I have been pulling some screen shots to use as Halloween backgrounds from say "It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown" as well, and I also downloaded a bunch that were free from Microsoft as well. I could try to send them to you if you wish, If you want, pm my your email address I'll send them to you.:-D

It's Wednesday...blah, blah, blah...don't want to go. (you all know the drill by now.) cheesy
Watching "Most Christmasy Places In America" now, every time I watch this, it makes me really want to visit the National Christmas Center in Paradise, PA. That place is right up my alley. Boy, am I on a Christmas show/movie kick lately. I have another hour or so before I have to go, but I have plenty to do.

Dude, you make me wish all the time that my brother lived close. He lives 5 hours away. Makes me sad....my uncle lives 10 hours away and he almost doesn't feel like family....I guess because we only see each other every four or five years. I want my brother to be involved in my daughter's life. Guess he is jsut going to have to move home....

My son is standing here talking to me and saw this picture over my shoulder. He started laughing and was wondering who went to Action Park. He said lots of injuries took place on that slide. I had to look it up on Wikipedia, wow, dangerous to say the least! I think that is why it was given to The Pines for us Crazy Christmas People!

I love adventurous rides of all kinds, I think I will pass on this one!!! :lol: I wonder if Carl will ride it???

Judesmama, I think I was the only mom in my neighborhood that wanted my kids with me all summer. The rest of the moms complained on the first day of summer that they wished their kids were back in school! lol... Not me!!!! Sure, my kids got nutty sometimes, not perfect and I needed a little break but not too long of one!

Also, that line from, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, "mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again". Not me on that either! Christmas vacation was not long enough, I didn't want them to go back!

Now that I am a grandmother I do enjoy my time when the kids go home. I raised my kids and now it's "me time"! Babysitting is perfect, borrow the kids, have fun and send them home. Not sure I would be physically able to raise kids. Get too tired easily.

Speaking of kids, my grandchildren and I are going to find something to do!

"unsafe rides; under aged, under trained, and often under the influence staff"

That's not how you want an amusement park to be described!

Thank you! His funeral is going on right now. Makes me sad. I had the picture developed in an 8 x 10 (per my neighbors request) & wow did it turn out awesome. So glad they will have that pic of the 3 of them!

Missed all of You guys.....My apartment was one of the few that have been flloded in my hometown.....Compared to the East and South of Germany...our flood was nothing....still I had to throw away the big wardrobe in the bedroom and four other cupboards....and it seems we got to throw away the big one in the living room as well.......im trying to see it positive....that way i get rid off a lot of junk, too.....

We got back home around 7:30 p.m. I'm giddy in the head from the long plane trips and not much sleep or meals during the travel home. We dropped our suitcases and ordered a pizza for delivery. Lots of chores at home tomorrow, then back to work Thursday.

The grandkids are doing well! Thanks for asking!

Wayne and I have a cruise planned this fall. I am not sure what we are thinking by taking a cruise during the fall to warmer climates. After suffering long hot summers here I cannot wait for fall but then we get on a boat and head south! That is what we did last time we cruised. The rates are great at that time so that is one reason why we do it then. Regardless, we are looking forward to it!!!

How fun to have a cruise to look forward too!!!!

I forgot to mention but I have the movie, Snowglobe, on DVD. I thought my, almost 4 year old, granddaughter might like the scenes when she steps inside the Snowglobe. Well, actually she LOVES the whole entire movie and ask to watch it all the time. I keep 3 Christmas snow globes out all year and she will ask to hold one while she watches the movie.

She was watching the movie one day and asked about the pregnant lady in the movie if that was a baby in her tummy. I told her it is. Then later in the movie she said, "grandma, that lady has a different shirt on". I agreed with her that she does, then she said, "who held the baby when she changed her shirt"? I guess she thinks the baby just sits under your shirt for 9 months!!! That little girl keeps Wayne and I laughing all the time!!!

This cracked me up!!!!!!! Too darn funny!!!! :lol:

Good morning! Happy Pines Day!! Not much going on around here today. It's going to be a hot one! And strong storms later they say! A guy from our town here is a storm chaser - he has posted on his FB page today that we could possibly have 100 MPH winds! WHAT??? I hope he's wrong!!! They are saying the worst of the storms are supposed to come overnight! Ugh!! I better go & be safe at the pines - I'll sleep in the slide!!! HA!

Okay, I am dying of laughter now! I think that describes all of us at The Pines perfectly! What is Carl putting in our drinks??? No wonder we have that slide now!!!
