Even though I am back at work and the kids have all went home and about this time is when the post Christmas blues are in full effect this site is helping me keep the spirit alive the day after!

Hope everyone else is fighting the post Christmas blues off!

Umm, can someone come dig me out? I can't open my screen door. There is a 3 foot tall snow drift in front of it.

Okay I got the door open enough to stick my camera out.

That is a lot of snow! So glad you managed to get out. We had one winter when the neighbour had to dig out our front door to get it open.
Keep warm!

I hope everybody here had a great Christmas. My girls had a blast. I can sum up my day as follows: Two Furbys in the same house is annoying as heck. I am glad I am back at the office for a few hours. I need a break from those noisy creatures.

Hey gang! Hope this finds everyone having enjoyed their Christmas day (it sure sounds like it). We had a blast! Slept in, opened gifts over at Mom's, ate lunch, had Christmas with the dogs, ate leftovers, and then around 7:30 last night, things started to get interesting. The winds, which had been blowing all day, picked up and we had sustained winds at about 30 mph. Then, at around 8:30, it started snowing and the lights went off. It was kinda fun because we were just sitting around in the dark with the candles burning and the fireplace going with the dogs all in the living room. It was a good time. We finally went to bed around 12:30, but the temp was already 60, so we knew it was going to be cold. We froze our rear-ends off! When I woke up at 6:30, the lights had just come back on and it was 48 in our house. Talk about cold! Now, things are finally warming back up. We got around 6 inches of snow and 1/2 of the town still doesn't have electricity, so here's hoping they all stay warm!

And I hope all of you stay warm, too!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a great Christmas! I'm all jazzed up from testing out my new Keurig. I won't sleep for a week now. The kids got everything they wanted, and we had some great food.

I think I was luckiest of all, though. My brother and I have started restoring an old '77 Chevy Camaro, the same model I had in high school. When he came to our mom's for Christmas, he brought me an early present seen here. He built the engine without telling me. Then my mom gave me new factory seats for it! WOW!

Of course, my brother loves building racing engines, so he told me to expect 400hp out of this one. Oh my. We'll see. There's still a LOT of work to do.

I hope y'all have a great Pines day! cheesy

And just who bought those noisy creature, Murphman?

I am trying to figure out what to do today. No work, no babysitting, Wayne works today, snow on the ground and the temps are freezing outside. My spirits are better than expected, seeing that it's the day after Christmas. I think I should tackle a project here at the house. I know there is something around here that needs some organizing!

What does everyone else have planned for today???
It is boxing day here, had to take LittleCS to work because buses are not running. Banks and post office closed...but mall is open!
I am cleaning up around here, just finished making lunch. Discovered there is still a piece of lemon cheese cake in the fridge so I get dessert too.

Good morning, everyone! Hope you're day after Christmas is going well. Is still Christmas here for us and with be for awhile!

It is snowing here in Central Pa. We're supposed to get 4 to 8 inches. I am glad I'll be staying at home with the kids. W'ell be playing with new toys, watching Christmas movies, eating popcorn, etc.! DH has to work, so we'll be spending time together tonight.

I'm currently taking toys out of their boxes and trying to find spots to put everything. The kids are going nuts with everything they got. I just love seeing their faces with everything.

I will be back later to chat. Talk soon! God Bless and keep smiling! :)
another nice day! It is fun to watch children as they open gifts.
Enjoy your day as you wait out the storm.

I have the fireplace on and I am drinking a cup of coffee, trying to keep warm. We're getting ready to eat lunch, but I think after that, I will put some Christmas music on!

Wayne and I have one and we bought my parents one for Christmas. Be sure to go on their website and register it. You will get a coupon code for buy 2 get 2 free on K-Cups. My dad is at my house right now shopping online for K-Cups!

It's the day after Christmas, and everyone is back to work. Ah well. Christmas was great this year. Couldn't have been better. I guess it's time to look forward to the turkey leftovers!

Ow!!! My back!!! It's definitely a wet heavy snow. The good news is that both my mom and aunt got sent home from work early. My mom made it home without any problems even though she didn't go over 20 mph the whole time. My aunt made it to her driveway and then got stuck at the end of it. Close enough though.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! Umm, yeah there is a blizzard outside. I can't see anything out of my window and the winds are just howling. both made it to work okay, so hopefully the worse of it will be over before it's time for them to come home. They both took extra clothes with them just in case. My aunt said she would just sleep on the couch in her office and my mom is about 3 blocks away from 3 major hotels. There is also a DOT garage a couple of miles down the street from her work. So the street to the hotels should be passable hopefully. I was going to go out and start shoveling but I think that is going to be a waste of my time right now. So I'll just sit here and enjoy my hot apple cider and watch the news. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad they made it safe and hope they get home safe enjoy your cider, does that get you drunk or tipsy ?

I had already posted about our big Christmas Eve celebration with lots of family, food and fun. We also had our annual bingo game with scratch off lotto tickets and gag gifts as prizes. There is always a lot of laughter in the house, fun, fun and more fun! My 22 year old son started a tradition of making his (as we call it) Christmas Noodles. It's a recipe he makes with Ramen Noodles and it's a big hit that everyone has requested him to make. They are really good and inexpensive to make! We had a variety of other foods as well, not just noodles! =)
I got a kick out of my dad on Christmas Eve. My parents came over a little early and before company arrived and my dad asked if we had Frosty the Snowman and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas on DVD. Of course we do! Anyway, he sat down and watched both of them back to back by himself. I would have sat down with him but I was busy in the kitchen. He enjoys the voice of Jimmy Durante and Boris Karloff in those shows. And I wonder where I got my love for Christmas from???
Christmas Day was a quiet one and very nice! Wayne and I started the morning opening gifts we got for each other then went to my job to feed all the animals. We came home laid around and watched Christmas shows on TV, played some Scrabble, ate lunch, laid around some more all while snow was falling. When it got dark Wayne and I got got in the car, stopped by 7/11 for some hot chocolate and drove around looking at Christmas lights with Christmas music blaring on the radio. Came home to watch more Christmas shows and was out by 9:30 pm. We have been running so much all week long that it was really nice just to relax on Christmas! We savored every second together and enjoying a beautiful White Christmas!
I have enjoyed all the Christmas stories from you so far and cannot wait to hear more!
Sounds like a gfood time was had by all and the snoqw just topped it of

love the kuerig! Did demo on it for 4 weeks and we also have one...plus enough of the kcups left over from the demos to last a year!

I took the glass out of the bottom of the screen door and knocked the drift away with my shovel.

A suggestion that might just help combat the after-Christmas blues--get ready for a whole new year: go to 100DaystoChristmas.com to get started planning for next year! Tonight they are launching 100 Days of a New Year 2013 eBook. The first book on the 100 Days to Christmas begins on September 16. The New Year book begins, obviously, with the new year and goes through April. The review states: A daily dose of inspiration for navigating a new year, 100 Days of a New Year 2013 eBook is a journey that leads you through 100 days to a more-focused you. As a bonus, you get 75 lists and worksheets from ListPlanIt.com to guide and motivate you to set goals, better manage your health and finances, and clean and organize your home. There will also be a book on summer that begins in May.

I have found that planning and anticipation help me curb any letdown that might occur with any holiday. Stacey, are you going to the site tonight? I am going to try to be there.
