We've been watching the local news coverage---parts of Watertown and Boston look like New Year's Eve. Incredible outpourings of relief and gratitude to the police. Everybody can sleep tonight.

So pleased to see the bomber has been catch
America gave the brothers a great opportunity and this is how they are repaid.
Relief for all that the man is now unable to cause further harm.But the trauma of the past week will go on for those bereaved and injured
If he dies the victims will never get closure. He needs to stay alive and maybe questions will be answered. He may of course exercise his right to stay silent as he is an American citizen but lets hope he is eager to tell the world how wonderful his cause was . even though he will be the only one thinking it !
Think the police and law enforcement did a great job and also the people of Boston and Watertown.
Now at least they can sleep in there beds at night
 
I got up and checked on the Boston bomber´s status....and am so glad and reliefed they got him!!! The background will be interessting to find out.....of course I´d prefer that nothing ever happened...but I want to know more of the motives...if they were alone, or operated within a group

Days to Christmas Day: 249
ONE WEEK from today -- the 200-day Season Window!
LESS than a week -- the 1/3 Christmas Day Milestone.
Proceeding apace, I would say!

Wild evening yesterday!
Lots of rain and heavy wind.
Limbs down.
Pine cones everywhere.
Plenty of raking to do.
(But no damage. That's the main thing.)
Should be calmer today, but cooler.
We stand at 49 degrees right now here in the capital city.

Good morning! It's raining here right now but it is supposed to taper off soon. I'm going to wait until it stops and then go for my morning walk. I will start some chores after I finish my coffee and then make a grocery list. I must go food shopping today. Not too much else going on. Maybe I'll ask my parents to come over to visit. I usually pop in over at their house so they don't have to drive. But they want to see the progress my husband is making with all of the work he has been doing in the house. I hope everyone has a very happy Saturday!

Snowing here too, I guess I will not be out raking today after all.

I am going to do some housework, laundry, take Harlowe for some walks, and review some of my course book.

Later on, we are going to grill some steaks & watch this week's Bates Motel.
