Good evening,

T-minus 3 hours until I leave for work, the anxiety and dread is building. I really hate going in for midnight and dealing with the throngs of people that will be coming in. Some will be inebriated, and others will be just mean. It will be 8 hours until freedom, so it will be a very long night.

We had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends, food was delicious, company was better.
I ended up taking a short nap while sitting watching football, I didn't mean to so now I am too awake to try to take a nap before work.

I hope you all had a great day.

See you tomorrow.

Good night, all.

Quiet here today, isn't it?

Glad to see that everyone in the US is enjoying time with their families... and those overseas are probably enjoying sleep! I'm looking forward to sleep, too.

Stuffed full of turkey. So full, I may not ever eat it again ...until tomorrow.

The season kicks into high gear now. Enjoy ever minute of it, because, as we all know, it will start flying now.

Good evening!
I hope everyone is having a very Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a really nice day. I finished cleaning up a little while ago.
I am not looking forward to Black Friday. I will be driving the girls in to work at the outlets this evening. It is going to be a mad house there. Finding a parking spot will probably be an issue so I'm just going to drop them off and pick them up. My oldest's shift is 1:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. I'm furious, I think that is ridiculous. My youngest has to go in at 10:00 p.m. and work over night. My middle daughter doesn't go in until tomorrow, but it's also a super long shift. I feel bad for them. I will try and sleep in between driving them.
I will pop back in when I can!
I hope everyone enjoys their evening!

Christmasstar, congratulations!!!

Good evening, Christmas Family!

The kitchen has been tidied up and I have a refrigerator full of leftover turkey, including the carcass (for making turkey broth tomorrow night). Charlie Chaplin's "City Lights" is in the DVD player - I love that one!

Be safe and MERRY!!!

Guys,

I swear, your not going to believe this. My in-laws were here at my house, all day for Thanksgiving. They left here and went home and when they got there, they went into their house thru the basement door. Once inside, my mother said that she told my father-in-law that she hears footsteps upstairs. He dismissed that and said that it was just the hot water circulating thru the pipes. So, she continued putting stuff away downstairs and then they both heard it. My father-in-law grabs a hand gun from his lock box and my mother-in-law runs outside and dials 911 to get the police.

The police came and apparently the robbers slipped away thru an upstairs backdoor. The police searched the house and found no one there. Anyway's, apparently whoever it was just broke into the house and just started ransacking it when they came home. They were in the house with the robbers upstairs.... How dangerous was that... My mother-inlaw is a wreck and so the very first thing they are going to do tomorrow is get an alarm system installed in the house.

She said they broke thru the kitchen window. So far, they cannot find anything missing but they are still looking. Terrible isn't it, I'm telling you, it's always something....

look for the good and kind people, there are more of them than the other kinds
Take a deep breath, you will do fine!

O wow, so glad they were not hurt!
It happened to us when the kids were small, took a long time before I felt safe in my own home again.
Will be praying for them.
