That is great, what a beautiful Santa.

I wish I had some of my childhood Christmas stuff. It was all lost years ago between all the moves we did. I guess that is why I try to find old stuff that brings back some memories and why that Time/Life commercial means so much to me.

Same here! I have been playing this collection for over 20 years. Started with the LP, then cassette tape, now the CD! I love seeing the commercial to it.

My 3 year old granddaughter is pretending to bake me Christmas cookies with her play kitchen. They must be Valerie glitter cookies because she said there are sparkles all over them. I can't wait until they are ready to try them out!

Well, I am going to go play with her and enjoy some of her homemade baking.

Have a fun day everyone!

Good morning,

LC didn't want to go to his daycare today, he was about to cry when I left him there. The little ones there were going "come on LC" they wanted to play with him. I did some running around after that, I had to look at a camera since ours is taking such crappy pictures now. I stopped at KMart and all of their Christmas clearance was all gone. Oh well, it will be back in 8.5 months. The camera is something I will have to talk to my wife about, maybe we can put it on layaway. I have no energy today, I am supposed to be doing my laundry, and picking up.

Have a great day!!!

Snowflake!!! I love that Santa!!! So nice that you got it.

I have a couple of ornaments from my childhood. Wayne has one as well. We cherish those more than any other on our tree!

Thank you!!

Aren't those some of the best things about Christmas? It's so nice to have those memories & pieces of our past. And I'm sure it's a wonderful feeling as a parent to be able to pass them down to your children.

Neat!

I think instead of calling it metallic flake, I'll start calling it....

GLITTER!

And instead of a Firebird on the hood, we can do a Christmas Tree outline, or even better, a silhouette of Santa, his sleigh and the reindeer!

Who has a copy of Photoshop that can put that on a Camaro hood?!

Now that's a great idea, Brad!!

True! Now if I could come up with a good excuse at home! Umm... Well... my dogs needed attention, I can't mop the floor. The sun was shining and I wanted to get outside so I can't do the laundry. Wayne and I want to go out for the day and play so no getting yard work done! The distractions never end at home! Those are great excuses to not get work done! Oh yeah, Made needs his dishes done so mine get neglected! What's up with that? (My projects finally get done eventually!)

At work I have valid reasons not to get certain things done right away, customers first! I eventually get my work done because I hate unfinished projects at work. It gets so hectic at work at times but it's a fun job!

LOL, my problem at home is that I keep poping in here between jobs!

I love that commercial, too!!

Is there anything in particular that you've been looking for? I know you love Shiny Brite ornaments.

There's a gift shop & garden center here called Down To Earth that I first visited back in November when I was house hunting. It had so many neat vintage Christmas items! I know I'll go back again this year @ the beginning of the season. I can keep an eye out on things for you :)

I bought a few things. It's a really cool place!

Good Morning, friends!!

Happy Tuesday =]

What are your plans for the day?

I need to do some housework, course reading, and Harlowe
walking

It's really slippery outside! It's still sleeting, and just cold enough to freeze over good. I'm glad I don't have to do any running around today.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!!!
was just talking to my mom and she said anyone outside needs to be careful when walking as there are ice patches under the puddles. The temps are going up here and the rain might hang around all day so there will not be much snow left by tonight.

My granddaughter is serving me a whole lot of different food but she just informed me that she put the "Valerie Glitter" cookies in the microwave and they will be ready in 2 hours?! This should be interesting!

Bradmac, I love the idea of your Christmas Car!!! =)

I'll keep LC in my thoughts, Xmas.

What kind of camera do you want?

Adrian wants a new one, too. Ours is on it's last leg. It's on the list! We also want a bike for me, tv for downstairs family room, and more shelving for the garage.

Stay safe & dry!!

My sister came to visit recently, and brought a Christmas tote of mine =]

This Santa has been in my family ever since I can remember. My Mom said she & Dad are ready to start downsizing, and asked us if there's anything that we wanted that had sentimental value...I asked her for this guy and she couldn't find him for a few years. I was ecstatic when she did!!

He brings back so many childhood Christmases.

how wonderful! I love items that have so much memories attached to them.

I just keep an eye out for things that jog my memory, hence why my tree is covered in C7 lights and bubble lights. I don't remember too much of the ornaments, but I know my favorite one from my childhood I broke when I was 10-ish? It looked like these:

We also had some big wax covered ornaments that had Christmassy scenes all over them, they looked similar to this:

We never used them because they were so heavy on the tree.

It keeps me busy. One of the reasons I want to own a Christmas store.

Something inexpensive, I have my eye on the GE X400 15X zoom 14MP Digital Camera, I have read a lot of good reviews on it so it is just what we need for now.

I love those ornaments, Xmas. Very beautiful!!

i'll let you know if I find some.

And I remember the waxy ones. So unique!

We had some similar to them, but they had a snowy, clear glittery finish. Mom also had some candles like that. I would love to find some one day!

Everyone keep safe with that serious weather around today, I heard tornado warnings and severe t-storms are on the menu in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and so on.

Thanks! We've had some heavy thunder storms so far in my neck of the woods in Oklahoma, but nothing too bad yet. My wife gets very nervous as her house blew away during a record breaking tornado we had in May of '99 (before we were married). Anyway, since then, she keeps an eye on the weather.

Hey Christmas family !!

Sneaking on here really fast...Does anyone know about the movie Hotel Transylvania ?? I thought it looked cute but if it is not worth it I don't want to rent it ...Any opinions ???

Thanks, Christmas family - See you later !! oxoxoxxoo

That must've been terrifying.

Thinking of you guys! Stay safe.
