Where in NC will your son be?

Oh, thank you ♥
I missed you too!!

How are you?

So busy here. Only 10 days to SUMMER BREAK! (2 months summer vacation)

In July we are sending our oldest to North Carolina for a hole year!
And so much paperwork to do now for his VISA
Have to visit the American ambassady in Oslo ASAP

And we are house hunting!
A bit depressed because there's not much to choose from around here..
We want to live in the city centre, but it hopeless because we need such a big place (with all our kids)

Well, I hope everything works out...... ♥

Thinking of you and Kandice and Stripey, too!!! Take care!

Im Back!!!... Missed all of You guys.....My apartment was one of the few that have been flloded in my hometown.....Compared to the East and South of Germany...our flood was nothing....still I had to throw away the big wardrobe in the bedroom and four other cupboards....and it seems we got to throw away the big one in the living room as well.......im trying to see it positive....that way i get rid off a lot of junk, too.....
Love and missed you guys

These are the stories I LOVE to hear! Thanks so much for sharing your grandkids with us!

I forgot to mention but I have the movie, Snowglobe, on DVD. I thought my, almost 4 year old, granddaughter might like the scenes when she steps inside the Snowglobe. Well, actually she LOVES the whole entire movie and ask to watch it all the time. I keep 3 Christmas snow globes out all year and she will ask to hold one while she watches the movie.

She was watching the movie one day and asked about the pregnant lady in the movie if that was a baby in her tummy. I told her it is. Then later in the movie she said, "grandma, that lady has a different shirt on". I agreed with her that she does, then she said, "who held the baby when she changed her shirt"? I guess she thinks the baby just sits under your shirt for 9 months!!! That little girl keeps Wayne and I laughing all the time!!!

Good afternoon, all! We're enjoying our sunshine while we can, because we're supposed to have storms tomorrow. I love a good thunderstorm too, but I was hoping to go shopping with Mom tomorrow. Don't want Mom out in the rain!

Dude, you make me wish all the time that my brother lived close. He lives 5 hours away. Makes me sad....my uncle lives 10 hours away and he almost doesn't feel like family....I guess because we only see each other every four or five years. I want my brother to be involved in my daughter's life. Guess he is jsut going to have to move home....

I have it both ways friend. I've got my sister and 2 niece's here that I see all the time. Then I've got my other Sister and her family in Seattle that I've only seen 2 times in the last 10 years. We talk everyday though and we try to skype at least a couple of times a month.

I always loved "camping out" when I was a kid and then after I had kids of my own. Like you said, the kids would be asleep before the first movie ended, LOL!!! Can we all come over?

So nice to be able to post a few times on here but in about 10 minutes I will have my 3 grandchildren here. Going to be busy! We will have to go outside early to play because by the time it gets near noon we have to shut ourselves inside, way too hot! We might take the bikes out today.

I was reminiscing last night of the summers past with my kids. I absolutely LOVED my kids being out for the summer and felt sad when they had to go back to school. We had so much fun!!! I would babysit kids all summer and we had a blast all summer long. It was a lot of work but we did so much! Traveling, swimming, Chuck E. Cheese, trips downtown on the Dart Light Rail and more.

I would sometimes keep the kids I babysat overnight and have a camp out. I would tell them we can "stay up all night long" and watch movies. We would all gather in the living room with our sleeping bags for the big night, have a few snacks then had to lay down, no getting up and running around. They thought they were up "all night" but in reality, they were out during the first hour of the movie. They just thought that was so cool to tell their parents they were up all night! The parents got a kick out of that. :D

My daughter, son and I talk about this a lot. Now I get to have this fun with my grandchildren. It's still hard work and I get tired no matter what but we make it as fun as possible. I need more breaks more than I use to need. Hard keeping up with the kids! I need their energy! =)

Don't forget to take "first-day-of-school" pictures each new school year!!! I also have another suggestion that I saw in one of my scrapbooking books: Take several shots of the kids together and then several years later take a picture of the kids in the same pose to show how they have changed. For example, take a pic of them playing hide and seek near a tree with one of the kids hiding his eyes and the other standing beside him, ready to go hide. Several years later, do the same thing. You can also get out a pic of yourself when you were little and then take a pic of the boys in that same pose. They will thank you later!

C-a-H, this is Jude's last year home... he starts kindergarten in the fall and I am so sad! I have so much fun with my kids.. I wish I could keep them at home with me forever!!! Thankfully kindergarten is only 3 hours here so we will have afternoons.. but boy, will I miss my biggest baby!

If you have an iPad, be sure to take it with you and sneak looks at it every chance you get!!!

Another kink in my QVC CiJ plans.. just got a bday party invite for the 20th... at 3pm... right in the middle of my Christmas watching! Ugh!! It sounds bad but I hope our friends leave early on Sunday so I can just wear my Christmas jammies and hunker down with the hubby and kids and QVC!!

Xmas Tidings, I will PM you, too, if you don't mind!

I have been pulling some screen shots to use as Halloween backgrounds from say "It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown" as well, and I also downloaded a bunch that were free from Microsoft as well. I could try to send them to you if you wish, If you want, pm my your email address I'll send them to you.:-D

Well it looks like the heating elment is out on my sister's water heater. It's only 3 years old though. So I told her she needs to call and see what the warranty is on it before she goes out and buys a new element.

It is so funny about that line from "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." My mom liked having us home, and I loved it when my kids were out of school. We always had a good time together. I really miss it, LOL!!!

Judesmama, I think I was the only mom in my neighborhood that wanted my kids with me all summer. The rest of the moms complained on the first day of summer that they wished their kids were back in school! lol... Not me!!!! Sure, my kids got nutty sometimes, not perfect and I needed a little break but not too long of one!

Also, that line from, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, "mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again". Not me on that either! Christmas vacation was not long enough, I didn't want them to go back!

Now that I am a grandmother I do enjoy my time when the kids go home. I raised my kids and now it's "me time"! Babysitting is perfect, borrow the kids, have fun and send them home. Not sure I would be physically able to raise kids. Get too tired easily.

Speaking of kids, my grandchildren and I are going to find something to do!

Have a Merry Day my Christmas Friends!
