I took a very blurry pic last night but I didn't upload it yet to show you guys my town's tree is still up and lit!! I can see it if I go out front and look down the street

I try to explain that to my bro-in-law, he always picks on me for loving Christmas. He is the type that "cannot" listen to Christmas music before Black Friday, he laughs at my Christmas t-shirts, and the fact that I keep my decorations up longer and come to this site.. It is what makes me happy, he is a big Patriots fan, following everything about them, the draft, the rumors, the losses in the Super Bowl, and he belongs to online game forums but I don't pick on him It is what makes him happy and I respect him.

Let your Christmas freak flag fly!

Good afternoon,

I have taken down 2 of our trees, the 7.5 foot:

and the 3 foot tree that goes in the bay window. We still have our living room tree up, at least for a few more days. I also put most of the decorations away and unplugged the outdoor lights.
That and laundry is what I have been doing so far today, nothing special, I do realize I need to get another tote, we have seemed tohave inherited or bought more stuff this year.

I guess I am very lucky that all my friends and family seem to enjoy my love for Christmas and sometimes feed on it. My dad will just randomly buy me Christmas related items that he sees at thrift stores when he sees them in the middle of the summer! My daughter makes sure to tell me anything Christmas related that might happen in "off season". A few others do these things as well. It's nice!

Who knows? Maybe someone is whispering behind my back. :cry: But I say, "Who cares"! :lol:

People around us should not bother us with our love for Christmas. =)

hi my fellow xmas nuts....i hope y´all are doing good....I have the feeling that my cold is slowly getting better....the throat is still sore tho.....but I think I am getting there....S L O W L Y

I just got back from the vet with Chico a couple of hours ago for a check up on his heart. The vet said he sounded well and wants to see him in a few months for a follow up but so far things are good. I just keep praying!

My mother was here for a little bit looking at the films. I discovered some video taken of them attending the Rose Parade! We don't have an exact date but it was sometime in the 40's. That was fun to find! Still no sign of Christmas but we found New Years Day at the parade!

Caninemom, I hope Wish is doing well today!

Awwww...Thanks CAH !! So glad little Chico is doing well. Wish seems to be feeling pretty good today !!

Hubby went to the Lodge for a quick Cub Scout meeting and then headed over to the church for Knights of Columbus meeting. The Knights meeting is a dinner meeting so I will fend for myself tonight. Not too hungry, so I will probably just snack. How is everyone tonight? TTYL

Hey Seawaters.....I am pretty beat tonight. I wound up working 10 hours today because of distractions here....At least I might sleep well tonight ! xo

I was really tired earlier, but now with the meds kicking in, I feel a little more feisty! How in the world can you work 10 hours? Hubby did that when he worked in engineering at the Forest Service. He worked four 10s--four days of 10 hours each and then was off on Fridays. I don't think I could teach for 10 hours straight!

Even though I am not really tired, I am going to put on my jammies and go sit in the TV room, rest, and read. I have a phone interview with Social Security on Monday, and on Tuesday, I go to Chico to fill out retirement papers with CalSTRS, the California State Teachers Retirement Service. After all the paperwork is completed, I will receive my first retirement check after 45 days. I also need to meet with my financial planner at Edward Jones. I think my last day of work will be January 31, 2013. It feels so good to type that!!! TTYT
