LOL! I am with you on that one, Brad. Hubby does all the TV programming. I could do it, but I would definitely have to read the directions.

What's a VCR?

Sorry, couldn't help it. My kids have never heard of an 8-track, and have only seen records and cassettes. We have a VCR, but haven't used it since they were little. Everything these days is blue-ray or streaming.

I miss the old days when you didn't need a computer degree to program the VCR like you do the DVR. :-?

CAH,
I have LOTS of VHS tapes from when my kids were younger, some of the tapes being over 20 years old! I got my first VCR in 1986 and recorded all the Christmas shows! Have you found your cookie cutters?

I still don't have a DVR! I do want to get one though!

I have DVD/VHS combo in my den and bedroom. I still have so many VHS Christmas shows and watch them often. Some of them cannot be replaced since a lot of them are not on DVD yet.

Spirit,
I am not sure how to share. I mean I know how to share, really, but not how to share your project. Help, please!

Morning MMC!

Its Cold, Clear, Calm and Christmasy here in Ireland today!

Feels like ages since i have been here as i have been devoting every waking hour to finishing my Christmas project, http://yuleplay.com but now its finished and i am free to enjoy the rest of the holiday season!

If you haven't seen it yet, i would really appreciate it if you could check it out and share it on facebook.

Many Thanks

Spirit.

I always loved the excitement of going home from college during the Christmas holidays. It was especially exciting for me since I lived in Christmas Town, USA. www.mcadenville-christmastown.com/

I expect to receive my final results of the semester at the very beginning of January but as I have already got majority of my other assignments marked, I don't expect my results to be very bad. Actually, they should be pretty good overall. ^^ Anyway, I have to finish stitching a Christmas present for my godparents in umpcoming few days, I still have to do a little Christmas shopping tomorrow and pack my suitcase on Saturday because I'm going home on Sunday!!! I wasn't that excited abou it a while ago but now, when there are only few days to go, I'm super excited!

I have been thinking about your mom a lot. I just saw your post right after I also shared the McAdenville link--great minds. Praying that your mom improves GREATLY!

Good morning everyone.

I have been gone for a while. Both of my parents have been in the hospital. Dad with pneumonia. Mom with complications from cancer including pneumonia and a UTI. Dad is doing better and may get out today. Mom is a little better but will be there a while longer. They are both in Gastonia, NC so I walked through Christmas town USA, (McAdenville) several nights after leaving the hospital. http://www.mcadenville-christmastown.com/ It was a needed break.

I will drop back in when I can. Hope everyone has a great Christmas season as we celebrate the day God became a man to model a perfect life for us, provide for us to be reconciled to God by dying for our sins, and then rising again. It is neat to celebrate his birth while anticipating his return.

Invite us all over and we can help you kick something at Mr.'s workplace!

You want to hear even crazier?? Mr. just e-mailed that they're having him stay to do ANOTHER late job tonight---no estimate yet on how late it's going to go---after he was at the office from 9 a.m. yesterday until 2:45 a.m. this morning! He got to bed about 4:30 a.m. and was up five hours later and on his way back to the office. I'm practically foaming at the mouth over it---I'm ready to kick a hole in the wall or punch out a window or something. It's OUTRAGEOUS. I'm so frustrated I don't know what to do.

Absolutely ecstatic for you!!!

Good evening, Christmas family

Just finishing up The Polar Express on ABC Family. I don't know if I will watch Christmas In Connecticut which I DVR'd today or something else. I am getting pretty sleepy. As usual, all my furkids except the two daredevil felines are already asleep and snoring.

Great news !!! I am beginning to have TOES again !!! The swelling and pain are going from my toes, not all the way gone yet but going and the swelling and pain in my right thumb is 99% gone. Now if I can just keep tolerating the medication as it builds in my system.....Much fewer side effects than Methotrex**te.....Fingers crossed everybody ?? xoo

A Christmas Carol is going to be on this weekend, I think a couple of different versions of it. I know for sure the George C. Scott one is going to be on and I think TCM is showing the Alastair Sim version, not 100% on that one but I think so.

Have a wonderful, magical, Christmassy evening, dear Christmas family !!!! xoxo

I can hardly wait. I just love that night! And I love those two movies, too.

Hey yall! Hope everyone is good! Tonight has been a great night....pizza, Christmas Vacation, and The Polar Express....awesome. I didn't watch football tonight and the wife isn't at home....but those two movies are the best ever, so i couldn't pass them up...such a good combination.

This should be a good weekend.....first Christmas party...final shopping weekend....should be a lot of fun....

Tomorrow is the last full day of school and then three more days of testing...then a break....nice.

Hope everyone is well and prayers for all.....

Binger, Made, Seawater, and the rest of the Darlene Love Club....when I check in tomorrow (night), we will be one week away from one of the most anticipated nights of the year....

My heart is broken over the children that were killed in the elementary school shooting in Connecticut. There are no words that can even express this tragedy. There is something so wrong with the world we live in today. It is horrible that people cannot even know their children are safe in school. This may sound terrible but all I keep thinking is that these little five and six year olds were probably so excited to know that Santa was coming in a couple of weeks and now their lives were taken away so suddenly. My prayers are with those families effected ♥

Invite us all over and we can help you kick something at Mr.'s workplace!

All volunteers: Put on your steel-toed or pointy-toed boots and report to the Learjet! We'll line 'em up and you can kick 'em!

Distraught. Simply distraught.

Today, I wept. Kids caught in a horrific situation, in a place where we want them to be the safest...my boss told me to make sure we are keeping doors locked.

Really? We live in a world where have to keep the doors locked at our schools?

I see parents, sitting around a tree....looking at unopened packages for little ones who aren't there...

I'm crushed...I'm at a loss for words....they are kids....5, 6, 7 years old....full of life and covered in innocence...and now tragically gone....

I always try to find the positive in any situation...all I can come up with is that a child is never to far from God. How I hope these kids are in his arms right now...

I agree Coach and thank you for posting this. I have been crying on and off myself. Wondering if I can somehow help even though I know that I cannot. It may be small comfort but those little ones are now with the one whose birthday we commemorate....xo I will be praying for their families....xo

Wayne and I have shed a few tears today. I kept looking at the elementary school across the street where my grandchildren attend and just wanting to bring them home. I finally had to turn off the news, just too much to for me. I will keep praying for all involved.

Coach, thanks for taking extra precaution with those precious children today.

I also have recorded Christmas shows from 25 years ago when my daughter was just a year old. I need to watch them sometime just to check out the commercials!

I did find my cookie cutters, thanks!
