I love the smell of the leaves and fireplace smoke. When I was a kid, people would rake up their leaves and put them in the gutters to burn them. I was in heaven watching the drifting smoke.

It is beautiful., I love going through the woods for a walk when the leaves have changed. The color, the crunching leaves under foot, so nice and relaxing and peaceful.

Well, I am headed off to take a nap, since I have to get ready for work in a little more than 2 hours .

Made: Keep me updated on baby watch!!!

Hope you all have a great evening!

Of course, you could always retire, Dawg. And that snide remark is coming from a retired teacher who is so happy to be home, LOL. I have to admit that our weather is unseasonable. We are having real fall weather and it is only September. Normally, we don't have fall weather until close to the end of October. When I was teaching, we still had the air conditioner running in the classrooms all through October--no lie! I am hoping this means we might have an early, very cold (dare I say snowy?) winter. I am almost giddy thinking that it could be possible!

...,still no rain yet and its awful mild 77F outside right now..but it's cloudy and windy..very strange weather!!! Hope everyone is getting through your day alright..especially those of us at work.lol folks at home today are so lucky!

it is so quiet here. LittleCS went home, my other daughter is at work, my son is working on some project in the basement and I am waiting with the rest of you for baby news.
At least the TV makes noise!

If you want a lot of noise I could send my boys. cheesy I wouldn't wish that on anyone though.

Enjoy the movie!!

Let us know how spooky it is!!

May I make an interjection? Have any of you read the sequel to The Shining? The title is Doctor Sleep:
Doctor Sleep The Long-Awaited Sequel to The Shining
spacer2x2.gif
Dan Torrance -- all grown up, yet still haunted by his childhood stay at the Overlook Hotel -- now uses his telekinetic "Shining" powers to aid the ill and dying. But when Dan befriends a twelve year old girl with abilities even stronger than his own, the duo become targets of the True Knot, a cult of RV-driving, polyester-clad immortals who survive by torturing "Shining" children to death. The long wait for Dan's story fulfills its promise, a suspenseful, supernatural odyssey bearing the heartfelt human drama of Stephen King's finest work.

School House Rock--Interjections

When Reginald was home with flu, (uh huh)
The doctor knew just what to do:
He cured the infection,
With one small injection,
While Reginald uttered some interjections:

Ouch! That hurts!
Yow! That's not fair, giving a guy a shot down there!>

Interjections
Show excitement,
Or emotion.
They're generally set apart from a sentence
By an exclamation point,
Or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong. Mmmm...

Though Geraldine played hard to get, (uh huh)
Geraldo knew he'd woo her yet.
He showed his affection,
Despite her objections,
And Geraldine hollered some interjections:

Oh! I've never been so insulted in all my life!
Hey! You're kinda cute!>

Interjections
Show excitement,
Or emotion.
They're generally set apart from a sentence
By an exclamation point,
Or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong.

So when you're happy
Or sad
Or frightened
Or mad
Or excited
Or glad
An interjection starts a sentence right!

The game was tied at seven all, (uh huh)
When Franklin found he had the ball.
He made a connection,
In the other direction,
And the crowd starting shouting out interjections:

Interjections
Show excitement,
Or emotion.

By an exclamation point,
Or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong.

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah... yeah!!

once a teacher always a teacher! Love it!

I feel so blessed to feel so good!!! I have done three loads of laundry, rested for an hour, did some computer work, cleaned up the kitchen, and did some other moseying about. I am so happy that I could cry, realizing that my body was being short-changed in the energy department. I honestly feel like my old self! I had been so depressed thinking that I would never feel good again, and now I feel great!

That is so awesome!!!

My wife is going to kill me. I got home and instead of just eating a little snack like I told her I would do I ended up eating 3 corndogs and my appetite is gone. We are leaving in about an hour to go to this great little Mexican restaurant we have found then to the movies. I bet though I will still be able to eat that really should not be a problem,I just don't like hearing nagging about eating when I knew we were going out yada yada... anywhoo the boys are already bathed and ready for their sitters. We found these sisters in high school that go to our church that are wonderful with them and they are so reliable and hard working,we don't expect them to clean the kitchen or anything but they do! Not that we leave it dirty either but they just go out of their way,and we are glad we found them because once we moved that was a big issue with trusting a new sitter. Well I better scoot off hopefully by tonight when I return Coach will have his baby here with them! It has been such a long day for them. Have a great evening everyone! enjoy your suppers!

LOL! Always room for Mexican!! Have a great night!

That reminds me - this morning on our walk just before sunrise, we could see smoke coming from the chimney of an older home in town! I LOVE seeing that!!!! So cozy!!

Keeping Coach & Mrs. Coach in my thoughts/prayers! Hopefully it's all over soon & we will hear news of a healthy Mom/Baby!

I received a coupon for a discount to a Sacramento-area haunted corn maze. Who wants to go?

Dave's Haunted Corn Maze, The Deadly Harvest – Southport
Terrifying undead haunt The Deadly Harvest corn maze, open Fridays and Saturdays until midnight.
Mazes are often built to hide terrible secrets, such as Minotaurs and collections of Jane Eyre fan fiction. Make a seasonal discovery with this Groupon. You can read about Minotaurs here: http://greece.mrdonn.org/theseus.html

When I had to read the story of Theseus and Ariadne in college, I wanted to name a daughter after Ariadne. I also wanted the name Tiffany, too. Tiffany won out, since I only had one daughter, LOL!

$12 for two tickets to The Deadly Harvest haunted corn maze (a $24 value)
The undead stalk the corn-maze grounds from dusk until midnight every Friday and Saturday starting October 5, with additional hours on October 28–31.

Dave's Pumpkin Patch

In eighth grade, David Vierra took a field trip to Apple Hill that changed his life. He returned determined to grow pumpkins, and at age 13 he began his first patch. That passion hasn’t waned in the last two decades—the fifth-generation farmer still cultivates a more than 2-acre patch, where gourds of many varieties and sizes await plucking. David also tends to his grandfather’s garden and 800 acres of specialty vegetables such as heirloom tomatoes, black seedless watermelons, and six varieties of hard squash.
Though he maintains his farm through hard work, Dave's Pumpkin Patch opens its doors to the public every autumn and, under the name Dave's Xmas Trees, every winter in the spirit of play. The annual Cornival*** features 12 family-friendly attractions such as pony rides, pig races, a pumpkin cannon that launches gourds 500 yards into the air, and a bunny barn. Santa Claus makes an appearance during winter activities to pose with visitors for photographs.

fun!!!!!!!

The kids in my class through the years could not believe how I heard everything! What I really liked to do was to be writing on the board with my back to the students and have someone act silly and without turning around, I would keep writing and say, "Jason, tell me about that at recess time. Then he would say, "How does she do that?" Still writing, I would say (can you guess?), "Because I have eyes and ears in the back of my head!"

Note to self. Don't talk about Seawater's behind her back. LOL!!!!!

Glad you didn't have any lasting side effects from your's.
