I have to share that I've been a bad boy (We'll most likely from my bosses point of view); lol... I have called out from work two days in a row...playing hooky... I don't know, I sort of have that "I'm sick of working mood going on right now"!

I took off yesterday and Lisa and I spent the day together Christmas shopping, (she likes to take me along because first, I love to go shopping, any kind of shopping...and second, she always tells me that I come up with all these random good ideas in my mind....). We had a real nice time, kinda like a date, we shopped till we dropped sort of thing, ate out, got an Ice cream later in the evening, then drove home thru the thickest fog that I have seen...

Today/ tonight, I'm taking her up to Longwood Gardens (in Pennsylvania), to see some Christmas lights. It is a relly neat place, where they put lights in all the trees outside, in the greenhouses, etc... It is an old Dupont heir property that has been saved and preserved into an arboretum... Really kinda of cool (yes, even for guys!).

Boy, a guy can sure get used to a life like this... Is this what you do when you retire or hit the Powerball or something????lol

Well everyone, hope you all enjoy your day! Remember what my grandfather say's, "If you breathing and on this side of the Earth, then it's a good day!" sound wisdom from a man who's 94.....

Got my haircut first thing this morning, came home and wrapped the gifts I have for my wife. Just a few gifts more to wrap for the boys and all is done. I have to pick up JP in 40 minutes for his Dr appt. Just watching Santa Who? right now.
The weatherman said that a white Christmas around here is looking very unlikely. :-( I don't ever remember having 2 "green Christmases" in a row. Darn Heat Miser! cheesy

I can't get away with that. I live about a mile from work, and in this little town, everyone is in everyone else's business. I can come to work and get four comments on how nice my yard looks the day after I cut the grass. :lol:

Thanks for all the get well wishes! I need them! I want to be better for Wayne's vacation and of course for Christmas!!! Wayne has been so helpful before he leaves for work so I can get the rest I need.

I have not been on here since Wayne and I took our grandson out on Saturday. We had so much fun and did a lot of Christmasy things and ended the night with driving around looking at Christmas lights.

My granddaughter gets her special Christmas Day this week.

I feel so out of it so I am sorry if I don't catch up on everything but did read a lot of post. Prayers to all who are sick or are having a rough time.

I have a feeling I am going to be extra busy starting tomorrow on up until Christmas Day. I just hope I am well so I can enjoy it!

I tried to catch up as much as I could but I've been in a cookie haze this week.. and we got 2 new kitties - a mama and her kitten. The kids are over the moon! (They are named Gingerbread and Sugar Cookie!) I will share pics when I can get a decent one!!

Even the low on Friday seems very unseasonable. cheesy

I wonder how many people think that is the actual forecast, we had a woman come in a couple of weeks ago and bought $400.00 worth of canned cat food to be ready for the end of the world. She bought $400.00 worth at a different store a few days before that. I don't know whether to feel bad for her, and tell her cats don't have opposable thumbs if they survive and she doesn't, or should I get prepared. cheesy

If it's the end, it's the end I'm not going to fret about it.

Took JP to his Dr appt, he has to get a CAT scan due to the headaches he has been experiencing. I am nervous about this. Please keep him and us in your thoughts and prayers.

Wow, we're really on the home stretch now! Even our elderly patients are getting into the spirit of things. It's good to see the older patients looking happy and lively; so often they come in looking dull and bored. Christmas brightens them up a bit.

As Wayne mentioned I am sick with a cold and never made it here on MMC yesterday. My 3 year granddaughter was so sweet when she came over yesterday. She had her teddy bear with her and she told me, "Grandma my teddy bear will make you all better" then she laid the teddy bear right next to me. I think it actually worked for that moment! Sure gave me a big smile.

Last week I had a day of feeling sick to my stomach and she brought over a Santa that I have that plays Christmas music and said, "Grandma, I will play you a song to make you better". She sat the Santa next to me, pressed the button and the music began to play. She said, "You should feel better now". Wow, she is a miracle worker!!! I see a future for her in spreading cheer to all! She is just so darn sweet!!! Her brothers are the same way with compassion.

I haven't read a thing on here yet, my granddaughter will be here in a few minutes. I think another day with my granddaughter and my cold should be completely gone! :wink: I will try to get on here later to catch up!

What a precious angel your granddaughter is !! xo

What's really funny is, my dad was from Buffalo, NY, about as "yankee" as it gets. He met my mom while stationed at Ft. Stewart near here. Her grandaddy told her that, although Mickey is a good boy, yankees and southerners just can't live together. LOL

Everytime I visit dad's family, they want me to talk for them. And when I say "yes, ma'am" or "no, sir", they nudge each other, saying "he called me ma'am, tee hee!"

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I went shopping with Nancy and the kids yesterday afternoon, and we got a few things done. I had to get something for Nancy from the kids, and I never get to go shopping without her, so we had to be sneaky. But, Elizabeth reported on a very nice sweater that Nancy told her she really loved, so Jacob and I (ducking among the clothing aisles, getting some curious looks) grabbed it, bought it, and hid it in the car before Nancy finished her shopping. Success!

7 days from now! Woo hoo!

Hi everyone... Wow the 18th!!! crazy, crazy, crazy... I finished my cookies last night, I have to put them in baskets and start giving them out. I Christmas Pageant opens this Friday, finished my shopping. We went to a Christmas Show over the weekend it was Great, we also went to our neighbors for the "Crazy Christmas Sweater Party" we had a blast, we didn't win this year, but I guess that is OK LOL!!!! We had a Christmas party on Sunday, wow it was fun. I missed our party, I was bummed by that, bet you all had a blast!

Hope you are all enjoying your Christmas and spending time with those you love.
