Yeah, but back then you weren't really interested in the movie anyway, LOL! So, of course, it didn't matter what was playing!

Yeah, Evil Dead 2 was a bit silly. Not my favorite.

You guys still have a drive-in? That's super! Be sure to support it as often as you can. They are disappearing quickly around here. The closest drive-in is 60 miles away now.

When I was in HS, we went to the drive-in every Saturday night. It didn't even matter what was playing. I sure miss that place.

Good morning, Christmaws friends. Another sun shiny day here in northern California, well, except for the fact I am more in central California for a few more days, near Fresno. We had some rain yesterday, but it let up enough for Hubby and our nephew to do work on the Eagle Scout project. It is almost completed. The guys are going to an NRA dinner tonight, so SIL and I are going out to dinner. She hasn't told me where! Take care, everyone. I need to catch up on some other boards and will check in later.

It's a huge workload, but hang in there. It moves you toward that day when someone will be paying you to do the work, instead of you paying a college to assign you the work.

Good morning, MMC!

I am sorry that I haven't been around much. I feel so out of the loop! I don't know what has been going on with anyone or how you all have been doing. Did everyone have a nice Easter? One holiday down means we're just getting closer to Christmas! I do feel really bad that I haven't been around. I miss everyone!

I have been so busy with college lately that it is just unreal. I would rather have a full-time job and work eight hours a day than deal with all of the work that I have right now. Typically I can handle a lot but it's crazy this month. I started a new class a month ago. This class only runs for half of the semester and it is supposed to be harder than any other class offered at my university. The class isn't horrible itself but the workload is so much. I have at least five assignments every week for that one class. My second class is also becoming very busy and I have three huge projects to complete by the end of April along with different assignments every week. Then I have my internship and it is keeping me very busy. I have to plan an enormous presentation, including a powerpoint, and present it to a board of staff members and professors at the end of the month. I haven't even had the time to start my presentation or the paperwork yet! The paperwork has to be approximately 25-30 pages. Lastly, and here is what I am mad about, my fourth class. In January, February, and March, I've only had eight assignments total. Now my professor is realizing that he doesn't have enough work in our gradebook. That led him to give us eight assignments in the next three weeks. Five of them are presentations! The last time I counted, which was sometime yesterday, I had over thirty assignments to do in just under three weeks. Sorry for the rant, but it's safe to say that I won't be having a social life for the next month. This is why I do not like April!

I think we all know what I will be spending my weekend doing! Does anyone have anything fun planned? At least the weather seems to be improving - hopefully we're all done with winter and onto some warmer weather! I feel like I've had 6-7 months of winter here!

Oh my, you guys are alot stronger than me with those kind of movies, I'm a big wimp and shudder to think even watching any of those kind of movies. I'd have nightmares for weeks....:scarykitty: (I'm a tough guy on the outside but a big soft marshmallow on the inside)! lol

"Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" is about my speed for scary movies.

If you ever get nostalgic for the intermission stuff they showed between movies, you can get videos here. (Caution: Some of the website is NSFW.) I haven't looked, but there are probably some on YouTube, too.

Good morning, MMC!!

Happy Friday!!!

What are your weekend plans?

We don't have too many- just want to be outside as much as possible, as the weather allows. We plan to grill out, and go see the Evil Dead remake...Adrian is very excited!

Have a wonderful day!!! :)

Enjoy your weekend! I have to work all weekend, so DH - he has to teach and then at night, he is working at the fire department, so my kids are going to my in-laws, so I won't get to see them until Sunday evening. :( It makes me sad, but I appreciate that they are helping us out!

I'll have to look around the site...thanks for the link. But question...how NSFW are we talking? (If you can say without working too "blue" on the MMC forums ). Thanks!

I'm with you on that...although I really enjoy some of the old Universal Monsters. I also love the old Hammer horror films from the '60s. For their day they were shocking, but today they show worse on network tv in primetime!

I hope work goes well this weekend, sugar. I'm sure you will miss the kids, and vice versa! That is very sweet for your in- laws to help you guys out, but I'm sure they also love having the grandkids there with them!! =]

I will miss them a ton and I know they will miss me, but they will love being at my in-laws, as you said, my in-laws will love having them. They love trips to their grandparents. Who doesn't?

Exploitation films and burlesque films of varying strengths. I don't know if they actually show images or videos on their website, but just in case. I wouldn't let a youngster browse for videos there. (Just to clarify---we don't collect/watch those kinds of films! Just the "intermission" collections.)

We got several of the "intermission reels" on VHS years ago, and they're fun. (Shrimp rolls, anyone? Juicy hot dogs and crunch popcorn? Or PIC to keep the mosquitoes away? And what to do if you drive away without replacing your speaker ...) We should "upgrade" to the DVDs.
