I lived some of my teen years in Worcester or as it it is pronounced in parts of Massachusetts- Woostah. It is more like a Boston-lite accent there, and I vowed I would never speak like that. Sometimes I drop an R or two but very rarely. cheesy

I loved your voice on the podcast !!!! You were wonderful ! xo

The forecast for friday keeps getting hotter and hotter

Thanks for all the get well wishes! I need them! I want to be better for Wayne's vacation and of course for Christmas!!! Wayne has been so helpful before he leaves for work so I can get the rest I need.

I have not been on here since Wayne and I took our grandson out on Saturday. We had so much fun and did a lot of Christmasy things and ended the night with driving around looking at Christmas lights.

My granddaughter gets her special Christmas Day this week.

I feel so out of it so I am sorry if I don't catch up on everything but did read a lot of post. Prayers to all who are sick or are having a rough time.

I have a feeling I am going to be extra busy starting tomorrow on up until Christmas Day. I just hope I am well so I can enjoy it!

Have a Merry Day!

No need to apologize !!! We are glad to see you sick or well - Just hope you are feeling better soon xo

Hi guys! Just listened to the podcast... loved hearing all of your voices and greetings! I tried to catch up as much as I could but I've been in a cookie haze this week.. and we got 2 new kitties - a mama and her kitten. The kids are over the moon! (They are named Gingerbread and Sugar Cookie!) I will share pics when I can get a decent one!!

Oh what wonderful names !!!!!! Can't wait to see pictures xo Glad to see you !!! xo

Good evening, Christmas family

I couldn't resist !!! I have been making sure to make my signature a Christmas theme, especially reflecting Jesus' birth but our dear friend Shellie12 posted this magnificant photo on my FB timeline and I HAD to put it as my signature for a little bit !!! I just adore it !!!!

Brad, Merrymistletoe and xmas365, Every once in awhile someone will say to me, "where did you get that accent from, I can't figure it out?"

Here I am in Maryland and sometime back, I went to visit a friend in Toledo Ohio and his friends asked me "where are you from Georgia?" lol... (true story!!!)

I'm a mix of Baltimore (ok, ok, I know Brad, techinically, it is below the Mason Dixon line, lol), also, a slang from being raised on a farm by my grandparents and a Virginia accent from my stay in LittleCreek Virginia for 6 years....

Just add a couple of beers to the mix, and look out here it comes out....my wife say's at times, she thinks she married the biggest redneck in Perry Hall, Maryland...lol... I just had to poke some fun at myself!

1x way back, we went to visit my "kin" in Jersey. my s-i-l introduces me as her s-i-l w/ the accent, i stopped her & said, wait a minute, i thought you were the 1 w/ the accent. lol

Good morning, Christmas family !!

It is just 1:16 a.m. here but since I went to bed at 9:00 I am now awake.

Sorry about such a negative post earlier. There are some things going on and it all just gets so overwhelming. MY husband spoke with PERS, where his retirement is through, and they again confirm that I am being cut from the health insurance as of January 2014 AND he is going to have to pay more for his too. We cannot afford both out of his pension and he doesn't want me to drop my insurance. I am going to have to for the sake of surviving. I know it is a year away but a year goes so FAST. Not having a plan in place is very scary especially since I am considered to have a pre-existing condition (asthma).

On top of the above, my sister's little dog, Emily who is the sweetest little girl is in the hospital with a problem with her neck. It could be serious and I am so frightened. I love her like my own and my sister and Wes have been through so much with Wes having had a second heart attack this past year.

I also found out that work is likely to be VERY skimpy next week, which I sort of figured. Having done this job for a while it is common sense to figure a lack of work when everyone is on vacation as many doctors offices often are. It is just one more thing on top of all the rest that is worrying me.

However, when I woke up few moments ago I turned on AMC and lo and behold, A Christmas Carol is on and it is the version I used to watch with my dear parents and family when I was growing up !!!! It is the 1938 version with Reginald Owen. It brings back so many memories and watching it is like visiting with an old friend. The appearance of Jacob Marley used to terrify me in this movie but My mother and my sister would always hover closer to me when we were watching and that made it okay......When I was older of course I figured out that this is just a movie and ghosts don't usually appear like this ! (Yes, I believe in ghosts, i.e., spirits)

Anyway, sorry I was so grumpy earlier. If you could all say a prayer for little Emily I would really appreciate it.

Have a great and wonderful evening/morning, dear Christmas family. You are all wonderful and I love you all xo

(((HUGS))) to all ESPECIALLY:

Ella, Harlowe, Snowball, Gomez, Ophelia, Sidney, Alex, Merlin, Snickers, Victor, Daisy, Diva, Mickey, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Chico, Meca, Alvin, Charlie, Gary, Bailey, Jerrold, Irving, Martha, Uncle Julio, Missy, Scooby, Sasha, Jacob, Cracker, Bunny B, Penny, Pocket, LuLu, Bear-Bear, Stripey, Holly, Fate Puppy (London,) Buster, Missy, Baby, Santa's Polar Bears, Sangria, O'Malley, Beau, Taz, Zema, Rizzo, Bella, Happy, Sam, Guinness, and all furkids everywhere xoxoo

bless you CM3. i'm so sorry you are having to deal w/ all this, especially right now. i am going to say a special prayer just for you. love & great big hugs coming your way (((mmmmm-mmm)))

As Wayne mentioned I am sick with a cold and never made it here on MMC yesterday. My 3 year granddaughter was so sweet when she came over yesterday. She had her teddy bear with her and she told me, "Grandma my teddy bear will make you all better" then she laid the teddy bear right next to me. I think it actually worked for that moment! Sure gave me a big smile.

Last week I had a day of feeling sick to my stomach and she brought over a Santa that I have that plays Christmas music and said, "Grandma, I will play you a song to make you better". She sat the Santa next to me, pressed the button and the music began to play. She said, "You should feel better now". Wow, she is a miracle worker!!! I see a future for her in spreading cheer to all! :D She is just so darn sweet!!! Her brothers are the same way with compassion.

I haven't read a thing on here yet, my granddaughter will be here in a few minutes. I think another day with my granddaughter and my cold should be completely gone! I will try to get on here later to catch up!

your granddaughter sounds so adorable. definitely alot like you, i think. you are blessed to have those babies around you so much! i sure hope you feel better quick, fast, & in a hurry!

What's really funny is, my dad was from Buffalo, NY, about as "yankee" as it gets. He met my mom while stationed at Ft. Stewart near here. Her grandaddy told her that, although Mickey is a good boy, yankees and southerners just can't live together. LOL

Everytime I visit dad's family, they want me to talk for them. And when I say "yes, ma'am" or "no, sir", they nudge each other, saying "he called me ma'am, tee hee!"

oh yes, i've gotten that alot. i can't remember who it was, but someone once asked my hubby, did he know the difference between a yankee & a da?? yankee. a yankee comes to visit & goes home & a da?? yankee brings his uhaul & stays. bahahaha! no offense all my sweet northern friends, i love you all & i didn't say it. some goober hubby works w/ did.

My Southern accent comes out (a) when I get mad, (b) when I get sad and/or cry, (c) when I talk to my sister or other family members on the phone, or (d) when I hear y'all on the PodCast!!! I had to take French phonetics in college, and my professor prided herself on being able to place her students' accents. She could never figure out where I was from!

that's cause you from the carolina's & can camouflage yourself! bahahaha!

your kitties sound precious, congratulations.

Took JP to his Dr appt, he has to get a CAT scan due to the headaches he has been experiencing. I am nervous about this. Please keep him and us in your thoughts and prayers.

i will keep y'all in my prayers.

I'm SO sad ... the greeting that I sent in fell through a crack somehow and didn't get included in the podcast.

I just want to make sure that all of you know that it was a thrill and a pleasure to hear your voices again, and that Mr. and I wish you all a VERY merry Christmas, and the best of everything in the New Year.

oh no, i wonder what happened? i wish y'all a very Merry Christmas as well.

Aww, sorry it didn't get in there! You have a beautiful voice.. wish we could've heard it!

Thank you foer all the warm kitty wishes! I didn't want to get others after we lost Oscar, but the hubby met these kitties at a work benefit (they host a yearly fundraiser for a city rescue) and fell in love... mom and the last baby were in desperate need of a new home or another foster and their sweet faces just reminded me of Oscar's and I couldn't say no... how could I let them go to a shelter if we had a loving home? They are wonderful little gals, too! So loving and not afraid of two very LOUD little boys, so they are just perfect for our family! I call them my shoes because they are always under my feet, following me around.. Maybe I need 2 more legs because my kiddos are often attached to my legs, too! hehe

Ok, off to watch something Christmasy! My DVR is inundated with specials and movies... this time of year overwhelms me, tv-wise!!! :wiggy:

I heard all your voices on the podcast and it gave me a great big smile! I got "stage fright" and asked Wayne to do most of the talking, as you can tell, but I got in on the last part of the greeting! :D

MerryCarey, same thing happened to us last year and somehow didn't make the podcast. We left a greeting but Jeff never received it so not sure what happened. Sorry to hear that happened to you!

Xmas365, praying for your little guy!!! Keep us posted!

Caninemom, I hope you are feeling better!

Just finished listening to the PodCast. What a joy that was!!! Thanks to all of you who participated and were able to get your greetings on there! Sorry for the mishaps for those who didn't. We missed hearing from you!

I heard you right on the tail-end, CAH. At first, I though you were looking for your cookie cutters!

I am starting to feel a bit better and after a good nights sleep should cure this cold completely! I am not sure how much I will be on here for the next several days because Wayne and I will be in full Christmas mode starting tomorrow right up until Christmas Day. As Bob Cratchit would say, "I was making rather Merry", yes that is our plan!

We will try to be here for Darlene Love with the rest of you, if not, we will be thinking about you all!

I will try to pop in when I can between now and Christmas to say hi!

Did I ever tell you all that you're the best group of online people around? As mentioned on the podcast by Christmasstar, I hope we all can meet face to face someday! :D

Be Blessed and have Merry Days ahead!!!

There's nothing more frightening than a sick child. Praying for JP and your family.
