Good Morning.

OK, enough is enough.
Carl started calling early this morning asking what day it is.
That commercial has really gone to his head......or should I say humps?

Setting that aside as best we can, we'll focus on this:
Days to the Season: 147
Days to Christmas Day: 189
One week to go, Folks.
One week until the half way point to Christmas Day 2013.
Good Golly Gee!

Rain yesterday evening, hard at times, but nothing severe here in Wake county.
Should be drier today with lower humidity.
We show 67 degrees here at this hour.

OK, OK, it's Hump Day already!.
Come one -- come all -- to the Shispering Pines to watch our friend Carl ham it up.
What will be this evening's theme?
Hard to say.
That camel keeps us guessing all the time.
(But otherwise, it would be less fun, right?)

Anyway, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

Good evening!
As I said, I worked today. Had an interesting encounter with one couple. They informed me that they were never coming back again because a cashier stuck out her tongue at them. I said "one of our cashiers?!" Yes , the little dark one over there. I was shocked and told them that she would never do such a thing. (plus had a ring of prejudice to it since this lady is of Mexican decent) Well she did they said, just because we complained about having to pay for a cart! (you put in a coin and get it back when you return the cart, this is to insure the carts stay on the property) I told them again she would never do that but they were instant. So I offered to get the manager but they did not want to talk to her. They left saying again they would never come back here to shop. Of course they live an hour away so chances are they would never come here again anyway.
Talked to cashier that was accused of this vile act and her jaw hit the ground. Turns out this couple was complaining since the moment they walked through the door. No one was sad to hear they would not return.

That was a very kind thing to do, your co-workers are lucky to have you. I hope those people never ever come back!

Howdy! I have not been on since Friday. Busy and tired, tired and busy! My daughter brought over a basket of goodies from a garage sale the other day with a Santa Claus in it and a few other decorations. That made my day!

I haven't been able to read anything but just wanted to say hi to everyone. My grandchildren will be here shortly so I better run.

I hope you all have a merry day!!!

Good morning!
Just got back from my morning walk. It's nice and cool outside right now. Great walking weather.
My daughter will be taking her last exam today, we are both happy about that. We will be going shopping at the mall later this afternoon. Other than that I have some chores to do and a couple of quick errands.
Prom is tomorrow!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Good morning everyone. We are dog/house sitting for my in-laws, so I was surrounded by fur babies last night! There were our two, Happy and Holly. Then, Haley (a sweet bichon frise) and Harley (a grumpy Maltese). When I left this morning my wife was still in bed with Happy beside her, his head on one shoulder, Holly laying up next to her on the other shoulder, and Haley and Harley on either side, too. Spoiled dogs!
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Good morning, MMC!

It is another beautiful day out today. Palmer and I were up until almost 2:30 this morning. I feel quite refreshed and she is sitting in the window watching/ducking whenever a plane flies overhead. There is a community airport a town away and my area is in their teaching flight path. Noisy, but a good wake-up call! cheesy

Have a beautiful and MERRY day!!!

This is SO fishy ... why would they complain to another cashier, instead of the management? They just like to stir up a fuss. Seeing a manager to resolve it would spoil their fun. I hope they stick to their word and don't come in again.

The sun is back. Supposedly no thunderstorms today---that's good news!

We're supposed to be moved to a different part of the office building next week (the other end of the floor). I'm going to miss my windowsill, where I put my little barn, unless they put me next to another window. I'm a stick-in-the-mud who doesn't like to move when I'm content where I am, but management is remodeling, and I don't have any say in this! I'll also miss my spring/fall sunbeam, which falls across my desk in the late morning when the seasons change.

Good morning,

It's Wednesday, you all know the rest.

On the good note, when I get home from work the Bruins will be on. I am trying to keep my excitement low, since it seems like most of the talking heads are saying the Bruins will win the Cup with the way they dominated the last game. They still have 2 games to win and anything can happen.
I am hoping for an easy night at work tonight.

Good morning!! Happy Pines Day!! For us, it's Happy 1st Pre-Fest Party Day!! Tonight we brown 25 lb of burger & chop 20 lb of onion for our chili party. Snacks & drinks at our house...come on over on your way to or home from the pines!!!

Hubby is doing all his own work. We are lucky that he knows how to do it. I help with a tiny bit, like holding and helping pull wires, holding the sledge hammer, and a few other minor things. Not looking forward to the mess, but do look forward to the end product!

WOW! it would take forever - years - if hubby did our cabinets!! Lol! He doesn't get home from work until 8:00 most nights the way it is!! Lucky you!!! I'm sure it will be beautiful!!! You will have to post pictures!

We have to take our cat to the vet this afternoon. She has been eating a lot and still "cries" for food. Also, she is not gaining any weight even with the extra food we have been giving her. She was diagnosed with a thyroid problem several years ago and was put on pills, so we shall see what is wrong this time--hopefully nothing serious! Keep us posted on Maggie.

I hope the vet appt. went well?

It is gorgeous here, too. I didn't feel like cleaning when I got home, either. Got a bit done, but so much more to do yet. At least the windows are wide open. It is actually going to get down to around 42 tonight. This is June weather?! Love it!! I hope the rest of your week is as beautiful as today was and that you get to be out and about enjoying life!!!

42?? Brrr!! It was 53 this morning for my walk & Brrrrrr!!! I did get a lot of cleaning/organizing done last night, but as always - there is more to do...

Good evening, MMC!

The sun is shining brightly and I have almost every light on in the house. Yes, a bit nervous here yet. I got home too late to make any calls. My brother is going to set a trap up there when he has the time, though, so that is good news. He recently was called back to his job and is trying to adjust to his late shift so it might be a while. As long as I don't see it down here, all will be well! I had poor Palmer up until 2 this morning. She stayed up as long as I was up and didn't settle down until just before I went to bed. Her busy day yesterday is catching up to her today - she has been snoozing in the sunbeam for the past hour - sitting up. lol Last night I discovered that the local college radio station plays jazz and blues from 11 until 5 in the morning. Love it! I set my stereo to snooze and fell asleep listening to classical jazz from the 50s/60s. So nice!!!

Be safe and MERRY!!!

I hope your brother can get there & catch it - FAST!! You poor thing!!! I would be sleeping with all lights on!!! Lol! Nice find on the jazz music!

Yes!! Be ready to get your butt kicked by a girl!

It takes all kinds! Good for you!!!!

That's so exciting that you are both planning new kitchens. Ours is still under construction. My husband is doing all of the work himself and it is going very slow. I know he is doing the best that he can and it will be worth it when it's finished. But I did tell him that it needs to be done before the holidays!!!

You are lucky one too, having your hubby do it! You wil have to post pics when it's done too!!

You're in for a treat, here is the link to the recipe. http://mymerrychristmas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27224

The meat just falls of the bone, it is the only way I will cook a whole chicken now. I want to try a turkey breast that way sometime.

I need to make this again. I made it once & it was very, very good!!!

I was freezin on my morning walk! I didn't even look at ther thermometer before I went out in shorts & a T! I was so cold by the time I got home my right arm was almost numb - I could hardly blow my nose - my hand didn't want to work to grab a tissue! LOL!!! I took an airborne after - I don't want to get a cold or sick this weekend before the festival!!! It would have been an awesome walk if I had a long sleeve T! I'm glad you enjoyed your walk!!!
