I had to take a nap today, so I haven't been on like I would like. I am all comfy in my jammies and ready to rest, again! LOL! Have a great rest-of-the-evening!

I actually had to stop working and lay down in my bed for 20 minutes today before I could finish my shift.....!!! So tired lately...........xo I want to wear my polar bear "jammies" again and it wont be long I hope !! xo

Good evening, Christmas family

I am watching a movie on Hallmark right now called "Eve's Christmas" It is kinda good. It is all about a woman who gets a second chance to make different decisions about her life......It is humorous too !

I have just been so tired lately. I must be getting ancient......either that or maybe I just need a shot of Lucy's Vitametavegimen !!!!


Jennifer - I am really starting to get worried about you. Praying that you feel better.

Don't get me wrong here, I do like alot of the new movies, But, I just love the old B&W movies. For me, I'm even talking about going all the way back deep into the 30's and some 20's. There was alot of classic movies that was made during that timeframe, real treasures... They take you back!

The shame of it all, is that there has been soooo many movies, films that have been lost over the years due to age, neglect and mishaps, that hopefully, these old films can be saved and protected so that they can last and be enjoyed by future generations yet to come...

I recently watched a TV program about how the national archives is trying really hard to preserve, cleanup and restore as many as the old films as possible and then copy them. I think that's great....

If you ever come to Massachusetts, we'd have a lot to talk about, and we could give you a heck of a film show!


Estimates are that 80 percent or more of films from the silent era have been lost to decomposition, and many others have deteriorated while waiting for funding to be saved ... And it's not cheap. Seeing some that have been saved is a thrill.


Gotta run, we just got some new Fibber McGee and Molly episodes!

TLC has a Christmas show on I think Saturday called "My Crazy Obsession: Christmas" I am looking forward to that to see where I rank on the Christmas Nut scale.

good morning y'all! how's it?

i've been trying to do some online shopping here & there. been super busy @ work. working on a couple of projects for our open house Saturday.

i have 4 new Christmas puzzles & i'm still on the 1st 1. i'm embarrassed to say it but it's only 500 pcs. & i can't get it! let's just say my eyes aren't what they used to be & blame it on the lighting, yeah that's it...the lighting. lol

i still can't believe I sat around all weekend watching Christmas movies & doing nothing. my family had done so much prep for Thanksgiving it was like we were just give out & needed a break. we definitely got it!

taking things slow this season. planning things to do & not rushing through it all. i want to enjoy every minute of this wonderful time of the year.

made my baking list & what i need for it & buying a little along.
my b-i-l has to work Christmas day so we are changing things up a bit & having Christmas Eve w/ him & my folks. my rents will head to the beach on Christmas morning to be w/ my sister & the family there. we are going down the weekend before to spend w/ them. they can't handle us all @ the same time & my Mama & Daddy like to be w/ my great nephews Christmas day. it will just be me, hubby, & the kids Christmas Day. we have never done that so I think it might be nice for us.

Good Morning, My Many Mad Mid-Weekers!

But, what's really mad is this:
Days to Christmas Day: 27 (Under FOUR WEEKS, now!)
(Getting mighty close. Better rush those plans toward completion!)

A colder turn yesterday with some light rain.
Should be clear today, though, and slightly warmer.
We are at 35 degrees here, currently.

Will we have a Wonderful Wednesday at the Shispering Pines?
You must go to know.

But seeing as how we are now in the heart of the Season,
.....and knowing how much Carl loves Christmas,
.....and also seeing as how the 'Pines is fully decorated to the hilt in all of its Christmas splendor,
.....and that Christmas movies are airing 24/7 in the Inn's theater,
.....and seeing as how all the fired twinkies from now until New Years will be red and green frosted.......

Well, you get the idea -- that you don't want to miss the remaining open houses between now an the end of the year!

Good morning everyone.. we were lucky enough to get about 2.5 inches of snow yesterday. It was beautiful and the kids had a blast playing. Really put me in the spirit, big time!

Unfortunately, we lost our cat last night. We had to put him to sleep due to a urinary blockage leading to kidney failure. He's never been in great health but we tried to give him a good life. My poor husband was so close to him and is taking this hard. It's such a hard thing. It's very strange not to have a pet now. We've always had at least 1 pet since we have been together for the last 10 years but not anymore. I don't know if I can handle going through something like that again. I don't know that we will get another cat.

I don't know that we will get another cat.

That's a tough decision to make, but we have to make it sometimes, out of love for a family member who's struggling and in pain. You can be sure he knows you were acting out of love and compassion.

Dogs and cats are especially hard to lose, because they obviously love you so much, and they only live around 10 years. Why can't they live as long as, say, parrots that often have to be willed to the next owner.

Good morning! Not much going on here today! Looking forward to going home for lunch & putting up a few more Christmas decs! Hubby just called - he is not a happy UPS driver today! Thank you cyber sales!!! Ha ha! He says he will be out delivering until 9:30 tonight! That does not make a happy UPS man! Their building is down 2 drivers through this whole season - both having or had surgery. And there is only a replacement driver for 1 of them. So it could be a long season for my hubby & his co-workers!!

At 10:30 pm last night my sister-in-law still had not heard from my brother. He has drove for UPS for over 30 years. What a tough job! We all are enjoying the season but it sure is hard on those drivers and other workers who have to work extra hard during the Christmas season. My job is at its slowest this time of year, we get an Easter rush instead.

Hoping today is less busy than the last two, so I can catch my breath a bit. Business is very good at the office, but we're a smallish bunch, so we're all very busy. I'm the one and only proofreader, so it gets crazy sometimes.

Anyone buying tickets for the $500M Powerball drawing? Mr. is getting a few just to be in the running.

Morning, everyone!

I am just staying at home for the day. I am still really sick. I hope and pray each night that I will wake up in the morning feeling better, but that's just not happening! I need to lay off of the ibuprofen, it's starting to upset my stomach. I should be getting the lab results of the strep test today even though the rapid said negative.

Well, hope you are all better than I am! Don't work too hard today!
