Good Morning, MMC!!

How are you today?

I am well. Just having coffee & enjoying a fire and our Christmas tree

We are almost done decorating, we will hopefully be finished with the village by the weekend. We put out 4 tables, and decided to stop there. And maybe rotate pieces each year. Adrian asked me if I'm ever going to stop buying new pieces, lol. My answer was "Hmmmm..." =]

I have been trying to avoid the Home goods area at work, we are getting a truck everyday now, and most of it is Christmas! Yikes! So tempting...

Thinking of you all, and keeping everyone in prayer- for health, safety, and just because you are all dear to my heart.

Wow!
After today we will have completed a full week of Christmas Season 2013. Time's really getting away from us!

.......as the numbers reveal:
Days to Thanksgiving: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 36 (Five weeks from tomorrow!)
Closerer and closerer we come to the heart of the Holiday Season!

It was wonderfully warm yesterday, albeit a tad damp.
Today will be a different story as winter reminds us it's not far away!
We have started the day at 45 crisp, clear degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone.
Open house Wednesday at the 'Pines tomorrow, you know!

I received my first Christmas card on Friday!
It was from Country Treasures- our local Hallmark & gift store. It was hand written!
I thought that was pretty darn cool, in this day & age. Nice to be appreciated as a customer. I do shop there a lot

It seems like everytime I get on Facebook the number of confirmed Tornado's yesterday keeps rising. It's now up to 23 and they are still out there investigating. That stands as the thrid most in a single day in Indiana history.

Thanks. It's amazing there were only a couple of minor injuries. There was one couple in a house that got tore off of it's foundation and flipped up side down. They walked away with just a few bumps and bruises. There was a car picked up and thrown into the front of a starbucks. No one was hurt though. Two schools got hit but luckily there wasn't any one in them. It's just amazing to see the destruction and know that no one got killed.

Good morning!
I just got back from walking the dogs, it is so windy out there!
My daughter felt awful this morning but she started clinical today and had to be at the hospital bright and early. Then she has to work this afternoon in to this evening. I'm praying she doesn't have too much written homework to do on top of everything. I feel bad for her, I hate when they're sick!
I am just finishing up a cup of coffee and then I'm heading out. The dogs have a groomer appointment in a little while. I feel like I was just there, the past month went by so fast! I also need to run to the supermarket and Target. Then back home to get my chores done.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and their Monday is going well!

Yesterday my daughter and I decorated the mantle for Christmas...with white lighted garland and some of my lighted snowmen.

May look a little strange for Thanksgiving next week but oh well!! It so nice to be sitting in the dark and have it glowing!

:lol: Your house will be (kind of) like mine for Thanksgiving - Christmas tree will hopefully be up but all other decorations will be Thanksgiving!!! Thanksmas! :smile:

Good morning all. Well the CD player in my car is officially dead, so no Christmas music for me on my drive to and from work. oh well. How is everyone? We are putting up our tree this weekend and I can't wait! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Well, if it were me and I would choose Ohio State, not that I am a fan, but I know you love them like I love my Penn State, but sounds like your HS boys are doing well and that is something to see! That is a tough decision! I'm not helping!

:lol: Sugar!! He decided to go to the HS game! I was really surprised! The Buckeye tickets were in the nose bleed section & he had someone else that wanted them. We have an engagement party Friday night & my hubby's Dads side family Thanksgiving is on Sunday for lunch so guess he thought the weekend was busy enough! It's a 4 hour round trip drive to Cbus, so... Bummer!

I hope everyone got through the storms safely.

It's so exciting to see all your Christmas trees and decorations going up!

I spent a Christmassy day … spent a good hour and a half wandering around Russell's Garden Center in Wayland looking at all their wonderful Christmas stuff---so many things I saw made me think of all of you. I also stopped at the Home Depot for some additional Christmas lights---I needed an extra string for my tree, and got a couple strings of C7s to string on the hedge out front. (As usual, I mixed white bulbs in with multicolor bulbs.) I'll string the lights on the tree when I get home from work the day before Thanksgiving (hoping that will be early!), and the outdoor lights will go up shortly after. (I just can't get the hang of outdoor decorating … my efforts usually look pretty lame. But I always attempt something.)

It was so enjoyable to spend the day doing Christmas things … I hate to go back to work tomorrow. But it'll be a four-day week, and next week will be a short week leading up to Thanksgiving (is it possible? already?!), then lots of gift-wrapping and packages and music!

Mr. is still feeling pretty rough with his cold and is very raspy, but I'm hoping he's turned the corner and will be over it in a few days. Crossing my fingers that it won't latch onto me next. I'm going to try to get some hot tea into him this evening.
