Not many trick-or-treaters last night, but I passed the time ripping more Christmas CDs and syncing about 1400 Christmas songs to my iPhone. 'Tis the season!

I love it too. Especially the Holiday issues. I think this Thanksgiving one is an awesome one!! Did you see the Sausage Pan Pizza recipe - the lady won (I think it's Jimmy Deans) grand prize winner for her recipe? She is from a neighboring town here. One of my best friends knows her! That was cool to see!!!

I flipped through the magazine to see her picture, that is exciting. All of those sausage recipes look yummy :-D

I'm sorry, but this made me laugh out loud!!! (even though that is disturbing!!) Are you kidding me??? WOW!

It's ok, we laugh about it now. It was in broad daylight too, can you imagine?

Evening! I hope everybody 's Friday is going well. Weekend is here again. Raining a lot here today. We were very luck that it was dry for the trick or treaters last night. We had a really good night.

We have spent the day replacing the cistern for the toilet, well Mr. Festive has anyway , I just helped.

Tonight we are kicking of November with Arthur Christmas. It's the first time we are watching it so I am looking forward to it and I hope it's good.

Have a fun Friday everybody!

Have a good night, enjoy the movie!!!

Good news! Everyone accounted for...they said that there was several kids missing, but apparently when it started people scattered and families got separated.

Thank God!

It's November; Yeaaaaaaaa!!!! :-D And today is also my son's (Zach's), 21st birthday today.

Needless to say, based upon his plans, (which I must add here, I tried to talk him out of), will most likely, result in him having his head either stuck in a bucket, or a toilet bowl late tonight....

At least the group of them are getting a cab~

Happy Birthday to Zach!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

We trick-or-treated last night with Elizabeth and some of her younger cousins. Here's the Wilma Flintstone costume that Elizabeth made for herself:

WilmaFlintstone_2_zpsa96fc95f.jpg

I spent most of the evening impersonating Barney Fife, waving a flashlight trying to slow cars as they sped dangerously through town. Seriously, what are some people thinking? One guy stopped and, with a scowl on his face, said, "Are trying to stop me?" I said, "No, just trying to slow traffic because of all the children trick-or-treating." His demeanor became less severe, and he said, "Oh. Good idea." Then he drove off slowly.

I really need a badge.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Elizabeth did a great job on her costume, Brad! You did a great job directing traffic! I hope you have a great day, too!

Well, we enter the final few hours of October....I love Halloween...but I like when it's over, too. All the excitement, the kids dressed up, seeing people you haven't seen in awhile....it's all so cool....but when it's over....and this calm sets in....you realize that in a few hours it's November....

and November is when the magic happens....

Hang on, friends....here we go!

This is a very nice costume! I wouldn't mind wearing it everyday. ^^

Good morning MMC!
It's going to be rainy and windy today. The rain isn't coming down at the moment but I am hesitant about going out there for a walk. The dogs do not like the high winds!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. I had a great time handing candy out. We had about 50 trick or treaters this year. I think we have less and less every year!
I'm so excited that it's November 1st. I can't stop thinking about Thanksgiving. I'm going to start working on my menu plan!
My husband finally decided what car we will be getting. I'm kind of sad to see my truck go but I think I will like the crossover. I will have the new car by tonight.
Not too much planned for me today. Typical day of chores. I need to figure out what I'm going to cook next week and then I will go to the butcher. I'll do the rest of my food shopping tomorrow.
If I have time I will run to Target for a few things too. Maybe I'll check out their Halloween clearance!
I hope everyone is well and has a happy Friday!!!

Congratulations on your new car!!!

So excited for Hallmark's Christmas movies!! Starting tonight!!!!

This is great! I hope you will enjoy every movie. :]

Good evening everyone, and happy Friday! I've been walking around the town centre today - I had some time for that because I finished at the university quite early today - and I saw some several shops decorated for Christmas! Supermarkets also have started selling Christmas trees. Amazing!

Best wishes, and I hope you all are having a relaxing evening! xx

That's great Star! Having a new water heater installed should last you another 10-15 years.

Here is some additional notes, friendly things to keep in mind from a friend: If you had a contractor install that for you and a drain is located near-by, It would have been prudent for the contractor to have install a drain pan w/ drain piping, under you water heater and extend that piping to a near-by drain or sump pit. Also, extend the T&P (Temperature and Pressure) valve blow off drain, to the drain as well. This way, (if you have a finished basement/ area), if there is any potential problems in the future (hopefully not), leakage, blow-off, etc..., the water will not discharge to your floor and ruin whatever is down there, but discharge to the drain, sump pit, etc...

Some people may tell you, that if you do that, you won't know that there's a problem because you won't see the water. Well, I'd rather use water, then loose whatever I have in the basement....

Also, since that appears to be a gas fired appliance, and if you do not have one, have a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Install that in a location as instructed per the manufacturers recommendation...:-D

I need to get a carbon monoxide detector - thank you for the reminder, xmastidings!

Good morning! Happy Friday! HAPPY NOVEMBER!!!!

I texted my sister this morning with a message that it's Nov. 1st - time to break out the Christmas music! WOO HOO!! Love, love, love it!! Our neighboring town (where she lives) is having "German Family Christmas" this weekend. A lot of shops participate with drawings & specials, etc. There is a craft bazaar tomorrow at the assisted living center. We went a couple years ago & they had really cool things. I'm hoping to make it over there. My favorite coffee shop participates too! I won the coffee tasting contest a couple years ago! Pathetic!

Our stitch n b*tch went really well last night. I got a lot done on my afghan. I have maybe 6 more inches to go & I can be done - or start the border. Getting excited for my next project already - though I'm not sure what it will be! I have yarn... The tornado warning in the middle of s & b woke everyone up! Thankfully we just had wind & rain & a rumble of thunder! We didn't get to watch Charlie Brown though. I was so bummed. It was on tv but with everyone yakking & the kids running around - it just didn't happen. Now that it's November I'm ready to move on the Thanksgiving/Christmas shows!!

This is our last weekend at the lake. It's bittersweet. I will miss it, but I'm looking forward to NOT having to pack up every Friday after work! Time to settle in for winter. : -)

Both bosses left this morning on an hour trip (each way) - it has been the best Nov. 1st morning ever! Ha ha!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Happy November to you, Holiday! Have fun at the German Family Christmas and your last weekend at the lake!

Good afternoon, MMC!

The wind has finally died down here - rather scary at times. Palmer hid under the bed for a few hours - can't say I blame her. Tree branches have been falling like crazy out there - what a mess! All the fur kids outside except for Willa have shown up. She comes and goes so I am not worried about her. I have been working on store tasks most of the day - tomorrow I get to do some new displays. I am putting out a bit more amber colored glassware for Thanksgiving and trickling in some Christmas items, too. Two weeks from tomorrow I will really load the Christmas stuff! Fun!!!!

Be MERRY and stay safe and dry!

Happy November!!!

Hope you're all enjoying your day! I've been Christmas shopping! I'm on a role! I have the kids done, except I need to buy one more gift for EA and I have my nieces and nephews done as well!

Have fun helping your friend and good luck with the teaching!!!!

Maybe I should have taken one of the middle days!!! LOL!!!!!

I've been working on it and hopefully you all like it.

Thanks, made. You'll do great with the special post. We believe in you! Good luck with your preparations.

Nov 1, the official start of Christmas music in our house!

First song of the season (as it is every year): "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" - Andy Williams :celebrate:

I've always been tempted to change that to my first Christmas song of the year. My tradition for the past ten years has been Jingle Bells by the Barenaked Ladies. Not as traditional, but it makes me feel the Season, too.

Happy November! Wow, what a morning.. we got hit with a DOWNPOUR as I was dropping poor Jude off at school. We were soaked! Noel and I planned to go grocery shopping after drop off, but we were so wet we had to come home and get changed. What a mess. I just hope Jude didn't get hit as bad as we did (I gave him the umbrella!)

I am just spending the morning cleaning and taking my Halloween stuff down. I need it OUT OF HERE to get ready for Xmas stuff! I got everything dusted, curtains cleaned, slipcovers are in the dryer... should I start sneaking things out?!?

Absolutely. I'm sure Jude and Noel would love it!
