My daughter needed to go shopping, discovered they have not yet put anything on the roads and wow are they slick!
I am waiting in van since I have no shopping to do and really did not feel like going into work. Right now the snow has stopped but more is coming, very windy.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cold day here with some rain and snow moving in tonight. Alot of stuff to get done today. Need to run to the grocery, wrap my aunt's gifts, then head out to my sister's house to get ready for my aunt's birthday party tonight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

The Nutcracker was beautiful! Elizabeth has three parts: a rat in the battle scene, the head of the Chinese dragon, and a snowflake in the snow scene. I have to say, I'm not easily brought to tears, but seeing her dancing in the snow scene made my eyes well up with tears. She was so beautiful!

We have another show tonight, and an afternoon show tomorrow.

Hello Christmas buddies! First off let me tell yall I have missed being around here, I think about you all everyday. I can't tell you how many times I have started to log on and joining in on the fun, but as you all can imagine the last month and a half has been hard since the suicide of my mother. I know you all here for me if I ever needed to talk but I tend to withdrawel even with my own family members when things go haywire, and on top of everything else the last thing I want to do is come here and be a Debbie downer, even though I know you all would not mind me sharing my thoughts and feelings about it. I just want you all to enjoy the Holidays without hearing negative things in general. I too am going to try too and I intend on having a great Holiday because of my 2 little boys who are my soul and everything I live for. Death is hard but when you deal with suicide it brings a whole other dynamic. It just goes against the religion my Mother brought us up believing. So I just wanted you guys to know even though I have been mostly absent the last 6 weeks yall have been close to my heart and I know you all have been praying for me because I could feel it!

Also it's snowing!!! I mean a lot!! Last weekend we had about 4 inches of wet snow but it melted after 2 days because the temps were just too warm, but we got some more last night and it is still on the ground. Honestly I have not watched the weather in a few days(see I am even not checking on the weather!!!)lol I hope to return to normal and I am trying so hard so I plan on being around here so much more...this is the website afterall that helped me the Christmas of 2010 when I joined fresh after a bitter divorce that eneded up being the very best Christmas I had since 2002! Well I better go I felt I needed to get that off my chest so yall did not think I was forgetting about yall because you indeed are never far from my heart!

Today is the next to the last football game for the Ga bull dawgs! We play UK tonight! This was the game me and my wife always went to whether it was in Lexington,Ky or Athens,Ga . I will be watching for sure though on the tube! Have a wonderful Weekend everyone I will try to be here so much more now!!!

Almost forgot---finished a Christmas afghan this week.

I think I'll be keeping this one for myself for the "library."

(The photo doesn't do justice to the red---it's a rich shade of cherry red, NOT magenta.)

And … my Christmas cactus has more buds on it than I've ever seen! It's going to be spectacular when they bloom!
