I never have a good answer to that question! Because I work on something little by little in my spare time, and the demands on my spare time vary. The work is in progress anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, but I would have no idea as to the number of actual work-hours.

Hm, I've never photographed a work-in-progress before. Could be interesting!

The colors are semi-Christmassy. The greens are on the "leafy" side, and the reds aren't really reds: one is a mild orange-pink (sort of salmony), and the other is a strong orange-pink. Some other time I may buy more yarn and make one in truer Christmas colors.

Thanks! We went to D'Angelos for lunch, and next we're going to run some 16mm film downstairs, some new acquisitions from eBay. A cartoon, a couple of Soundies, a couple serial chapters, and "When Comedy Was King" (a compilation of excerpts from silent comedies: Chaplin, Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, Billy Bevan, Edgar Kennedy, etc.). Should be a fun "matinee"!

I really like that movie compilation. It has so many of the greats ! xo

Good afternoon, MMC!

The kitchen is all cleaned up and I am drinking one last cup of coffee before I go. Speaking of go, most of the snow has melted away. All that is left are the dirty piles from shoveling - I will be very glad when I don't have to see those any more! Such an eye sore. The cats like playing on them, though, so I guess they are good for something. cheesy

Have a most MERRY day and be safe!!!

Have a wonderful Saturday afternoon and evening, Meceka - Maybe I will see you later at the Skillet ! xo

Good Morning MMC!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high in the mid 40's. Then winter arrives late tonight. It looks like we are still on track for 6 to 10 inches of snow by Monday morning. Booo!!! All of the talk about convention last night led to me having an awesome dream. Instead of going to Louisville or Detroit, I convinced all of you to just fly here to Indianapolis. That way we were in between Santa Claus, Indiana and Bronners. Then Instead of renting hotel rooms, all of you stayed here at my apartment building since all of my neighbors have spare bedrooms and air mattresses. It was like a giant sleep over that involved setting up a TV in the yard for Christmas movies and Caroling in the middle of summer. Then we went out and rented a couple of passenger vans and made an overnight trip to Santa Claus, IN. Then we came back here for a few days show I could show you around town. Then we made another overnight trip up to Bronner's and camped out in tents in Meceka's front yard. It was a blast and a little weird. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha!! That's an awesome dream!! :)

I like this dream! I would put it right up there with the one I had the other night in which Gerard Butler was my singing banker. :D

That is a really good dream ;)

Morning everyone! Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Seawaters you are in my thoughts :) As usually love reading what everyone is up to. Courage and strength to everyone having a tough time.

It is snowing here ! I don't know where this sudden winter spell has come from especially as this week has been very much spring *puzzling*
I love the snow but I am ready for Spring now. My mom is visiting from abroad so I am hoping the bad weather doesn't impact on her trip - fingers crossed.

Okay well have a great weekend everybody !

Enjoy the visit with your mom!

He's friends with a cousin of mine. They went to college together. Nice guy from what I understand. He's from Leesburg, GA, not to far away.

Also, Buster Posey, the catcher for the SF Giants, and Phillip Phillips.

Leesburg is a tiny town, but they have many famous folks form there!

Gosh !! Do you know anyone who might know the guys in Third Day ?? I LOVE them !! xo

Well, it's more like listening to television! I look up now and then. When we're watching films downstairs, I work on a scrap afghan using a stitch pattern that calls for working into spaces rather than into stitches, so I can crochet in the dark!

Here's the afghan I'm working on (it's a kit from Herrschner's). I liked the combination of squares and ripples, and I couldn't resist the pattern name! It's a bit of a pain because there are so many color changes---there are dozens of tails to weave in.

Wow, that is beautiful!! Love the colors & pattern!

I bought some ergonomical crochet hooks and might test them out tonight if I am not too tired. I bought three little crochet booklets, one including a pattern for a hat similar to Snowflake's Pippi Longstocking one, but I am not ready to tackle it yet until I get my "pile of stuff" more organized. I am not sure when that will be completed, but it has to be soon!!! Which project are you working on?

Sounds cool! What color or pattern are you making?

Odd? I'll tell you odd: I didn't even get my license until I was 24 because of my fears!!! But I will admit that I can drive anywhere and not be afraid now. Unless, of course, I am driving a VW Bug on a dark country road, with the wind blowing just a little, and I run out of gas, and Jason is on the loose, and I open my door and leave it open and leave my headlights on, and the battery goes dead!!! And what else...oh, yeah, some creepy, scary music starts playing....

Hahaha!! You had me cracking up!!
Boo to hockey masks & the woods!!
Cargo vans also creepy!

Today I thought, oh no! I hope I don't break down on the country roads...
I watch too many true crime shows...

Good afternoon, MMC!!

How are you guys doing?

I had a fabulous little road trip to see my sister & niece. We had fun browsing around, and then had a delicious lunch. Then, Aly & I played in the kids area there. Here's a pic of us playing school:

I made a few stops on the way home. There's a beautiful church in Independence, so I stopped for a few photos. Here's one of them..

...And then I stopped at this wonderful little shop in Eleva, called Family Farms Market. They make their own cheese, wine, chocolates, etc. & have locally produced meats & fish too. They also have a beautiful gift shop & restaurant. It's awesome, and I will go back... Often!

Here's a pic of the outside:

...and this sweetie greeted me...loved him!!

And this is the restaurant part, so cozy!

And last but not least, a trip to one of the few remaining covered bridges in Wisconsin. It's also in Eleva =]

It still has a wreath & Christmas lights on it! Made me happy!
