I am hearing about some heavy snow for some of you all. We are suppose to get in the mid 70's up to 80 degrees today. I wouldn't mind having a little of your snow here! For now I will enjoy the mild temps to get some outdoor work done and ride my bike!

Stay safe in the harsh weather headed your way!

Sounds like Heaven to me!

All boy, now that sounds exciting, I would be right out in it, just like a little kid.... It would especially be nice if you didn't have to work and if you were home, and had a fire in the fireplace, a cup of hot tea in your hands while looking out the window, as the snow is piling up outside.....

Uggggh (Is that what Charlie Brown says, lol)? I wish it was here, we have yet to get any amount of snow this winter.... It is starting to appear as another bust again for this year; snow-less again (As I am saying it just like Eeyore.....)

Wow, 60 inches?

It is gonna be a doozy! They are already telling people to stay off the roads on Friday, one model said there is going to be 60 inches dropped in Boston, but the weather folks said don't believe that one. I better get my snow rake ready.

Stay safe, Xmas and MC!

Good evening,

It was a busy night at work, lots of people preparing for the big storm. Customers were saying one school in the area has already said they will be closed for Friday. I talked to my management about what I should do if I can't make it in, so my plan will be in place, I am not going to risk my life for a few pounds of hamburger. Just winding down from work now, I hope everyone has a good night.

Don't you just love it when a person in the public light thinks he or she speaks for the public?

It's funny you mention that you like Ray Lewis. There is a local sports radio talk show host here in Dallas named Randy Galloway and he hates Lewis, and thinks everybody hates him. Today he was going over Forbes magazine "10 Most Hated Athletes" and Ray Lewis wasn't on it, he went crazy. Not to mention that Tony Romo is on it.

Here is the list in order from most hated to least hated.

1. Lance Armstrong
2. Manti Te'o
3. Tiger Woods
4. Jay Cutler
5. Metta World Peace (what the heck kind of name is that?)
6. Alex Rodriguez
7. Michael Vick
8. Kurt Busch
9. Kobe Bryant
Tony Romo

I am not saying I agree or disagree with this list, I am just sharing it because I thought it was interesting and never even knew this list existed.

Stay safe, too, Star!

Winter storm watch for
Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County issued

Significant snowstorm threatening Thursday night and Friday.

An Alberta clipper currently tracking southeastward through the Dakotas is expected to track across the us midwest tonight and Thursday then track just south of Lake Erie on Friday. This clipper may intensify into a winter storm as it approaches Southern Ontario.
Many parts of Southern and Eastern Ontario may receive 15 cm (about 5 inches)of snow from this storm by Friday evening. Some areas may receive higher amounts, with 25 cm (about 10 inches) not out of the question

not quite as much snow as you, but still a fair pile

Love those scant days!

Good Morning, Nearly-to-Weekend-Eve Friends.

Can we be this far along in the rolling week already?
Let's check.....

Yep. The calendar agrees.

We can also all agree on the importance of the following:
Days to the Season: 279
Days to Christmas Day: 321
We are but a scant five days off now from the second of the Milestones on our journey to Christmas, the 1/4 Season marker.
(So close to the start of the 2nd quarter!)

Warm weather (for February) continued yesterday but it will take a cool, wet turn today.
We stand just under 40 degrees here in the capital city at this hour.

Have a Totally and Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday, Folks.
And start getting yourself mentally ready for a Wonderous Weekend just ahead!

Oh, yes. I remember Valloween from last year!

good morning everyone! nothing new going on here. i am off today & i will take advantage of taking it easy now to rest up for Valloween next week.

merrycarey & xmas, i will be praying for y'all & all who are in the area of the storm this weekend.

i hope everyone has a nice Friday-eve!:merry:

I sure hope you get to work from home, MC. Even though it is not under the best of circumstances, it can still be exciting. Just the change of venue is cause for celebration. I remember one year when we had to go to school on Saturday to make up extra snow days. It was exciting to be there under different circumstances. Take care!

Thursday hello ... :-)

I don't think you'll be getting quite as much snow out your way, but it still won't be any picnic. There are a lot of scoffers saying "weather hype," but my understanding is that the major models are agreeing on this one, so a big fat hairy Nor'easter is definitely on the way. (I have a feeling that some of those scoffers are the same ones who will be buying gallons of milk at the last minute ...) I'll be watching the forecasts tonight and battening down the hatches. We're well stocked, so we should be okay.

Another reason I'm sure there will be a nasty storm ... one of our agency's clients is an electric utility company, and they informed us yesterday that they want to run an ad on Monday about their response to the storm ...

The Christmas ornament is what made me laugh, too!

That gave me a giggle! Never heard that song before.

I like Hoda Kotb! I like her and Kathie Lee Gifford. It seems a lot of people make fun of Kathie Lee but I have always like her and always will. (To each their own! cheesy) I think her and Hoda are a great team! I like that she found a Christmas ornament in her purse!

I finished the book last night. I would definitely recommend it! She discusses her mastectomy and the breakup of her marriage, among other things. She has a great way with words!

I am jealous, too, MGRamsey. I miss snow most of all the seasonal hallmarks!

I'm very jealous of you folks in New England. I wish we could have another storm like the blizzard of 1993 when we got 3 feet of snow. My aunt & uncle, who lived way out of town, were without power for 4 weeks. Since we have a well, we lose water when power is out. We usually fill one of the bath tubs up with water when a storm is on the way.

Stay safe everyone. Hope those in the storm are able to stay home and enjoy it.

Have a blessed day.

It is overcast here in northern California this morning and a little chilly, too. Not much planned for today except to do laundry and get ready for the school board meeting tonight, my last official act! Those of you in the path of inclement weather, take care and hunker down. Get some Christmasy supplies and bake up a storm!!!

Good afternoon, everyone! How are you all doing? All is well here, just sitting and relaxing, which I am enjoying!

What is everyone up to today? I already have dinner in the crock pot. I put a whole chicken in there earlier, so I will have to just do the sides later on. Here in a little while, I have to do some packing. DH and I are going to see Luke Bryan tomorrow night. The kids are going to my in-laws, so we're going to stay in a hotel for the night then. I'm so excited to get away for a day or so, plus, so excited to see Luke...yahhhh...sorry Made!

Anything new with anyone? Nothing really here. My kids are growing like weeds. DS is talking so much and is ALL boy. It is so funny to see how different he is from EA. I love seeing the differences from a girl and boy. EA is really growing too and is getting so much taller...love watching kids grow and know they are healthy!

Well, I'm going to read some of the Countdown and more of the site! Hope all is well and all is well with your families and furbabies too! Miss you all. Thinking of you all and praying for anyone who needs my prayers. God Bless and continue to smile...all of you!
