Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I have to leave work early today and tomorrow to take Elizabeth to ballet practice and play practice. I'm using a couple hours of vacation time each day, but it's ok. I've maxed out on accrued vacation time, so I'm actually not earning anymore until I use some of what I have banked. I plan to burn a week in early August with a trip to my beloved Smoky Mountains, too!

It looks like rain again. We could use a couple dry days, but I hate to complain about the rain. We went so long a couple years ago without any, it's hard to complain now.

Last night was pretty long night poor little girl Harper was sick all night so she just tossed and turned and coughed all night long.

Sweet! I wish we had a Costco here. We only have Sam's Club, which I love...but would love Costco! I love to go to Sam's and eat the samples! :lol:

I've only been through the Smoky Mountains once, but wasn't able to stop. I would love to experience them! I ancestors from the region with quite a few buried out that way. One day I want to make it out there!

Costco is usually one of the earliest to get stuff out. I know from reading a Halloween forum quite a few people have seen it at cocsoc in different states.

They seem a teenie bit slower here in the UK, which is disappointing as I want them to get going earlier!!:merry:

Good morning!
It is going to be hazy, hot and humid again today with a chance of thunderstorms. The local news keeps talking about the heatwave finally being over. I don't know, it is still too hot for me and way too uncomfortable outside. I tried to walk the dogs late last night and they started to pant so bad that I took turns carrying them again. People must think I'm crazy, lol. It's not even worth going, I need some cooler temperatures!!
My youngest isn't feeling well. I am going to make a doctor appointment today, not sure whats going on with her. She had an invitation to spend the week at a beach house with one of her girlfriends and the girls family. They left yesterday and she's disappointed that she didn't go. If the doctor says she is well enough and she feels good, I could still send her. I just have to put her on a ferry and they will be there waiting for her. So we'll see what happens.
Anyway, not too much going on for me today. I have a few phone calls to make and I also need to order books for my middle daughters nursing program. I must order them today because she has a summer packet to do and I want her to have a few weeks to pace herself and get the homework done.

Good Morning everyone hope all is well in everyone's households. Last night was pretty long night poor little girl Harper was sick all night so she just tossed and turned and coughed all night long. So every time she coughed i woke up and checked on her and would try setting her up a little higher on the pillow so it would help a little. Other than that it was a pretty good evening, saw lots of cool Halloween stuff last night,

Harper is in my thoughts & prayers!

I'm right there with you! I love Sam's. Their snack bar is pretty good, too, with great hot dogs and pizza. Plus, it's cheap, so you can't beat it.

An annual tradition for us is the Taste of Sam's that they do every year the weekend before Thanksgiving. Oh man it kicks off my favorite week of the year!

Yea I've gone to that a few times as well. If you have a Publix near you they do the same thing right before thanksgiving.

They do, but they do not sell anything on it.
The store is known for great deals, I think they buy the leftover merchandise when the "BIG" stores overbuy on stuff. It is usually pretty hard to shop because it is not the neatest store, but you can score some good deals.

Sounds like the Building 19 stores out where we are.

Good morning everyone! Thank you all for the laughs this morning. Just checking in before heading to bed.

I was to stay and work 12 hours today, but they decided they needed me more tonight and are probably going to have me come in at 7.

EA started a new classroom today. She started Pre-K. My kids are growing up too fast.

It may be the steroids I've been on because of the sinus infection, but my word I'm hungry! As in I could eat everything in sight hungry! I'm not sure what my problem is but I need to get it under control! :lol:
