I've been out all morning at the awards ceremony at school. Jacob's awards were at night for the upper school, and lower school awards were this morning. Elizabeth got the honor roll trophy, the subject award for spelling, the certificate of national fitness, and the 6th grade Citizenship Award! We were so proud of her!

I never learned to like iced tea ... but if I did, I'd probably get a gizmo like that. It's never too late. I never liked hot tea until a couple years ago.

Today things are looking brighter. I got some unexpected GOOD news today concerning the same matter that threw me into the blues earlier this week, when I received bad news. You folks must have been praying with me!

Good afternoon!
Alarm guys still here. Sigh. This is turning in to an all day thing. My husband said it would only be a little while. Grrr. My daughter has a doctor appointment soon. I won't be able to leave the house if they are still working. Hoping one of her older sisters will be able to drive her.
I forgot to mention earlier that the ducks were back this morning. I wonder if its going to become a habit for them to make a pit stop in my pool every day. We'll see tomorrow.

We're taking the kids to school this morning as the schools will be open for two hours to allow the kids to say goodbye to their friends and teachers. Not sure what next school year holds for many since so many schools were damaged in the district.

Well, we're one day closer to Friday, and for those of us in the U.S., a three day weekend with Memorial Day!!!

I cheated with the pumpkin ones, and they were delicious. Totally tasted like homemade and so easy to do!!! I will have to try the gingerbread ones.

You could make it without the ice! Or you could just heat up a cup at a time from the pitcher in the microwave. I wanted a cup of hot cider but could not find my K-cups, so I just made a K-cup of Celestial Season mandarin orange herbal spiced tea. It is very fally here! By the way, what did you drink before you began liking hot tea? Another by the way, I just began using a new (to me) moisturizer: Avojuice hand and body lotion in sweet tea scent. I put some on my face after a shower right after I bought it and cannot believe how soft my skin was, even hours later. I went back to where I get my nails done and bought some more. I have used it alone and under makeup and would recommend it to anyone.

I forgot to tell you we got our gizmo at Wal-Mart for $10 or $15. We have had it for at least three years, and it works great.

I sure hope the alarm guys get finished soon or that someone will be able to drive your daughter to her appointment. The ducks: they sound so cute! I wonder where they came from (and don't say, "Eggs," Made), LOL!
