Christmas Countdown - 2013

Busy day here. Started the day with my BIL wrecking his car. There is a reason they tell you to slow down in the snow. He was late for work though and was flying down the street and couldn't stop. So he went up and over the center part of the roundabout and bent up the entire suspension. You have to hold the steering wheel at almost 90 degree's to get the car to go straight. At least he wasn't hurt and didn't hit anyone else. So after i checked the car out, it was off to the funeral home. It was good to see some old friends but that's not how I wanted to do it. Then it was off to lunch with my sister and niece's and then off to the train. It was a lot of fun. Santa was really good and took time to visit with each kid and then sat down for photo's. He even led everyone in a bunch of Christmas songs. (note to self, we need to listen to frosty more often) Mrs. Claus though, well she must have been tired after baking everyone cookies because she just kind of walked through the train and didn't really do anything. The kids didn't care though. They were all hyped up and going crazy. After the train ride we stopped and did some shopping and then went to dinner. Then it was home to do some wrapping while listening to the greasy skillet and watching White Christmas.

So glad to hear your BIL is okay!

I'm in the animal ER with Molly, she has an ear infection. Hopefully we'll be out of here soon!

Good Sunday morning everyone!

Hope everyone is fine. :] I came home quite late last night because the church needed to be tidied up after the concert. The event itself was F A N T A S T I C ! ! ! I did okey with my reading which is great.

We even got little goodie bags this year!

There also was a small box of Christmas chocolates but, as you can see, they are gone now. Oops! ^^

I woke up pretty late this morning and I don't like waking up late because it then feels like my day has been wasted. And it is the last day of exam revision so I have to put extra work today. Oh boy.

Anyway, have a relaxing day everyone! Enjoy doing Christmassy things and be safe if driving in snow. Best wishes!

Days to Christmas Day: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS TOMORROW!)

Yes, you read that right Folks - ten.
Three hundred and sixty-five days down to TEN!

Chilly and wet yesterday with off and on again rain.
Didn't interfere with my trip out with my younger niece. Did some Christmas shopping and had a nice lunch.
It should be drier today and perhaps just a bit warmer.
Right now, we record 40 degrees here.

Good morning everyone! I am eating for breakfast a batch of Christmas cookie Christmas trees! Brandi had the recipe from her mom and they turned out so good! They are like the cookies my Granny made with icing and everything. I just put them in the microwave about 20 seconds and omg this is heaven!

Okay the weather is the same as the last 2 days. Fog that is soo thick it won't burn off during the day and will be here until weds they are saying. It's 6F and will get to 23F then tonight will be 7f with snow coming back in the forecast tomorrow night through the rest of the work week. We need new fresh snow...the snow we have now is thanksgiving snow and is getting so dirty! Well I better get back to eating so I can leave for work! I have to go in for a few hours to get ahead of the paperwork since Weds is my last day of work this year!!!! Have a great day it's getting so close its depressing how fast this season is going! ttyl!

Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut earlier - my mom's fever returned! She has had the fever for 6 days now and there really hasn't been much of a change. I don't think it's a virus but who knows! We have to play the waiting game until Monday so that she can get her blood work results and her sonogram results. I hope it's something simple where she can be given antibiotics or that it goes away on its own. We have Christmas cookies to bake this week! Otherwise, I'll be baking solo (oh boy) or not at all!

I'm home. What an awful night to have to go out, the roads are icy. Molly didn't seem right to me earlier this evening. She was very restless and then she started panting. As soon as I saw her scratch at her ear I knew something was up. It's strange how sudden the symptoms came on. Anyway, I didn't want to wait until Monday for her to see our veterinarian so I brought her to the ER. They sent me home with meds and stuff to clean her ears with. I'm praying that will take care of it. She's never had a problem with her ears before. She's sleeping like a baby next to me right now so that's good. Thank you so much for the prayers!

just back from Kandice´s hockeytournament. they won one game and the lost the second....but You can see a lot of improvement on the team....they start to understand the game more and more....the rest of the day I will just chill....nothing else

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a little bit colder here today with a high near 30 degree's. At least it's not going to snow. No big plans for me today. My sister just called and it sounds like she is going to bring the girls in for me to babysit while her and my BIL go finish their christmas shopping. Other than that, I may try to do some baking. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
