Welcome home!!!!



I have a funny story when we first came home with our first.

We lived in a second floor apartment, and we were on the stoop holding JP, I was putting the key in the door, i looked at my wife she looked at me and we both started bawling uncontrollably. We had 2 or 3 days with the nurses helping us out, and at that moment reality set in to both of us, and we were in charge of bringing up this beautiful new life. We were both so scared. The first thing we did was unplug the phone and the three of us took a nap. We felt so much better after that.

It has been a long day here, I am up later than I should be. I am stressing out about my inventory tomorrow, I don't have my strongest people on, and one of them needs to be "babysat" to be sure he gets the work done, and I don't have that type of time tomorrow. Then I have to back for 6am on Sat. morning to enter the final numbers. Wish me luck, please.
I did pick up the DVD The Legend of Smurfy Hollow to watch during the Halloween season, so we have that to look forward to and a week from tonight the Bruins start up. Wooohooo!!!

I popped in to wish everyone a good day! I'm helping to host 'World's biggest coffee morning' for 'Macmillan Cancer Support' in the campus today so I'm leaving a way earlier than my lecture starts. We did quite well last year but we do hope for even better donations this year so fingers crossed.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that sent up a prayer for Molly! The doctor examined her and said it doesn't appear to be anything serious. She may have pulled a ligament. I already started her on anti inflammatory pills. If she doesn't improve in a couple of days I will bring her back for an X-ray. She is 11 years old now and I could see some changes in her, she is definitely slowing down.
And my daughters car situation is finally resolved. My husband surprised us all tonight and brought her new car home. This time its an automatic and she can drive it, lol. She is thrilled. I'm happy that is behind us!

Good too hear. hopefully they will kick in soon. did he tell you to give them with food, as they are sore on the stomach and can make a dog throw up or go of there food ~}

Good Morning MMC Gang!

How are you?

Thank god it's friday! I'm soooo tired.

We had our church home group meeting last night and did a bible quiz. It was sooo funny and I'm still shocked that I won the game. Never thought that I would be able to answer so many questions.

After the home group meeting, I watched the last episode of the first "Crossing Lines" season. They left with sooo many cliffhanger it's not fair. Now I have to wait till next year to know if all member of the team will survive. By the way this is my crime series discovery of the year.

Thanks so much for the thoughts for Jordan! I remember being very shy here at first just like in real life I did not even venture into the countdown thread until like 6 months or a year later! I stayed in the games section mostly, but I was surprised when I came in this thread everyone made me feel right at home now I have like 28,000 posts I can't believe it. My wife knows everyone here because I mention yall thru out the day!!!

I know how you feel. That's the way I feel here. In my country people usually only think about christmas (and talk about it) around mid november. So it is great to have a place where christmas fans can talk about chrismas all year round.

Well, got word today that I am very unique, a rare specimen even. These words from my optometrist! She tells me I have a form of color blindness which explains why I cannot read anything that is typed in yellow or orange. It is a relief to my son as he was getting tired of coming over to read stuff for me when I could not make it out. I also discovered if I highlight it (like you do if you want to cut and paste) it will show up darker and then I can read it.
I can see there is writing there, just not what. I can also tell it is yellow if it is outlined in black or some other color.
But, at least I am unique!

Oh, Christmasstar we knew you are special way before your doctor said it! I guess this color blindness can really be inconvient. I hope you'll find a way to deal with it. Could it be, that your children will get this color blindness as well?

Well lunch time is about to roll around in 45 minutes. I go from 1130 to 1230. I think it's going to be cheese and crackers to nibble on why I finish working on the end of the month paperwork. The end of the month can be stressfull but I try to keep on top of it.Everything has to be closed out by midnight of the last day of the month. Anyhow I better get back to work. Have a great afternoon everyone!

The end of the month is very busy time in my company, too. Usually I have to deal with customer who can't or won't understand that our prices change each month. Besides those price changes and changing products takes sooo much time. Therfore I know how you feel. I hope your able to finish all in time.

I feel quite tired now. Not physically but emotionally. I had two lectures today at the university which weren't that bad despite the fact that there is no break between them so fours hours of staying extremely focused, listening and making notes can be quite exhausting. (But that should be okey because it's going to be like that on Thursdays only.) Some international students in our campus are in progress of starting 'International society' and we had our first official meeting today. It went better than everybody had expected. There were quite a lot of people who came up and there will be lots more next time because they couldn't make it today. I haven't really realized how many international students there actually are in our small campus. ^^ Also, I met another Lithuanian girl who has just started her first year of the same course I'm doing so now we are two Lithuanians here. ^^ I hope we could meed for a coffee and a chat someday soon so I could know her better. :]

Yes, it was very hilarious. It always is on a friday. Most of my co workers are males. Their way of speaking and the topics are often quite suggestively. I got used to it, but in the beginning I was a bit shocked. Guess I was too innocent ;-)

Your international club sounds great! I hope you meet many new friends there.

We are definitely into fall here, which is really weird since we normally don't see fall until the end of October. The wind has been blowing HARD for at least two days--I don't like that part, especially when I have had my hair done, LOL!!! Take care, everyone!

Good early morning friends!!! I mean EARLY morning. whew tonight was my turn with Jordan his ear is still giving him fits at night. so I have been up since about 230am,I decided just to stay up until work time. it's Friday thank heavens! MY b-I-l and s-I-l is coming tomorrow for the week. They came to see the Mountains and the leaves change as next week is suppose to be peak week. Anyhow not much else to report this morning except the weather here is getting cold but we still have not turned on our heat. This morning it's 41F and in the house it's 69F so we are teetering right on the edge and if it were up to me(hehe funny I know) I would have already turned it on a few minutes! Well I hope everyone has a great morning! I will be checking in all day!

Hello again! I forgot to mention it's going to be a great football weekend again! I know a lot of folks here watch Pro but im hooked on College. Especially my Ga bulldogs! They play LSU this weekend so It will be a nail biter. Next week they are playing Tennessee and that will be one also! After that I think it's Missouri then after that it's game of the season... the game that usually makes fights break out in the stands and parking lot..the GA/FL game is always played around Halloween. I went to one when I lived in Ga and said I would never go back because the tension and well hate is too much. Folks get drunk and end up fighting over a silly game. It will be just as fun to watch in my living room!! I can't wait! Well I hope everyone's team wins this weekend!
