Today is my dear sister's birthday and also the day we do her tree !! In just a couple of hours I will be on my way to her house and then hopefully we will be shopping and being the true Christmas sister nitwits we truly are !! When we get together for this outing every year it is usually pretty hilarious ....even though only my sister and I know what we are laughing about. We just turn into little kids and it is so fun.

Off to church in about 20 minutes, then dinner, then back home for some TV viewing. I have finished all the laundry, so tomorrow all I will do is assemble the ingredients for beef-barley soup in the crockpot. That is a no-fail recipe! Wayne seems to do well with all that, has read scripture and lead the church in prayer but it makes me nervous to read to everyone but I guess I will do it! Hello all, well December is finally here. I always have mixed emotions about the season arriving. Of course I am happy about it, but then think it will all be over way too soon. I will be off from the 19th-25th so we will have that time to enjoy doing all our Christmas stuff, I am looking forward to that.

As Sheila mentioned we are lighting the Advent candle tomorrow at church, she said that I do well with that kind of stuff, what people don't realize is that I am a bundle of nerves any time I read or pray in front of the congregation. I guess it doesn't show, because I always get compliments from people afterward.

I always love the Advent services. Tonight was the blessing of the Advent wreath and the lighting of the first candle. We had KFC for dinner and now it's time for TV! Goodnight, all!
