Started a new book yesterday - Skipping
Christmas by John Grisham. The movie, Christmas With the Kranks is based on the book. It's very good so far!

Ahhh....one of my favs!!! I have read it several times shortly before the season starts!! ENJOY!!!

I have a basket of peaches I need to do something with tonight. Had to pick them early as there are so many on the two trees out back I was afraid the limbs would break from the weight. Too hot to bake so I am going to look for a few crock pot recipes to try. Enjoy your cobbler!

Yum!! Love peaches right off the tree!!!

I miss Ben Franklin. Thank you for posting the pictures!

I am so happy they reconfigured our Ben Franklin to carry really cool things that people will actually buy...therefor they can stay in business! One of my favorite stores!!

No reverse for me. I am trying to be fast, and that would slow me down.

That's why I was asking. That looked really tricky!!! Would take me FOREVER!!! Goodluck!!!

Tummy is still not feeling 100% so I will say good night, all. TTYT!

Glad to read that you are feeling better today!!!

So it's almost 4:00 in the morning and I woke up at three and haven't been able to sleep. I feel sick like I have a cold but don't want to call into work...no one would believe me since I've turned in my two week notice! Some luck!

I'm glad to read that you are feeling better too! Hope you're well enough to make it through the day at work!

Thank you, Festive!!
Hope you guys have a great day, too!!

How are you fall decoration ideas coming?

I've been planning mine out in my mind =]
Hope to start decorating at the beginning of September!!

Beginning of September makes it sound SO close!!!

Good morning!
Well it looks like it will be another busy day today. My youngest had to start work at 6:00 a.m. this morning so I woke up with her at 5:00 to get ready to drive her in. And my oldest has a neurologist appointment in a little while. Then we will go straight to the Verizon store to get her a new Iphone. She dropped her phone last night and it isn't working right. Thankfully she is due for an upgrade. I'm hoping we are in and out of there because she also has to go in to work later. Other than that, typical day of chores and errands for me. Hopefully nothing else will come up! It really has been so hectic lately. I'm going to finish my coffee and then take a walk with the dogs. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hope you have a chance to breathe!!! Enjoy your busy day!!!

I woke up at 2:30 to change sheets from a kid accident and couldn't fall back asleep... came downstairs and remembered it's QVC Christmas day! So I was up watching int he middle of the night... soooo tired now..... ahhhh!

I was up a few times overnight. Wish I would have thought about turning on QVC! Lets have a cup (or 3) of coffee together! :)

Yes, she did! She's a snowflake, a rat (LOL), and the understudy to the Arabian Princess. She and her best friend got the same parts, so she's very happy. Thanks for asking!

Congrats to Elizabeth!!!

Oh no, just got a message from my buddy wanting to know if I was going to be home around noon. I wonder what kind of situation he has got himself into now. LOL!!!

Good luck!!!

Snowflake, I was just thinking of planning, too, but then realized that won't be possible this year because the part of the house I usually decorate will be torn apart. Maybe I will set out some stuff here in the computer room, which Hubby calls the War Room.

Oh, I have no doubt you will find a place to decorate!!!! :wiggy:

I was just reading, CAH, about anemia and tiredness. The company recommended Vitamin C, folic acid, and B-12 rather than lots of iron. The Vitamin C helps in the absorption of B-12 and iron. I don't recall ever knowing this! So, I am going to start this today!

Hi, everyone! I arrived back from vacation at the end of last week. Vacation was very nice but way too short. Everyone back home is okay so thanks for your prayers!

The night that we got home my throat felt really scratchy and weird. I thought it was a fluke but the next morning I woke up with a really bad cold. It hasn't gotten any better since. Now I am getting a cough to go with it. I am very relieved that this happened now and not on vacation!! I used hand sanitizer, washed my hands like crazy, and kept my fingers away from my face and my mouth, so I am not sure how I got sick. Guess it had to be airborne. Oh well, at least it is only a cold and I know it'll go away soon!

How have you all been? I am so glad that we have Christmas on QVC today!

This sounds exactly how my cold started. Sore throat, then down into my chest. I think yesterday was the 1st day I was not coughing so much. It lasted about 3 weeks! I hope yours is much shorter lived!!!! Get well!!

Good morning!!!

Since I am in the office by myself right now, I just turned on QVC! :???: Usually we have Fox News on...

Well, my Buster was sick last night. He was throwing up for several hours. I didn't give him any food after he started, but every time he would drink water, he would throw up! Finally around 8:00 I gave him a 1/2 a tums & he curled up & went to sleep. 1st time he had laid down all night. He was pacing the floor. He was fine overnight, but he was eating when I left for work this morning. Hopefully when I get home for lunch I won't have any messes to clean up! :-? Poor guy!!!

Not much going on around here today! I picked an overflowing 5 gallon bucket of tomatoes last night + another plastic grocery bag full...so tonight &/or tomorrow night I'll be canning SOMETHING tomato based!! The tomatoes are HUGE this year!!!! cheesy

Hope you are all having a GREAT day!!!

There is an easier way, but I really like "turning."

It feels good to feel better, LOL!

It is so muggy and warm here. Yucky! Fall, please hurry!

If any of you would like, you can go to FB and wish Benjamin Clark happy birthday! He is my son who loves to write and has written many unpublished things. I am honestly amazed at his writing skills! Thanks, if you do. No worries, if you can't!

Good afternoon, everyone!

A day removed from my vacation, I have finally found time to visit. I'm actually suppose to be at work, but our air conditioner is broken and the temperature is about 40F in the print office, so they had to give us the day off. I am not complaining.

Anyway, what a vacation! In regards to playing, Denver did not provide our best results, but we had a lot of fun. The mile-high air was certainly interesting. It took us all a bit of time to adjust our throws and breathing. The competition was fairly tough and we played fairly well - with the exception of a couple games. Aside from playing, the only real enjoyment we had in Denver was some white water rafting in the Arkansas River through Browns Canyon in Buena Vista, Colorado. It was quite beautiful! A great experience.

Vancouver was also quite nice. I didn't have the opportunity to do much sight-seeing - due to playing - but I am excited to return, someday. In the end, I was finally able to go for a swim in the Pacific Ocean. So refreshing! In regards to the tournament, we lost a heartbreaker in the finals of the Canadian championships 15-10. We had a 4-1 lead, but lead it slip away. The good news in this? We qualified for the world club championships in Lecco, Italy next August. We're all excited to return to Europe!

Time flies on vacation... and the countdown always seems to be flying! Excited to hit another milestone on Thursday. 2/3 to the start of the Christmas Season!? Wow! Signs should be popping up all over the place quite shortly. In fact, we're just over a month until my favourite thread of the year debuts!! Speaking of signs... I saw a Christmas magazine in the "seasonal" wrack at a grocery store in Aurora, Colorado. I don't really remember the name and did not have my camera on me, but it brought a smile to my face!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! This midweek is almost here!! Soon it will be yet another 'Pines Day!

It really sounds like you had a great time. Italy, WOW! I am sure you will cherish that! Welcome back!

It's nice to see you. Sorry to hear you all lost the tournament but huge congratulations on qualifying for the club championships! Better start learning some Italian!

Sounds like you had an amazing trip. Hopefully you will have some time to relax with your family now.

Great to hear from you, too! I hope I can get by a little easier with English in Italy than I did in Prague! Perhaps I can learn a few phrases, however.

It was a wonderful trip. I am happy to be home, but I love to travel. Still, it's good to relax at home with Kim.
