Good morning friends. I hope each one of you is having a great start to the Christmas week. I can't believe it's here!

Icepocalypse 2013 is over for Oklahoma. My neighbor's tree is partly down on my yard, and some of my rain guttering is falling off of the house. Other than that there is no major damage. I hope you all have a great Sunday. I can't wait for the radio festivities to start on Kringle radio!

beautiful pictures!
glad to hear you had no major damage.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! The temperature is dropping and the wind has picked up but at least the rain has stopped!!! I'm thinking about everyone who is still in the path of the storm though. It's a nasty one!!! The pictures of flooding from around town are crazy. I'm guessing the water at the front of our complex is down since I got my paper this morning though. Not to much going on here today. I have a few things i want to get my eggs boiled for my macaroni salad and my celery and onions chopped. That way it doesn't take me to long to throw it together tomorrow. Then we will be going out to my sister's for Mom's birthday dinner and cake and ice cream. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan- Stay safe in that ice!!!!!

Here is a few pictures of the flooding around town

The park downtown (It floods a lot but the playground is on high ground and I've only ever seen water reach it once before)

You stay safe too! I wonder if that is the storm that dumped all the rain on us. It was headed northeast from us. Stay dry, friend!

Good morning MMC!!

Been a busy couple of days. Did that shopping trip with my mom and didn't get home till 11pm. Although her 'shopping trip' was a covert operation. What she actually intended was for me to pick out a new grill for our porch and a new media/mantel electric fireplace. I didn't know it till after several stores that's whay we had predominately looked at and at Lowes when I said, Oh Bud and Noah would LOVE that grill and that fireplace is amazing, she told the clerk she wanted both, delivered and set up on Friday afternoon.

They wanted it all set up and looking nice for when Bud got home from his tour around 11 last night. :-D

You could have knocked me over with a feather!! Both Bud and Noah were stunned. LOL

So spent all day yesterday moving furniture and rearranging the patio and getting ready for Bud to come home.

I'll get caught up on the board here, but in the mean time I hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed Christmas season!!!

Yep, it was the same storm. We got a little over 3.5 inches of rain from it.

it is the first day of winter, is that the same thing?
It is also my sisters birthday today! Wow, she is 60 years old, time sure flies when you are having fun.

Happy Birthday to your sister! Hope she had a great day!

Well plans have changed...I am at home baby sitting my 2 little ones plus a few of my nieces and nephews that have come into town. The women folks have gone shopping so I had to scrub my skiing plans! I should be here all day now..

Hope that went well! :)

ROFL well sorry to have filled up two pages replying to everyone. LOL

Sitting here watching Christmas movies with Bud and catching up on the board. Still have two mote projects left to do and a mass of cookies, muffins and pies to bake and all the presents to wrap. LOL

I appreciate you all and hope those of you dealing with the rains and flooding are alright.

Merry Christmas to you all!!

I enjoyed reading your posts!!! Are you sleeping until noon today??? Lol!!!

Have a great day!

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone!

The shortest day of the year. First, I must say that Lovemas was great. I was not able to catch it live - I was busy seeing old friends - but I was thankfully able to watch on youtube. Darlene Love was beautiful and her voice, well it remains just as magical as ever.

As for today, I am heading to Green Bay to see the Packers vs. Steelers play at Lambeau Field tomorrow afternoon. The Packers are in desperate need of a victory to remain in control of their playoff lives. I'll be cheering loudly from the North endzone!

My brother is working today and my dad is picking me up in a mere 20 minutes. Then, we're off to grab Brad at work and cross the border into the US en route to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Judging by the forecast, we should miss the storm that is due to arrive in Green Bay overnight. Hope it continues to hold off until then.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Have fun and enjoy the game! Go Steelers! :)

Sounds like a good day to me Merry!! :-)

It got even better! We just sat for a while looking at the Christmas tree and relaxing. Then we went downstairs and watched a 1955 Lawrence Welk Christmas show (16mm), "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear" (16mm), and "The Bishop's Wife" (DVD), then came upstairs for a bite of supper and watched a 1954 episode of "Your Hit Parade" with a Christmas theme. Yeah! An entire evening of Christmas!

Oh my gosh Made! That is a lot of rain!! I haven't been out to see what's out there, but it rained SO hard for so long yesterday/last night. Our phones were going crazy - Flood Warnings, Sever Tstorm warnings.... what a night! I hope everyone in your area is safe & dry! WOW! Who would ever think you would be dealing with flooding like that on Dec. 22nd?!

Good evening everyone! I finally made it back from SLC international airport to get my baby sis! I had to circle a few times because she was at baggage claim still..the roads are terrible with ice and snow so it was a slow go but we are back and ready to eat a lasagna before bed!! Goodnight everyone talk to yall tomorrow!

YAY!!! Have a great visit! Stay safe!!!!
I need to check on my bro/sil's flight to see if it's still on time. Hope so!! :-D

a nice busy day for you!
I got the living room are neat and tidy, took everyone else shopping, dropped off moms meds for her (she is feeling much better) made a batch of egg nog, still have not made my mice, fed the cat, picked up LittleCS and Pocket and sat around and relaxed.

Glad to hear your mom is feeling better!

Ryan, the ice photos look amazing and beautiful, but so treacherous! I'm happy to hear your house didn't suffer much damage.

Christmasstar, I hope your power stays on. Stay safe in all that ice!

We're luckier here. The ice is much farther north. We're in the warm air here, but it's dark and gray. I guess we'll get some rain. All our lovely snow from last week will be gone by Christmas, but I'm grateful that we are out of the severe weather.

HEllo Christmas friends!!!!! Im looking forward to countdown with you guys I know i just started but love the countdown!!!!!!!!!

Hi and welcome to the Countdown! You will love it here. Post when you can, will look forward to hearing from you! Merry Christmas!

Scary stuff, Made … I hope the rain is over and the waters will be receding.

Ryan - that ice looks amazing! Glad there was no major damage. It's hard to imagine all that ice since it's so warm. They say that will be changing tomorrow too. Stay safe!
