So funny, xmas :-D
I know we will. We'll be spending time with one of our favorite movie stars (Gloria Jean) and spoiling her rotten! It's a treat to be able to share some good times with someone who has brought us so much silver-screen pleasure.
He doesn't spend much time in the Countdown. Drop him a PM, or direct a post to him in the Merry Christmas Radio forum.
And with this post, HomemakinGirl is poster #22,000. For her efforts, she receives a membership at Ducks Unlimited!!! Yeah!!! http://www.ducks.org/ LOL!
Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!
I did some running around town yesterday afternoon, then I spent the twilight part of the evening setting up and watching the radar speed detector here in Bellville. I'm such a Barney Fife. Nothing tickles me more than watching people hit the brakes when they realize they're doing 63 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
"I got a star on my car and one on my chest
A gun on my hip and the right to arrest
I'm a guy who's the boss on this highway
So watch out what you're doin' when you're drivin' my way
If you break the law, you'll hear from me, I know
I'm workin' for the state, I'm the highway patrol"
Ok, my badge is honorary, but it's still shiny!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
That's great that you are able to spend time with her. Your book, by the way, is on my summer reading list! I need to watch some of her movies, too.

Happy Friday all.
Bear didn't come back last night but I killed my first copperhead of the year. Saw him in our driveway about dusk. I leave black snakes alone but I kill copperheads and rattlesnakes.
This Sunday is decoration Sunday for our family so I will be headed into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to our old family graveyard. (Decoration is a once a year event when everyone goes to place flowers on family graves). The park service took my great Grandfathers (along with lots of others) land in 1943 for the national park. All my family that died prior to 1943 are buried there. The oldest grave is 1811. Once a year the park service takes families across Fontana Lake back to old family graveyards. There are over 50 graveyards in the park. They go to a different graveyard each Sunday during the summer. Ours is always the first Sunday in June. There are 41 graves at our site and I'm related to 38 of them. My mother is no longer able to go so I go to place flowers on mom's sister's grave along with my great grandparents, etc. I've only missed going a couple of years in my life. Except for the graveyard and whats left of rock home foundations, all signs of civilization are gone. It is neat to go back into the wilderness to the ruins of the home my mom, grandparents, and great grandparents were born in.
The longest workday of the year ... the last workday before vacation begins. They may be moving our desks to another part of the floor while I'm gone, so I have to pack things up before I go. (That'll guarantee that they WON'T move while I'm gone, so I'll have to unpack everything when I get back, and pack it again when we actually move.)
I hear you...about the longest day. We leave for vacation Monday, but of course my official vacation will start today at 5:00 central time! I have a feeling this day, until then, will drag on and on.
Hope you have fun on your trip!

I will be on my way to Chico in a few minutes to get the infusion. I will be so glad hopefully to get some energy back. TTYL
That's a neat tradition! My family members are buried each in the own church cemeteries. We don't have a family cemetery, but Nancy's dad's family has a very large one.Happy Friday all.

Dang, darn, dang, darn, darn, dang! Sorry to use such harsh language, but just read the latest status report on our weather. All the conditions exist for more slow moving tornadoes tonight. So, where should I move? Any of ya'll have states you love and highly recommend?
I love my home but this is getting old, to say the least!
