Hello MMC!
I hope everyone is doing well!
I have been super busy. I feel like everytime I log on here, I have to log right back off to do something. We have been doing some back to school shopping here and there. We have also been scheduling some doctor and dentist appointments. My youngest took her senior portraits a few days ago. I have also been working on financial aid applications for my two oldest. I am having some problems with that, and I am getting frustrated. And to top it off we are still having internet problems, we keep losing the connection. It also affects my phone. I could be in the middle of a conversation and then I lose the call. I have another technician coming to the house today to see if he could figure it out.
Other than that we are well. I am just completely sleep deprived and exhausted. I am looking forward to the start of the school year. I am looking forward to the girls being in early on school nights and me being able to get some sleep!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
I hope you can catch up on that sleep. I remember so well that time in my life especially with teenagers. I felt like I had one eye open 24/7 to make sure they were all in safely by a certain time during the summer. It was like a part-time job managing it all!

While we're talking about the Pines...

I would like to clear the air and address the elephant in the room:

I apologize for my conduct last night. I'm not sure what all I did. Carl gave me something to drink and promised it was only coffee. Next thing I know I'm waking up on my front lawn with no recollection of how I got there, wearing a sombrero that I've never even seen before. Needless to say, my wife was very disappointed in me.

Good to hear from you again. Love the avatar pic!

Goodnight everyone! it's been a long day so glad we are through half the work week. We are heading into late August and just one more month of summer left! Schools around here are about to start next week I think. I can't wait! anyways good night everyone talk to y'all tomorrow!

Week 4 of school holidays and I no longer call my children by their right names........I no longer know my own name. I have Lego brick indentations permanently scarred into the soles of my feet and my hair has developed a static electric force that would rival Don King. I know the dialougue to various kids films by heart and I've developed a sore back/kneecap/shoulder from indulging in various forms of sport and role play.

This morning, coming down the stairs I could actually hear my knees make a creaking click clacking sound but that was overtaken by the sight of my living room room which I am sure has become a habitat for wild animals..........

xx

I'm waiting for the next chapter ... this is so funny! (Laughing WITH you, not AT you)

also was curious as to whose car Carl decorated last night...

Christmasstar, this looks like one of your cakes!

my friends I have met up here tell me most or some Halloweens already have snowcover on the ground. From late Nov to march or April snow will be on the ground so I better get use to it!

Post pics when the time comes. So many folks here are starved for snow! :snowball:

What happened to the burro? If you say "what burro," I guess you forgot about that part. And if you forgot that, you probably forgot about your flamenco demonstration, too. Ole!

Goodnight, buddy!!!! Praying you feel better in the morning!!!

Thanks, buddy! I'm feeling somewhat better this morning, just a little bit of a headache left.

Thank you, Festive Spirit. I am looking forward to the weekend!!
What are your plans this weekend?

It is a three day weekend here and the last of the summer festivities before school reopens. We are hoping to go to an animal park near the lake district maybe on Saturday and perhaps a drive to the seaside again on Sunday. Other than that we will have a BBQ and watch some movies and chill at home.

:) This made me chuckle.

You are a wonderful Mom!!

When do your kids go back to school?

Thank you Snow, that is kind of you to say. School re opens on Sep 04th! I can't believe it's almost over to be honest!

Good morning, friends!!

How are you this morning?

My family is on their way home from up north, so we may be able to meet for lunch! I would love that!!
One day away from the beginning of the weekend...
Hope you all have a beautiful & blessed day!!

Sounds like a great plan, have a wonderful lunch with your family! What are you doing this weekend?

Good Thursday morning all. Sorry I haven't been around much. We are busy here. Fall semester has begun at the community college where I work. Our son starts his senior year of high school on Monday, 8/26. We are busy looking at colleges for him and applying for scholarships. (How I wish I could make him 5 years younger.) Most weekends we make the 3 hour drive down to check on my ailing parents. Neither one is doing well. Mom is still determined to go to Myrtle Beach on Labor Day weekend to see the ocean one more time. Hope we can make it happen.

An article in our local newspaper stated that the mountains of western North Carolina were second to Hilo, Hawaii in rainfall for the year in the US. We have already far exceeded our normal rainfall amount for the entire year. I certainly like the cooler temps but the rain has gotten old. Just 5 years ago, our well went dry during a drought. Now we have more rain than we can handle causing several land slides. It is suppose to be a nice weekend with only a slight chance of rain and highs in upper 70s and lows in mid 50s. We hope to be able to stay home and enjoy it.

Have a blessed day.

I am very sorry to hear your parents are not well. I hope you get to go to the beach, I am sure you will treasure these memories.

Wow senior year, I bet you feel like it was only yesterday he was little! I sure know what you mean about turning back the clocks.

Weird weather every where this year. I hope the rain lessens up where you are. Have a lovely weekend.

Ahhhhhh so that's where my sombrero went to.........

Seems like I was AWOL for a day or two and didn't realize it. Sorry 'bout that! I was here, but didn't leave any footprints.

Since we have no kids, I feel like a lazy slug compared with you parents who are keeping up with the beginning of another school year. We're busy in our own way, but not with the dawn-to-dusk job of raising children. Caring, engaged parents and grandparents are super-people---congratulations to you all!

I've been working on this year's YuleTube clips, planning a Christmas afghan, and wondering when the Christmas cards will come out at the Christmas Tree Shop so I can get an early start. Yep, it's August, all right! A couple weeks ago I started building a new Christmas library on iTunes so I can sync it up as soon as the season arrives (for me, that's usually right after Halloween---until then I listen to some Christmas music here and there, but after Halloween it's all Christmas music).

Looks great!

Mmmmmm I love cake any cake , sounds delicious! Peach butter? Wow sounds yummy!

Snowflake - Sorry to hear the classes aren't what you expected. Atleast it is Thursday so one more day till weekend and you can have a break!

I'm feeling pretty good this morning - still have a little bit of a headache and I'm still sneezing some. Thanks for thinking of me.

Whoa. What a night at the Pines....
Q: who put Mr. Bubble in the punch bowl?
Q: who put"Right back where I started from" the 1973 Polly Brown hit on repeat play on the Karreoke?
Q: who told Jayish it was a leopard print thong theme?

Yabbaaaaa

It's all my fault.

Good Morning MMC!!! It's going to be another warm day but it looks like we may see some rain. Yay!! Not a whole lot going on here today. Just a few errands to run and then I think I have to babysit for awhile. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Here's to hoping you get to see them! Have a great day, Snowflake!

Good morning friends! As I am about to leave to go to work I am really beginning to like my short drive to and from work in a few weeks. The leaves will begin changing! I can't tell you all how happy I am to have a real fall/winter coming up! my friends I have met up here tell me most or some Halloweens already have snowcover on the ground. From late Nov to march or April snow will be on the ground so I better get use to it! I hope everyone has a great Thursday! Talk to yall soon!

I know here in Pa, I remember times as a kid, there were times trick-or-treating in the snow. Last year, it was pretty cold when I took my kids, but there was no snow yet. We shall see!

We understand that you can't be here - family comes first. Good luck to your son in his first days of senior year. How exciting!

Continuing to pray for your parents. Hoping you guys can get to the beach for Labor Day. I'm sure that would mean so much to her and the entire family. God Bless.

Haha...love it! That's the most accurate description of summer break I've ever read...and the funniest! Stay strong, sister. When it comes to parenthood, only the STRONG survive.
