Christmas Countdown - 2013

Hey everyone!

I don't know how I missed this, but apparently the Barenaked Ladies are playing three Christmas shows in Ottawa on Dec 12-14. Hits and Holidays Songs. I'd imagine they will be playing a few more of their Christmas classics than hits. Anyway, Kim and I just found out today and purchased balcony seats to see BNL perform at the National Arts Centre here. It should be a great time! Very excited!

I have wanted to see BNL live since I was about six years old when their debut album Gordon was released in Canada and the song Enid was a number one hit... at least it was in Canada. Of course, that longing increased even more with the release of Barenaked for the Holidays. And now, I'll finally be seeing them live! Very excited. The Season is only two months away and BNL is three. Can't wait!

Love seeing BNL live. One of the best concerts was in Portland Maine with Guster opening up for them. Such a great night,.

Starting to get my desk set up. The frames I have all my pictures of the kids in broke so we are getting new ones. In the mean time Anna drew me a picture of herself so I'd have one!

And Mgramsey, that's a mini statue of the Duke!

It was a drastic change!!!!! It feels great out though!!!!


Well the scary movie would keep me awake, so I say skip it, take an hour nap, then get up and cook and decorate!!!

It would feel good out there if I had more than shorts & a short sleeve shirt on. :lol: It is warming up a little now though. But that air is chilly!
I brought my friend a fountain pop this afternoon - she babysits out of her home & she was texting all morning how she wanted a fountain pop - so I brought her one. Now I am sitting in my recliner w/ an afghan, I turned on TCM & logged on to MMC. My head might start nodding soon. Ha ha!

That's how I'm feeling right now. How can the afternoon be going so slow when I'm so busy?

Happy Friday! We finally have a beautiful weekend in the 60s. We got a new fire pit last night and we will be using it this weekend. We also go new furniture yesterday!! It wouldn't be that exciting except my husband moved our old furniture to the basement for the kids and then went to buy the new to find out it had to come from another state and wouldn't be delivered until Sept. 12th. We have been sitting on camping chairs and a blow up air mattress for almost 3 weeks. It was so nice to come home from work yesterday and sit on a couch. We have a weekend of football games, horse riding lessons, yard work, and hopefully a little bit of relaxing before I have to go back to work again on Monday.

Maybe Calgon with be at your house when you get home and will take you away. Many times, it has happened for me and feels wonderful! A glass of wine resting on the tub edge or on a tray also helps!

I love "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" by BNL. FYI, bare naked ladies are gorgeous-looking pale pink plants that smell divine! Once in church, an older lady brought them to decorate the altar. I asked her about them and really laughed out loud when she told me she brought bare naked ladies to church!

Who wants to fly to Holiday's?

Good morning! TGIF!! Friday the 13th! It is a darn chilly 55º this morning. The wind makes it feel like 45º!! :cold: That was a drastic change from 99º two days ago!!! It would be an awesome night for a big kettle of soup!!!

We had a great time last night. I am sleepy today - coudln't believe it when my alarm went off this morning. My friends kept me out way too late last night! :lol: A nap might be in order when I get off work at noon! Maybe a scary movie & a nap?! But I'm really in the mood to cook/bake....and put up fall decorations!! We'll see!!!

Good morning! Thank you for all for the prayers and well wishes. I appreciate it.

My youngest is not well, he has a cold and a bit of an upset stomach. He is in good spirits though and trooping along. Anyway I doubt I will get up to much today as he is not well. I have just hung some laundry out and I'll do a spot of cleaning when he takes a nap later. I plan to make a lamb hot pot for dinner tonight but I very much feel like taking the lazy way out and ordering take away LOL ....maybe we will , it's not often that we do!

Can you believe it is Friday again? We have Iron Man 3 to watch this weekend but not much else planned. I think we will just go with the flow.....

Just like all the furbabies and the non-fur babies, Happy Dog is a cutie!

Even Happy Dog partied too hard at the Pines last night! He is still trying to recover! I think I might hit the sack myself. Good night all!

Our tub is too small to stretch out in ... but I'll figure out something to rest that glass of wine on ...

Funny, there have been busier weeks/days that didn't take quite so much out of me. Must have been that birthday I had in July.
