It's funny you mention that you like Ray Lewis. There is a local sports radio talk show host here in Dallas named Randy Galloway and he hates Lewis, and thinks everybody hates him. Today he was going over Forbes magazine "10 Most Hated Athletes" and Ray Lewis wasn't on it, he went crazy. Not to mention that Tony Romo is on it.

Here is the list in order from most hated to least hated.

1. Lance Armstrong
2. Manti Te'o
3. Tiger Woods
4. Jay Cutler
5. Metta World Peace (what the heck kind of name is that?)
6. Alex Rodriguez
7. Michael Vick
8. Kurt Busch
9. Kobe Bryant
Tony Romo

I am not saying I agree or disagree with this list, I am just sharing it because I thought it was interesting and never even knew this list existed.

I understand why quite a few are on the list, the cheaters, the criminals, and just plan "bad teammates." I guess Te'o is on there because a lot of people think that he had something more to do with that "catfishing" scam ytahn will admit to.
Very interesting list.

I wonder who the most loved athletes are?

Well, I guess better go get some things done around here. I've enjoyed chatting with you guys for a change. I wish it could be like this everyday!!!

I will try to stop back later on...talk to you guys hopefully then! Enjoy the rest of your afternoon!

Always nice to see you !!!! xo

I agree with you Christmasstar...my sweet mom was never the same after my dad passed. No one can understand unless they've experienced the devastation of being with someone for so many years and suddenly being alone.
Prayers and good thoughts for Grandma and brent.

You are so right, Momnan....I was just 38 when my first husband passed and I have not been the same since.......

good morning everyone! nothing new going on here. i am off today & i will take advantage of taking it easy now to rest up for Valloween next week.

merrycarey & xmas, i will be praying for y'all & all who are in the area of the storm this weekend.

i hope everyone has a nice Friday-eve!:merry:

I love the term "valloween" that is hilarious. Thank you for your prayers for the blizzard. We are hearty New Englanders, it is in our blood. cheesy

Thursday hello ... :-)

I don't think you'll be getting quite as much snow out your way, but it still won't be any picnic. There are a lot of scoffers saying "weather hype," but my understanding is that the major models are agreeing on this one, so a big fat hairy Nor'easter is definitely on the way. (I have a feeling that some of those scoffers are the same ones who will be buying gallons of milk at the last minute ...) I'll be watching the forecasts tonight and battening down the hatches. We're well stocked, so we should be okay.

Another reason I'm sure there will be a nasty storm ... one of our agency's clients is an electric utility company, and they informed us yesterday that they want to run an ad on Monday about their response to the storm ...

I have heard some of the totals they are saying out your way are ranging near the 3 feet amounts, I hope that is wrong. They are predicting 2 feet here. I live in a mountain town, we usually get a little more than the rest of the Springfield area. I will keep you in my thoughts.

MerryCarey~
We are experiencing some of the same, but not at all in the measurements you guys are talking about!
Stay safe and make sure you have flashlights, batteries and all that good stuff at the ready! Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Stay safe and warm, Momnan !! xo

I took a short nap and woke up to not feeling well. I think I will laze around and then take a shower. Maybe I will feel better then. After all, Ihave to talk at hte school board meeting tonight!

((((Seawaters)))) feel better xoxo

I ordered my mom a Valentine's Day present. She always does so much for me so hopefully it makes her smile! I wish my grandma was still here because I would be doing something special for her, too. It's a shame she never got to know how much I appreciated her!

((((Jennifer)))) Your grandma knows.....xo

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high around 50. The bad thing is that it's going to start storming here in a bit so I can't really get out and enjoy it. I get to play accountant today. I have my mom's, Sister's, and Aunt's taxes to do. Fun Times. I actually don't mind it. I took 3 years of accounting in high school and that was my original plan in life. Then I decided that I could never stand a job that required me to sit behind a desk all day long. So I went the mechanic route. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Made, you really are a jack of all trades. Your family is so lucky to have you around.

Valloween is the name I gave to that horrible dreaded day, February 14th. i know everyone loves it but NOT ME! Valloween=nightmare!!!!! I think most in the floral industry would agree w/ me, lol.

NOW I get it !!! xo...sorry Valentine's Day is not a very good day for you...xo

Good morning, MMC! There is a nice snowy gif for you all to stare at in anticipation of the blizzard that is approaching the northeast. I just got done saying I am sick of the snow, but I am very jealous of everyone who is getting the blizzard! There is so much hype on the news and with the media about the storm. (PS: Did anyone know the snowstorm is named Nemo? haha!) I wish we would get a little bit so I could have something to look forward to. I am on the western end of PA so it doesn't look like we'll be getting anything. Who knows, though. These systems can always shift. The only blizzard that I ever experienced was the one of 1993 and I was only a toddler then. If you're in the path of the blizzard, please be careful! Get all of your grocery shopping done ASAP and stock up on whatever you need. Don't go to work unless you have to if it's supposed to hit on Friday. You think businesses would be smart enough to close than risk their employees' lives!

I seem to be feeling better this morning. I think there is some kind of stomach bug going around because three of us in my house weren't 100% this week. As much as I love December and Christmas, I hate the two/three months afterward. Winter just drags on and I am so tired of all of the gross sicknesses that spread. Flus? Colds? Stomach bugs? No thank you! It does not help that people in my class do not know how to cover their mouths when they sneeze/cough. I caught a cold earlier in the semester because someone sneezed right on me. After that, I started carrying tissues with me and covering my mouth/face when anyone sneezed or coughed near me.

Things have been really boring around here, other than school and work. The weather has been so bad that I haven't been able to go much of anywhere lately. I don't think I have been to the mall since early January. We've just been getting snow, sleet, freezing rain, ice, downpours, etc. The roads haven't been very good for the past month or two. We'll get a nice day here or there but that's it. I am ready for spring!

Valentine's Day is a week from today. Does anyone have any special plans? I don't! It's usually boring unless you have someone to celebrate with, which I don't. My friends and I might make a movie night out of it.

I hope you're all doing well and that your families are good, too. Hopefully no one else has to deal with sickness this winter. I hate reading when anyone has the flu or isn't feeling well because I am so sympathetic!

Have a good day everyone! I will pop back on later :)

The malls are so boring now that all of the decorations are gone, you're not missing much by not going. I am glad you are feeling better. The wife and I are most likely heading to The Steaming Tender for dinner on Valentine's Day. http://www.steamingtender.com/

I am hearing about some heavy snow for some of you all. We are suppose to get in the mid 70's up to 80 degrees today. I wouldn't mind having a little of your snow here! For now I will enjoy the mild temps to get some outdoor work done and ride my bike!

Stay safe in the harsh weather headed your way!

I'm sure MC and myself could spare you a foot or two. cheesy
