Christmas Countdown - 2013

Hi everyone! WOW...FOUR months today is CHRISTMAS!!! How EXCITING is that!!!

I'm sorry I cannot get on here more often to post. Its been super busy in both professional and personal life! We had our third grandchild born in April - our first grandson! We now have 3 grandchildren...and being a Grammie is the best thing ever!

Well...the only music I listen to on my mp3 player - is Christmas music. I listen to it as I walk from the train station to work, on my lunch breaks and walking back to the train station. As I walk - I remember how all the shops decorate at Christmas...and I am sooooo excited to see it all in real life again! Veeeeery soon!

Oh, and I have some time off work this week as I use up some vacation on my last week at my agency before I start a new career. One more...next week is Labor Day. Pretty sweet week shaping up, friends.

Star, maybe the reason you are not invited to those parties is your "friend" takes credit for making the cake and doesn't want you to know. She sounds really awful!

Take it how you want to, it's just my opinion, but it sounds like you paid your dues - I wouldn't do anymore cakes for her. Like you said, you can't do it for free!

I am so sorry to hear that.

So unfair! It sounds to me like she's using you. That should be the last cake you make for her unless she starts showing you some consideration.

Afternoon all. Qvc UK having a get ready for Christmas day with lots of shows getting us in the festive mood. My wife and I are heading to Scotland for a few days on holiday and when we get back it'll be September! Into the 'bers. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Ooh, I just realized that there is a Joy of Christmas show on QVC at 5pm EDT today!!!


Also Wednesday they are having a Holidays at home event. It looks like it will be a mixture of fall and christmas decor shows. With Christmas shows specifically at 4am, 9am, and 12pm.

Food milling tomatoes this afternoon. I'm hoping the bulk of the tomatoes will not ripen until it cools down after next week - I want to do some canning. Too humid today. I organized the contents of the chest freezer - it's quite the job as I am short and have a hard time reaching the bottom. Good way to cool off on a hot day, though. cheesy
