Neat story about Cynthia Ann Parker. It was great to see the Duke on a big screen. Except for some of the old 'B" westerns, I have most of his movies. After "The Searchers", "Hondo", "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon", & "Rio Bravo" are my favorites.

Those are all great ones. I love "Hondo!" It's a lean, to-the-point kind of movie with plenty of action, a suspenseful plot, and no filler. For his later movies, I'm a fan of "Big Jake."

I have to admit...buttery, salty popcorn is a big downfall of mine!

Yes, no popcorn! I worked the popcorn wagon in college and the smell permeated my clothing and hair - I had to go from work right to class. It was horrible! The scent of popcorn still makes me cringe! I also worked in the pizza place in college, but that smell didn't bother me. I went from work straight to class, then, too, and my classmates always wanted pizza when class was over. cheesy

My wife and I finally made it to a Hallmark store last night, and I saw some ornaments I would love to have. First of all, this bad boy jumped out at me:


There was also a Father Christmas one that I loved but did not get a picture of. But then, I saw this:



Is it a Halloween themed ornament for a Christmas tree, or an ornament for a Halloween tree? Either way, I like it...but not sure if I could get away with it on the Christmas tree. What do y'all think?

I bought the Halloween one, it's first in a series So I thought that's a fun Halloween tradition to start!! I use a small tree of mine & put pumpkin lights & crows on it. Each year I'll add an ornament.

I say go for it!!

Sorry I didn't have time to quote more posts, but I am thinking of you all. Always am!

There is a lot that Adrian and I are trying to accomplish before he leaves on his next business trip, so today has been quite crazy!

We've been without Internet and phones, had modem issues, I haven't been feeling well, and Adrian has been extra busy at work but couldn't get things done because of the computer issues. Basically, it's just been one of those tough weeks so far. We'll survive, we always do!

I have a meeting with a broker tomorrow, so trying to prepare for that as well.

Hope all is well with you guys. Sending lots of hugs!!

I think it's back on track!! Praying

Seems good so far, just trying to send out test text messages and posting here and what not. Earlier today, I couldn't receive calls, make the calls, text, or receive texts.

That is now working! Yay!!

...when I have time, I'm going to need to fix all my settings, and my apps, notifications, etc.

It's really not as easy as they make it sound!

Verizon sends you to Apple, Apple sends you back to Verizon, etc. What is annoying is that they don't give you any references, instructions, they just expect you to figure things out.

I truly learned a lot from the Apple guy!

I like "Big Jake" also. I remember Wayne says "not hardly" throughout the movie. You will remember in "The Searchers", Wayne keeps saying 'that'll be the day". I read that after seeing "The Searchers", Buddy Holly wrote the song "That'll be the day".

Man, I can't wait!

Amie and I were talking about how each year that passes is one less Halloween we have with little ones. There will come a time (all too soon, I bet) where they won't be interested in trick-or-treating with their mom and dad. So, we're going to enjoy every year we have and when the day comes, we'll make new traditions.

That's an interesting fact about Buddy Holly. I need to rewatch "The Searchers" as it's been probably ten years since I've seen it.

I like how in "Big Jake" everyone keeps saying to him, "I thought you were dead."
