Well hows your day going by the post all seems good
We over here are into the last few hours of 2012 6 and a half to go
I dont no what to do tonight. am so tired the shop was busy to day and keep me on my toes
One friend is having a few up at his coffee shop and then to a local bar, but they no at 11 its home for me
Another friend/ex neigbhour is having a new year/house warming party dont think she wood be that happy with me leaving to go home so i think that a no no
Then a few more are are all heading to out local bar for music ,Truth at this minute i want to sleep and if i do i wont see new year in i will be snoring just like scooby is now on the sofa lol am just hoping no one lands to me if i hear the gate i think i will hide down the roon is that bad of me?? , but i have a few hours yet to see what am doing lol

We have decided to let the boys stay up until midnight with us to see 2013 come in. Fortunately none of us has to be up early in the morning so it's all good. We were going to drink our New Year's "toast" with sparkling grape juice but the boys have requested eggnog instead (gross!) so I guess I'm the odd man out this year. Then on to our Hoppin' John New Years Day dinner tomorrow. For us that's ham, black-eyed peas, cabbage, and cornbread......and then a nap!

Have a great New Year's Eve everyone! Stay safe and if you don't think you can stay safe then stay home See y'all later on tonight!!

Does that say Yawn in Binger's post? That can't be right. Somebody must have hacked their account. Then again, maybe it's more serious. Their coffee supply could be running low and it's a call for help!! Seawaters fire up the lear!!! We have to save Binger!!!

It will be a very quiet New Years Eve for me... The Mrs got called into work tonight, (apparently the ER is overwhelmed with so many people having the flu and also a nasty virus that is going around, that they had to call in extra staff), my son and daughter are staying over their friends houses so, that leaves me alone tonight! :sad: Yup, just me and the bunny rabbit....Sounds real exciting doesn't it? Oh well, It will have to be a one person party; whoo-hoooo~

I just opened up my 2013 Farmers' Almanac and the, "Thought of the Year" is:

"One can complain because rosebushes have thorns - or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses".

It might be an old saying but it's a great reminder on how to look at life and start off the New Year with this kind of thinking!

Hi all... I know I have been MIA lately but just spending time enjoying Christmas and all the season offers. We we to a local play in Port Jefferson, NY it was wonderful they do a Christmas Carol like no other can. We also went to a light show it was so much fun. I like what Xmas said yesterday, I too am not ready to let go we are having so much fun. CAH I love your plans for New Years Eve... We have a block party - we can't wait so no one has to drive and no one is left out by us it is going to be good fun!!!!

I just posted my final post in the Christmas Song A Day (at least for 2012) It has been a fun experience searching for new songs daily. I am a little sad about it because I made it part of my day. I may pick it up again in a few days, weeks, months. But 366 days at least one song per day my goal is done. Thank you for all who participated in the journey with me.

When growing up my parents would rent a movie projector from the library and we would watch a couple of movies on new years eve. We also played bingo, dad would buy the strangest gifts as prizes. We ate lots of croquettes, olie bollen and assorted other snacks. Lots of fun and great memories. I continued this as my kids grew up.
Your kids will remember these moments for a life time so have fun with it!
