Hello everyone!
I'm about to go out and run some errands. I should have been out of here already but I woke up with a headache and I am moving slow. I have to pick up Maggie's meds at the vet, go to Hallmark and the mall for a card and gift and then the supermarket. Wish I didn't have to do anything, lol. It's another hazy, hot and humid day. We may get a thunderstorm later. Hope everyone is staying cool today!

My new location at the office---sorry it's so dark! The flash was on, but it didn't help. (The desk lamp and camp lantern are there because the overhead lighting hasn't been installed yet.) Even though it's an overcast day, there's a nice amount of natural light. The building was a clock and watch factory built in the 1880s to take advantage of daylight.

It looks nice and I love the idea that it was built in the 1880's and it's still standing today...That's cool!

Well, the job interview situation has been resolved. I have the time off this afternoon and I am excited about it. We'll see if it turns out alright.

Glad to hear that you got it worked out!! Now Good Luck on the interview!!!!!

At least you have something to look at . do the windows not open ?
Hope you get the lighting sorted soon, ~}

No, the windows don't open. We're cooled by air conditioning. (Too much for my taste, sometimes!)

What a lovely area, love the windows! Think of all the things you can attach to them for Christmas

I am thinking of it!

Good morning everyone. I hope you all are having a great day so far.

MerryCarey-the new office looks great! I love older buildings.

Well, the job interview situation has been resolved. I have the time off this afternoon and I am excited about it. We'll see if it turns out alright.

Have a good Tuesday!

I love it ... I REALLY love the original brick walls! Even the iNTERIOR walls are the original brick. The building has a lot of personality. It was a clock factory until about 1999, when the company folded and the building was sold. The new owner built another building connected to the original building. Our agency uses both the old and new spaces, but I'm lucky enough to be on the "brick side."

Ryan, best wishes and good luck on the job interview. I'm glad you were able to clear the time so there's no fuss.

Goodluck with your interview ~}

FYI; Yay, I solved the MMC and Internet problem with using Internet explorer!!!!

I was able to resolve the problem with the MMC website using Internet Explorer. Even though my computer had the box selected for automatic windows updates, it (Microsoft) did not automatically download and install the service pack 1 for windows 7 which therefore would not allow for an automatic update of windows Internet Explorer.
Once I did this "Important" update, the computer re-booted and everything worked fine....
The whole process took me about 2 hours to do~ I'm so happy, so very happy!:dance:

Glad you have it all sorted. happy days :notice:

Snowflake, and all other Halloween lovers, I need some advice.
I’m going to revise my Halloween countdown for my iPhone. I want to try my hand at designing a good Halloween pic (I will add elements and effects through Photoshop). I took this picture last night (a few color enhancements have been added) of an old house I came across. But, I don’t think it is sufficiently creep enough. What do y’all think? Keep in mind, the “scary” stuff will be added later, but as the base photo, this one just doesn’t have the creepy haunted house vibe I’m going for.

I love it when an Architect keeps the origional look of the inside of an old building, it sort of keeps the "personality" of it and it's history..."if only the walls could talk, what stories might it tell..."

Oh, it has possibilities.

If you really want a "haunted house" look, just go to Google Images and type in "haunted house".

I often wonder if the people who worked in the factory a hundred years ago were happy or unhappy working here.

I like it as a workplace, except when the air conditioning is running steadily! The HVAC vents blow too hard and too cold to suit me.

Thanks Crown!

I like the overgrown look of the grass and bushes, but it looks more like "haunted garage apartment" rather than haunted house...to me, anyway.

Yeah, it's good but it's not great!!!
