Hi my dear friends. Hope all is well! Today is the fourth Advent....the last Advent before Christmas.....I can hardly believe it is here already.
Kandice, my cousin Frank and I are just watching a cartoon version of Dicken´s "A Christmas Carol".....I wish all of y´all a beautiful Sunday!!!

***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 40 *****

Good Morning, Final Weekend Breath-Holders.

Yes, hold your breath.
It's nearly here.

Observe:
Days to Christmas Day: 3 (Now UNDER HALF A WEEK left!!)

(Almost close enough to hear the prancing and pawing of those little hooves!)

Nice, warm and dry yesterday with our high into the 70's.
The same today, minus the "dry" part.
We begin today at an incredibly warm 69 degrees here in our sector of MMC. (Hope we don't get severe weather!)

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody.
Enjoy the second half of your "final" weekend to the fullest!

Good evening everyone! I finally made it back from SLC international airport to get my baby sis! I had to circle a few times because she was at baggage claim still..the roads are terrible with ice and snow so it was a slow go but we are back and ready to eat a lasagna before bed!! Goodnight everyone talk to yall tomorrow!

So glad you made it back safely!!

ROFL I know what you mean about the cookie baking scene!!! That's hilarious! I was thinking the same thing about them airing it again. I thought for sure they would air it over the next few days.

Goodmorning MMC!

It's 7am and I'm up and rolling. Bud and I watched Christmas movies till 4am. LOL. Hopefully I'll finish my remaining projects today.

I'm almost at my wall of ready to quit and just sit and watch movies in front of the tree. It's this moment that leaves me asking, "Why is it again I feel the need to make the presents?" LOL

And why is it always my mom's present that is the last to finish and almost always the most difficult?

*sigh* Sometimes I think I do it to distract myself from the impending sense of doom that befalls me on December 26th. LOL

Hope you all have a very Christmassy and wonderful Sunday. :-)

Oh good morning my fellow Christmas friends! It seems like I just laid down on the pillow at 2 am after getting back from SLC airport. Anyhow there is just so much to do and so much excitement in the air I could not sleep! Our house is full of my siblings and their children and spouses. They will all be gone by Jan1st and on December 27th Brandi's brother and mom and dad are flying in until Jan2nd. I would love it if some of my family and her family overlap but I am not sure who is going and when....I just know we are all here now and on the 26th my brother and his wife are leaving. everyone is leaving at different times and all. But I love it...everyone being here!!! since mom died we have really drawn strength from each other and we knew we all had to cling together this holiday and keep busy busy busy!!! so we have no time to think of sad things! Well I am going to go cook a huge country breakfast for about 15 people. I will make country fried steak with gravy and hash browns...hotcakes and sausage and bacon...I know this is not the healthiest...but I also am serving yogurts(which I love BTW) and smoothies with plenty of vitamin b12 for energy! We will probably skip lunch because we are having a turkey fry tonight!!!

How could I forget the weather...well right now it's 30F and the snow is getting soft and yesterday we got up to 37F and we continue to lose about 2 inches at least in the back yard..I have about 12 inches of snow out there...I have kept records that show we have had snow on the ground since November 27th. I am surprised because I thought we would have snow melt in between storms at least until late Dec or early jan when the snow pack usually starts. Anyway I guess we will not see grass until spring or Easter? We will see huh..lol OKay everyone have a great day whether you are shopping or going to get loved ones at the airports, bus stations, and be careful on the roads besides snow and ice they are packed with cars and people trying to get to granny's house for some pumpkin pie...(as the song goes)! I will check in throughout the day! Take care!

Sounds wonderful Bulldawg. Hope you have a great morning all together and a blessed Christmas.

We're at 74 at 8:30am and looking at a humid high of 85 today. :-( No snow in my future till hopefully January 10th. I'm driving to Colorado with Bud when he goes back out on tour. Hoping to get to see some snow there.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Bulldawg. :)

Same to you!!! Merry Christmas!!! I hope you get to see snow and I am almost sure you will in Jan in Colorado! And what a beautiful drive that will be too!!

Oh how beautiful! I hope your power comes back on soon, and I hope your snow gets replenished...but not any of that freezing rain..that stuff is brutal!
its back, for now!
it is raining hard and at -1c (30f) it is more freezing rain.So we cooked up a nice hot breakfast, warming up the house and preparing for more outages.

Just read on accuweather.com that over 250,000 people are without power in Ontario...just like Christmasstar:( this storm in the east looks horrible...in the southeast they are shattering records with the warm temps..and up north its ice and snow and the ice is what causes power outages! I hope this storm ends as soon as possible since so many folks are travelling!

ETA:hehe I just saw Christmasstar's post saying her power is back on! and great!!! I just did not know before I wrote the above!!! I need more sleep!HAHA

that all sounds like so much fun! I love a busy household and having out of town family around for the holidays!
Enjoy making lots of memories!

2 days to Christmas Eve...2 days!!

And, yet again, Christmas managed to sneak up on me, even though I begin getting excited for it by October.

From here on out I pledge to never say again: "Christmas, I will be ready for you when you get here"

Never gonna' happen

thanks, we are not holding out that it will stay on so are preparing for more outages. Raining hard, but it all looks magical! We are going out to church soon since it is only a few blocks away. Going to drive since the traffic on the roads is moving ...well scratch that off my list of things to do, just got an email that services are cancelled for today. Only 2 days before Christmas! At least we have the Christmas eve service.
