Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

Tonight is opening night for Elizabeth! She seemed a little nervous about it when I left for work this morning, but I'm sure she'll be wonderful. They're actually having an informal dance recital at 2:30 this afternoon to showcase what they learned during their week-long intensive dance camp. Then we have to be back at 5:00 to prepare for the 7:00 show. Busy, busy!

I plan to work till noon, then get ready for the festivities. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

How exciting!! Best of luck to your Elizabeth. I am sending her a virtual bouquet of flowers to celebrate her opening night! I am sure she will do you proud! I look forward to hearing how it went.

Good morning!
It is in the 60's again this morning but it is supposed to go up to around 80 degrees today. I am taking the dogs for a walk as soon as I finish my coffee.
I just threw dinner together in the crock pot, I'm making beef stew for tonight. I need to do a few things with my daughter today for her nursing program. I'm hoping she gets her car back today, it has been in for service the past couple of days. I have been driving her all over the place and we both want the car back!
I also have a few phone calls to make and I need to make a grocery list for next week. We have a graduation party tomorrow for my nephew and I need to pick up a card. I may go a little out of my way and drive to Hallmark, I would love to look at the ornaments again.
This afternoon I am getting a haircut and I have to make sure everyone has their outfits picked out for tomorrow. I don't even know what I'm wearing, so I need to do that too. Other than that daily chores.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day here wtih a high arond 80 degree's. Then the rain is going to come in overnight and cool it down even more. We are looking at the coolest 4 day stretch in july since 1946. I love it!!!!!! I'm just sad I'm not going to the race this weekend. It is going to be a perfect day for it!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

TGIF everyone. Like a lot of you, we are having good weather. It was 57 when I left for work this morning. The forecast high today is 78. I would prefer a high of 68 but I'm not complaining.

We finally get a weekend at home. Our Vacation Bible School ends Saturday with a cookout/party at the Church. We have averaged 60 kids a night this week. It's been a lot of work, especially for my wife, but fun.

Good evening, friends!!

I just got back from my meeting with a broker. It went very well!! I got a lot of information to think about, and the office was very nice. Everyone that I met was kind.

They offered me a job!

Now, I have a lot to mull over =]

I also plan on speaking with a few other brokers, but I have a feeling I'll go with the one I met today. They are a great company, and have a lot of incentives. And a wonderful training & mentoring program!!

Off to make dinner, I am famished!

I have ask, but has anyone had a cortisone shot before?

I had knee surgery in April and I have been still feeling some pain in it, especially when I do any kind of physical activity. So, I went back to the doc's yesterday, he gives me this shot in my knee joint, and I'm telling you, today I feel great!!!!

That was some good stuff, because it worked (at least for now). I also have to get a special brace made up for it that shifts the weight from the bad side of my knee, to the good side of it. So, I asked him, "what happens when that side wears out?" "When you get older, you'll most likely need a knee replacement! Oh by the way, "Welcome to middle age!"

I guess that was his bedside humor.....

I would be outside, making a bonfire in the pit, putting some wings, potato's and sausages on the stainless steel grate I had made for that and then I'd sit back, lookup at the stars and wonder; "what all the poor people are up to....." Yes indeedy, at that moment in life, I'm a rich man....

I just made my very first batch of sugar cookies! They were the kind you do not have to chill which was great. The recipe was on the cardboard surround of the brand new Wilton Christmas cookie pan I found at Goodwill the other day. I ate a couple so now I have to go for a walk. cheesy When I get back, I am going to watch a Christmas movie! Earlier I listened to some Christmas CDs: Michael Buble, The Vince Guraldi Trio's, and the compilation that has Baby, Please Come Home, Darlene Love's version of course!

I made cut out sugar cookies last night too! Most of them were Christmas, but I made a plate full of bells & hearts to bring to our neighbors - their son is getting married tomorrow, so they can bring the cookies to rehearsal or hall decorating! Took all darn night to cut out & icing them things!! :lol:

It was a pleasant surprise to step outside to temperatures in the 60's this morning. I have been so busy lately I didn't even know that was coming. I know its going to warm up again but I will enjoy it while I can.
I went to the doctor this morning and it turns out that the receptionist gave me some false information over the phone. She told me I had to come in to discuss multiple food allergies. But it was multiple environmental allergies. Some of the things on the list are dust, pollen, mold, different kinds of weeds, trees and grasses. Oh and cats and dogs too. And a few other animals that I don't have to worry about. I asked her to prescribe me an allergy pill. Maybe it will help to relieve some of my symptoms. I was very happy about not having food allergies because I am already on a gluten free diet and I didn't want to eliminate anything else!
Anyway, my daughter is starting to feel better. I have to call the doctor tomorrow to get some blood work results for her, hopefully all is well.

I hope the allergy meds help you feel better!! And well wishes for your daughter too!

Good Morning!! My son breaks up from school today for the summer. We are hoping the weather will keep up while we have a few things planned for next week. Can't wait for our trips out!

We are kicking off tonight with indoor camping. I have the fondue pot to substitute a real fire and the children's tent will go up in the middle of the living room. Fairy lights will create a starry night, nature sounds on the music player and many stuffed toy wild animals will adorn the campsite lol!

I've got some marsmallows, bananas , and shortbread for the fondue pot and burgers and curly fries for supper.

This morning I bought my first scented candle to put away for the holidays. It's called Frosted Pine and Twinkling Lights! It smells amazing!

Well I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am so sorry things have been so hectic that I am not able to comment on individual posts. I am always thinking of you all and wishing the best for each of you my friends.........

My next door neighbor keeps up with her monthly tradition of sending out her email on the 25th with the Countdown to Christmas. I always enjoy seeing that email but she said all her other friends grumble. She said her daughter and I are the only ones who like getting that email.

What a scrooge my co-worker is! :lol: So I walked out into the shop & brought him a Christmas cookie!! Lol!

I'm looking forward to going caroling tonight at the marina! Hee hee! Hopefully I will make it back from my SIL's appointment in time to partake in the activities!! Wedding tomorrow - no plans Sunday! Although my hubby says our sweet corn will probably be ready to come off about Sunday! Great! Just how I want to spend my Sunday - putting up corn. LOL! Ah well... It's worth it to pull that out of the freezer in the middle of winter!

Hello all. It's rainy and cooler today. Glad for the cool weather, and we'll always take the rain in July, but it is making for a very gloomy day.

We received some news today about a teaching position for my wife. The principal was all set to hire her, but due to the tornado related issues, they've had to put the hiring on hold. Not the news we were wanting, but it is what it is.

It has really been crazy busy around here. We have been doing some back to school things like meeting with academic advisors and ordering books. And there have been so many appointments lately, between my own, all of the girls and the cats and dogs too. I don't like having to be somewhere every day, theres too much to do here! Its hard enough keeping up with the house and getting all of my daily chores done. Hopefully things will settle down soon.
