Prayers for Molly. Hang in there.

Goodmorning all!

Well our excitement continues... LOL last night my son broke several toes and has a hairline fracture in one of the metatarsals. Playing flag football with some friends last night. :-( Doah!! Lunatic went to competition this morning anyway. I said, "You know you really should stay home with your foot up and just chill out! C'mon... we'll do pay per view or rent something... pizza...I'll make your favorite cookies!"

My nephew usually stays with us on the weekends and is almost 5 years younger than Noah said, "Ummmm yeah... let's do that! That sounds really really good to me!!" ROFL

Noah said, "No way!!! I don't miss competitions! I gave my word I would be there!!" So I did something weird... LOL I took the sole off the bottom of a pair of his hunting boots that was about to head for the trash anyway. I then had him put on a sock over his taped toes and foot and then duct taped the sole to his socked foot. He stood up and said, "Oh my gosh! That's 1000 percent better!! Let's just leave this on!! LOL

Justin asked, "Can we still do movies, pizza and cookies when we come back?" LOL

Glass engraving and Christmas cards are on my agenda today.

Hope everyone has a very blessed and wonderful day! :-)

Kids think they're invincible. You're pretty clever rigging up that boot!

Thank you!! I might be good at it, only I have no patience LOL! As for your other post - I'm glad that work went well today! I am sure you're doing awesome. I would love a walk in the snow! It sounds like the perfect night. I'll make us some cocoa for when we come back in! Tomorrow sounds like a blast! I hope you get a good night's sleep and have fun tomorrow!! I can be your honorary taster!

I am glad to hear she is feeling better.

Thank you, Xmas!!

I'm so glad your mom is feeling better - I will keep praying for her! It sounds like you have a lovely evening planned - enjoy!

Thank you for your prayers for her! I appreciate it! We did have a very relaxing evening - how was yours?!

I'm so happy to hear your mom is feeling better!
I have lots of wrapping to do too. I enjoy it as long as I pace myself and am able to do a little at a time. My gifts aren't wrapped perfectly. Ribbons, bows and pretty tags always help!
Enjoy your evening, it sounds wonderful. Perfect plans for a snowy day!

Thank you, HMG! Pacing myself...good tip. I will try that. The worst part for me is actually cutting the paper the right size, LOL! I always end up with a big blob or not enough. Not enough is the worst - then I have to tape some on top!! I love all of the glittery tags and the shiny ribbons!

Busy day here. Started the day with my BIL wrecking his car. There is a reason they tell you to slow down in the snow. He was late for work though and was flying down the street and couldn't stop. So he went up and over the center part of the roundabout and bent up the entire suspension. You have to hold the steering wheel at almost 90 degree's to get the car to go straight. At least he wasn't hurt and didn't hit anyone else. So after i checked the car out, it was off to the funeral home. It was good to see some old friends but that's not how I wanted to do it. Then it was off to lunch with my sister and niece's and then off to the train. It was a lot of fun. Santa was really good and took time to visit with each kid and then sat down for photo's. He even led everyone in a bunch of Christmas songs. (note to self, we need to listen to frosty more often) Mrs. Claus though, well she must have been tired after baking everyone cookies because she just kind of walked through the train and didn't really do anything. The kids didn't care though. They were all hyped up and going crazy. After the train ride we stopped and did some shopping and then went to dinner. Then it was home to do some wrapping while listening to the greasy skillet and watching White Christmas.

I am so so so glad to hear that your brother-in-law is okay. How scary! So sorry you had to spend some of your day at the funeral home. My thoughts and prayers are with you for your loss! It sounds like your night ended up fun! There is nothing more exciting than thrilled kids during the Christmas season!

Awww, poor Molly! Already said prayers for her. Let us know how she is!

Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut earlier - my mom's fever returned! She has had the fever for 6 days now and there really hasn't been much of a change. I don't think it's a virus but who knows! We have to play the waiting game until Monday so that she can get her blood work results and her sonogram results. I hope it's something simple where she can be given antibiotics or that it goes away on its own. We have Christmas cookies to bake this week! Otherwise, I'll be baking solo (oh boy) or not at all! :(

On the bright side.....it is technically 12/15 here so only TEN DAYS 'til Christmas!!!

Even though I am excited, the clock needs to slow down!!! I savor this time of year!

It has been many years since we had a picture with most if us together for Christmas!

( left to right, also youngest to oldest)
Hank, Rick , John, Bill, me, Rycki with our mom in front . Albert is missing he would be between Bill and me.

We were so surprised when Rick showed up unannounced all the way from British Columbia, I thought mom was going to faint when he walked in.
It has been 10 years since we had Rick here.
It was a wonderful party!

Glad you guys had such a great time!

I'm home. What an awful night to have to go out, the roads are icy. Molly didn't seem right to me earlier this evening. She was very restless and then she started panting. As soon as I saw her scratch at her ear I knew something was up. It's strange how sudden the symptoms came on. Anyway, I didn't want to wait until Monday for her to see our veterinarian so I brought her to the ER. They sent me home with meds and stuff to clean her ears with. I'm praying that will take care of it. She's never had a problem with her ears before. She's sleeping like a baby next to me right now so that's good. Thank you so much for the prayers!
xoxo

Aww poor thing! I hope she gets to feeling better soon! I had a German Shepard once who had chronic ear infections...finally the dr just gave up and put her on pain meds for life and that helped her get through along with us constantly rinsing out her ears...I did not care that I had a pooch with a pain pill addiction as long as it helped the little thing sleep at night!

Wife is sleeping, baby is sleeping, dogs are sleeping....

time for Santa to do some online shopping!!

Good evening, MMC!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! Several inches of snow and it is still falling. I even made some snow cream - I have most of it in the freezer for a treat later in the week.

Busy day here: worked on tasks for the store I could do at home, swept off the porch several times and worked on an afghan. My voice is coming and going so I made a spicy dish for dinner, Thai peanut chicken. Yummy!

Palmer has been hugging the heat registers and as a result keeps getting zapped by things - she has quite the electrifying personality!

The local radio station played their top 10 Christmas songs as voted on by the local listeners: Holly, Jolly Christmas was number one. I'm so bummed - can't get the Greasy Skillet on the radio tonight nor can I get the player to load on my computer. I hate missing the Christmas shows - RJD does such a wonderful job recording them!!!

I have to work tomorrow - not looking forward to it as I am still feeling quite under the weather. An early night is most definitely called for!

Be safe and MERRY dreams!!!

What is snow cream?
