Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good evening, everyone! How are you all doing today? All is well here. Just sipping on a cup of coffee, watching Hallmark and getting caught up on here.

What did you all do today? Well, we were supposed to go the Veteran's Day parade, with EA needing to twirl in it, but she has a blister on her heel. When I put her special shoes on to march, she said it was really marching and it was. She had to walk appx. two miles and she was already crying with the shoes on. DH and I decided she wouldn't be able to walk that far, so we didn't do the parade. We have three Christmas parades in December, so she needs to be well for then.

What is everyone's plans for this evening? We're not going to do much here. We're going to eat dinner soon and I'm just spending time with my family, watching Hallmark. I'm to go into work at 10, but the past couple of times I've had this schedule, the supervisor has called and told me to come in at 11, so I'll see what the night brings!

Well, I am off to read the rest of the boards. I will stop back before heading to bed for my nap. God Bless and keep smiling! Enjoy the evening!

Before most of the federal holidays were moved to Mondays, Veterans Day was celebrated on November 11. I like that it fell on November 11 this year.

Thank you to all who serve and who have served, especially our members here. Because of you, we all live freely!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!!! It's going to be a dreary day here with a high in the 40's. Then rain will move in this afternoon and switch to snow sometime late tonight. They are saying we may see an inch but that it will melt pretty quick in the morning. Then more snow showers on Wednesday but little to no accumulation. I was pretty lazy last week. So I need to buckle down and get some stuff done this week. Right now though, I am watching November Christmas on Hallmark. It is one of my favorites. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!

We head into the final two days before the Christmas Season... But, as always, November 11th serves as an even bigger message. Those of you in the U.S. will be celebrating Veterans Day. And, us in Canada will be celebrating Remembrance Day. With both, we honour those that have fallen in service and are no longer with us. We also thank those who served and returned home from battle.

So, today, I don't feel right talking about the closeness of Christmas. I just want to say thank you to everyone that has served in the name of peace. My grandfather, who past away in 2006, was a veteran of World War II. He did not speak about it much, but I know he was proud to have served and assisted his Canadian comrades in victory. On this day, I remember him and others. The WWII generation is slowing dying, but we always remember the sacrifice and freedom they preserved for us. They put their lives on the line when we needed it most. And, to that, I say thank you. I will always remember.

Because my twins are 10 years old today!

We are soon eating dinner of their choice (pizza)
and then we are going to the movies to see a Norwegian Christmas movie..

It's a cold day here today..

We are moving december 1st..
So it doesn't look like Christmas here...
And Im feeling a little down because of it...boxes everywhere!

It will be great to move into or new home but I normally
would have lots of Christmas stuff in my home by now...

Good morning! We had a very nice, but yet hectic weekend, looking at houses and trying to sell ours. We got word late Friday night, that a contract came in on our house and then Saturday morning, the realtor called and said we got another one. So, a bidding war commenced on our house (that's a good thing)!

We didn't hear anything from the realtor until late last night, the final offer for our home was more than what we listed it for; (very happy about that). We accepted the offer and signed the contract last night - So, we sold our home, pending passing home inspections....Yea~

We found three houses that we like, two of them, we really love and cannot decide which one we want to make an offer for. So, tonight, we are going to take Zach and Vicki there tonight for the first time to get their points of view. Of course, it boils down to what we like, etc....this is the fun part!

Congrats to you guys!! So happy for you, friend!!

I just found out, that the people that bought my house wants to settle on December 27th...yikes! That's going to put a little crimp in my Christmas decoration plans. Looks like very little decorations and a lot of packing, between now and then.

Lisa mentioned to me over the phone about maybe we should not put up a tree this year because of the move, the move date, packing and such. My response, "No way, not gonna do it"! The tree will be up and decorated"!!!!!!

I have to confess, the 27th of December is not all that far out...It will be my luck, we will have a blizzard that day; lol!

I would do the same thing! Your tree will be extra special this year!!

I have been busy all morning with chores and errands but I finally finished everything I needed to do for today. The girls are home from school and we will be heading out soon to grab some lunch and then head to the mall to do some shopping. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Hello all. Well I got some stuff done around here, at a burger with my friend Nick, and then went to see the new Thor movie. I also had some Christmas music going throughout the day.

I am doing well. We had a nice day visiting with my parents- we went out to lunch and browsed around downtown. They are starting to put out their Christmas decorations, love it!

We awoke to a little bit of snow & ice on the ground. It has been a very chilly day! Only made it to 29 degrees. The high winds are what is keeping it so cool.

We had such a fun time at the Packers-Eagles game! It was perfect weather- 42 degrees & sunny. We tailgated a bit before meeting up with my uncle & cousin, so much fun!

I plan on watching Hallmark and catching up on laundry tonight.

What are you up to?

I'm getting excited... here in North Jersey we are expecting our first snowfall of the season tomorrow morning. Just a light snowfall, should only put down a dusting if anything, but it will be nice to see snow once again! Just wish it wasn't during the morning commute. Oh well, it's snow! :-D

very slow day at work, which was fine because I had one mega headache.
It is gone now, on my break I took some meds.
Home and working on ginger bread covered bridge and relaxing watching TV. Snow is still wafting down, looks very nice out there. Temperature is dropping, down to -3c (26f)
Dancing with the Stars is on now
