... some of the folks here created a little website (with photos and a bio! he was rescued from hard work and abuse when he was young) to collect donations from the employees here for Guinn's surgery. It's scheduled for the 28th, unless there's a crisis before then.

Me and Isak was on our way out to the car
when he suddenly was throwing up!
So we are spending the day home... :grin: he with a bucket infront of him!

So it's Friday!
We are going to my niece's Birthday this weekend,
and I have to drive my girl to a basketball game Sunday morning.
Other than that, Im going to make plans for Thanksgiving and decorate more for Christmas

I think I'll have to bake some Christmas cookies todaylaying:

Found out db has been cheating on me for quite a while... When things look up, something comes crashing down. I have never been so hurt in my entire life. Not to mention myself and his other lady friend used to be quite close...

Now that there are a lot of Christmas movies on tv, TMC is showing a somewhat Christmas movie tomorrow at 3:45PM EST called A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. This is an oldy but goody family movie starring Dorothy McGuire.

Btw, hello Christmas community! I'm going to be a very rare visitor here soon. Crazy essays! They make me stay at the library until evening and they make my eyes hurt because of using a computer most of the time while writing them. :/ Anyway, hope everyone had a good and successful week and already planned their adventorous weekend. :] I wonder if anyone else is obssesed about eating something non-stop? I'm so into eating chestnuts lately. ^^ I got a whole package of fresh nuts brought straight from one of the Black sea's resorts which means no chemicals, no pesticides and other stuff. Heh. xx

I know what you are going through. The pain will go away. Try to not let it ruin your holidays though. Get out there with your other friends and have fun. You never know, you may find someone even better while your out there.


In the mean time though, if you want to share his address, maybe we can get Christmasstar to send him an exploding cake.

I just got an urgent call from Carl, He can't believe that hostess is closing. He's going to try to buy the Twinkie formula from them but to hold the Pines over, he's asking for everyone to run to their grocery stores and buy as many twinkies as you can!!!! He will gladly reimburse you.

r have him buy all the remaining crates, they will last for a million years without ever going stale!

That fire I had mentioned on here yesterday, they found out was arson. A man set fire to the house thinking his girlfriend was living there. It took the life of a 3 yo and his mom is still in critical condition. So sad. Prayers, prayers, prayers!

We will soon be leaving for the Elks Lodge for a pit-cooked turkey dinner. It is one of my favorite meals that we serve. It used to be a yearly tradition, then the gentleman who did the pit -ooking moved away. He is back now and so returns our tradition. I cannot describe how delicious it is. Come on out and join us!!! We are just a quick flight away!

The Baptist Cowboy
A cowboy, who just moved to Wyoming from Texas, walks into a bar and orders three mugs of Bud. He sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When he finishes them, he comes back to the bar and orders three more.
The bartender approaches and tells the cowboy, "You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it. It would taste better if you bought one at a time."
The cowboy replies, "Well, you see, I have two brothers. One is in Arizona, the other is in Colorado . When we all left our home in Texas, we promised that we'd drink this way to remember the days when we drank together. So I'm drinking one beer for each of my brothers and one for myself."
The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there..
The cowboy becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way. He orders three mugs and drinks them in turn.
One day, he comes in and only orders two mugs. All the regulars take notice and fall silent. When he comes back to the bar for the second round, the bartender says, "I don't want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my condolences on your loss."
The cowboy looks quite puzzled for a moment, then a light dawns in his eyes and he laughs.
"Oh, no, everybody's just fine," he explains, "It's just that my wife and I joined the Baptist Church and I had to quit drinking."
"Hasn't affected my brothers though."

Hi everyone just sitting here watching an old movie Smokey Mountain Christmas with Dolly Parton. I love, these older movies from the 80's. There is another one I like with John Denver, he takes his little girl from NYC to Denver and the town is all decked out for Christmas. I forget the name of that one but I haven't seen it on yet. I also watched the movie National Tree, I like that one too.
