Good morning MMC!!! Happy Friday!!! I hope you all have something fun planned for the weekend! We are heading to the lake tonight. Tomorrow is Wine, Wings & Whoppers - Sunday is Steve Solo at the Shack! Hopefully it's as good of a weekend as we have it planned to be!
I get off work at noon on Fridays so this afternoon I need to stuff the mushrooms (already made the stuffing last night) & get packed up for the weekend! Other than that - not much going on around here! Tonight is the 2nd HS Football scrimmage - the town is all pumped up! cheesy Every year I make my hubby his favorite cake for his bday - Spice Cake with Penuche Icing. I was busy last week with tomatoes & getting ready for our mini vacation, I never got the cake made. So I made it last night & I'm bringing it to the Wing thing tomorrow night. Anyway, it's in the shape of & decorated like a football. (new cake pan) You should have seen his face. Almost like his cake isn't going to taste the same b/c it's not 9 x 13! LOL! He needs to get out of the box. Ha ha! It didn't turn out toooo bad for my 1st attempt at cake decorating.
Have a great day/weekend everybody!!!
okay, groceries bought, oil in my truck changed, and i'm caught up on here. Now i guess i better get to cleaning.
Sounds like a great weekend!!!!! The cake sounds pretty good too!!!
Your yuletube is such a good idea. It's the perfect little token gift with a personal and unique touch. It must be so much fun to put together!
Yes the Lake District is beautiful, it inspires. Before we had the kids I used to take many breaks up there with nothing but books for company. Nothing beats a row on the lake on a nice day.
We may be visiting a little seaside town called Whitby on Sunday. The town was a source of inspiration for Bram Stroker's book, Dracula.

Meceka, those veggies and fruits look delish!
Bradmac, my son is a master chef when it comes to ramen noodles. (you can tell he was a college student) Ha ha! He makes a ramen noodle sandwich but not use it as a bun, puts it in between real bread. I will have to show him this picture you posted.
We usually don't have a traditional Christmas dinner (turkey, ham, etc.) we have a mixture of different foods including my sons Christmas Noodles (as we now named it). He makes a fantastic dish with ramen noodles that everyone looks forward to.
If you guys figure out how to get the noodles to stay together as a bun, let me know!
Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!
I had a very challenging evening yesterday, working on my part-time business. I was trying to beat sundown, and everything was conspiring against me. I finally emerged victorious, with help from Jacob, but it was 9pm, and we were filthy.
At least we have the waterpark to look forward to this afternoon!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
GM everyone so running on half empty tank today due to the baby was restless and cranky all night due to being sick. She seems to have a small fever and running nose so tried to comfort her as much as could last night. Now on to work and catch up on a bunch of stuff so don't have to work this weekend. so hope everyone has a great day.

Some of the reicpes looked cute/yummy!
Love the recipes!
Enjoy your visit with the grandkids! Have a good weekend!I didn't get a chance to catch up on everything here. My grandchildren will be here soon.
I hope you all have a very Merry Day!
Nice shop! I especially like the polar bears, they always remind me of Louann, and Santa as Dr. Who! Ok, it's a phone booth, not a police box, but a guy can wish, can't he? cheesy
It's fun, but it's work, too, to choose enough new clips each year and get the editing just right. And we add titles to some of the clips, or superimpose the names of performers, and that takes some doing. Then when the clips are just right, I have to "build" the DVD and the menu. I rarely use the software except to work on YuleTube, and from year to year I forget how to do things, so there's a learning curve every year! But the results are usually worth the hours it takes. We enjoy watching the previous years' DVDs and being surprised by things that we forgot we did to put an extra spin on a clip.
Love that picture and thanks for sharing! It looks like the kind of place Dracula would hang out at.

Merry Carey is very talented, to say the least!!!
She is indeed, and so are you! Crochet is such a great skill!
I wish I could visit England. I majored in English in college, and English literature was my favorite, especially the Romantic Period. There is so much history there! Have fun on your visit to Whitby!
Me too. I'm not sure about the Pumpkin Mac n Cheese?? :-?
For some reason, I knew that would be your reaction when I read Deacula. LOL!!!
I have added grated pumpkin or squash to Mac and cheese in the past and its been scrumptious! It adds a nice buttery, creaminess to it.
You might be pleasantly surprised......
You all have just made me decide on dinner tonight. Mac and Cheese! Whoo Hoo!
Wow the end product must be a real triumph! I bet you really cherish looking back on them throughout the years!
