Good evening!
As I said, I worked today. Had an interesting encounter with one couple. They informed me that they were never coming back again because a cashier stuck out her tongue at them. I said "one of our cashiers?!" Yes , the little dark one over there. I was shocked and told them that she would never do such a thing. (plus had a ring of prejudice to it since this lady is of Mexican decent) Well she did they said, just because we complained about having to pay for a cart! (you put in a coin and get it back when you return the cart, this is to insure the carts stay on the property) I told them again she would never do that but they were instant. So I offered to get the manager but they did not want to talk to her. They left saying again they would never come back here to shop. Of course they live an hour away so chances are they would never come here again anyway.
Talked to cashier that was accused of this vile act and her jaw hit the ground. Turns out this couple was complaining since the moment they walked through the door. No one was sad to hear they would not return.

That is so wrong :/
Some people can be so hateful.
Good for you for standing up for your co-workers character! I'm sure she appreciated that.

Like Snoflake said. Good for you!!!! The fact that they didn't want to talk the manager is a sure sign that they were making it all up.

Here's what worked for Mr.'s dog years ago: Roll the pill up in a pellet of cheese. She wolfed 'em right down as treats.

That's funny MerryCarey, I did try the cheese. I bought liverwurst for her too, lol. The problem is sometimes she takes it and sometimes she turns her nose up at me. She's just not a big eater and very finicky!

Good morning, friends!!

How are you today?

Hope you all stay cool with the heat & humidity. We are having a bit of a reprieve today, with a high of 73 degrees. It's partly cloudy & there's a nice breeze, so we turned the AC off & opened the house up.

I had a fun weekend at my parents house, and spent a lot of quality time with Dad for Fathers's Day. Love being able to drive home so easily!! And with such a beautiful drive-my most favorite one.

Seawaters, I finally got some photos of Mom wearing the Yorkie/Jazzie necklace I had made for her for Mother's Day! She loves it!!

I love the necklace Snowflake, it's so pretty and unique. Your mom looks so happy and beautiful!

Harlowe loves looking out my parents bay window!! So does Jazzie. They team up when we're there, and get into mischief ;) They were both scared of something on Saturday night before bed, and we couldn't figure out what. When I laid down to go to sleep, I figured it out. Someone was letting off fireworks nearby. Harlowe wanted to jump down off the bed, away from the window. She scratched to get out of the bedroom, so I opened up the door for her. She nudged open the door to my parents bedroom, and went in there for comfort. They slept through it, but Jazzie didn't! She was hiding under the bed =] They played for a bit in the living room, got frightened again, then they both came and wanted to get into bed with me! It was quite an interesting night. Anyways, here's a cute pic of a curious Harlowe looking out the window!

My Mom is always working on a quilt or some sort of craft project. Right now, she's doing a Christmasy one! She has been going to Estate sales, and purchasing vintage Christmas ornaments to make a wreath. She has found some amazing ones!! And got such good deals!!

The ornaments are beautiful, I would love to see the wreath when she is finished.

Good morning,

It is a nice sunny day here, so far, I have been busy cleaning up and started the chicken for dinner. My whole chicken in a crockpot recipe!!!! I also have my snickerdoodle dough chilling in the fridge. We will be eating well tonight!!!

I am going to JP's school for a little program at noon, he is so excited I am going because it always seems I am working when these things go on.

I hope you all are having a good day.

I love my crockpot! I never made a whole chicken in it, sounds yummy.

Two things that might help with the pills: There is a product (Pill Pockets) that is tasty to animals and is used primarily to "hide" the pills. We used them for a while on our cat. Now we crush the pill with the back of a spoon until the pill is a fine powder. Then we mix that with a little of the cat food; then we stir that into the remainder of the cat food. By the way, we use canned cat food, the kind that is "soft," meaty-looking.

Thanks Seawaters, I will have to look in to the pill pockets. If they have tiny ones I will give them a try.

We have to take our cat to the vet this afternoon. She has been eating a lot and still "cries" for food. Also, she is not gaining any weight even with the extra food we have been giving her. She was diagnosed with a thyroid problem several years ago and was put on pills, so we shall see what is wrong this time--hopefully nothing serious! Keep us posted on Maggie.

I will keep your kitty cat in my prayers. I hope the vet appointment goes well.

Thank you, HmG!!

We are waiting for our contractor to get back from vacation so he can show us the plans he came up with for our kitchen! I'm kind of dreading it - the packing up & finding a place for stuff during construction!! Hope your's turns out well!!!

Hubby is doing all his own work. We are lucky that he knows how to do it. I help with a tiny bit, like holding and helping pull wires, holding the sledge hammer, and a few other minor things. Not looking forward to the mess, but do look forward to the end product!

That's so exciting that you are both planning new kitchens. Ours is still under construction. My husband is doing all of the work himself and it is going very slow. I know he is doing the best that he can and it will be worth it when it's finished. But I did tell him that it needs to be done before the holidays!!!

sounds like a fun time! and a busy time, enjoy

Thanks Christmasstar. We never got to go shopping today. The girls decided to have manicures and pedicures. I'm happy they got that over with today. The nail salon was so crowded and there was a long wait. I could only imagine how crowded it will be tomorrow (prom is on Thursday). So we will go shopping tomorrow!

Goodnight Everyone!!!!
