Mexican food is yummy - you should have some!

You stay safe, too, made!!! All I've heard are grumblings that things might be canceled. I checked the radar and it shows snow over my area and sure enough there are a few flakes falling out there. It might be a good idea to turn the heat up - I'm thinking about doing so a bit later. I have been leaving it on 65 during the day and down to 62 at night but it still feels very cold in the house.
 
well apparently we are getting some snow tomorrow again. Taking mom to the Toronto Island airport so she can fly out to Vermont tomorrow.
At least it is not so silly cold any more.
My girls have gone to watch Frozen tonight, got free tickets with some movie she bought. So I will go and pick them up when it is over.
Other than that I am just relaxing tonight.

Nice....I love her Christmas Album! In my opinion, it is one of the best new Christmas albums that I have heard, that has come out by a new or (newish) young artist~ :-D
 
Hey ya all, just checking in for the first time today, been really busy with shoveling snow, un-packing, playing with the fireplace and just doing some odds and ends. I also had a lovely task today of rebuilding a toilet. It all started with broken (rusted) bolts, and when I started taking it apart, I noticed that everything inside of it was not in good shape. So, I decided to be pro-active and replace the wax ring, new supply hose, replaced all the parts inside the tank, etc....

It was a dirty job, but someone had to do it, and besides now it's done and it should be good to go for another ten years... I guess I'll do the other toilets in the house as well in the next coming weeks just to be on the safe side.

I'm going to do a few more thimgs and then call it quits fr the night and sit down and relax for an hour or two before going to bed. cheesy

Is it destined for another showdown with Denver?

Just had a quick dip in the pool. .. I ask you... who puts the cover over the pool on a weekend in the middle of a heatwave!! Scanned the garden for weeds and those errant plants from bird droppings, fixed some watering system issues and now lunch.

Happy New Year! Today Ill take down our outside lights. It will take some time. We use 30 strands of 66ft. lights for the house. Plus the fence an arch way and three mega trees I built. Its kind of a tradition to take down the lights, count to see what we need for next year and make notes of what we want to do for the next Christmas. Then later in the evening we go back up in the attic and make a note that says "See boys I told you it would be here before you know it" we put the days hours and minutes and seconds until the next christmas on the note as well as the number of days until we will put it up again. We then put the note in the tree tote with notes from years past. The tradition started years ago when my oldest son said that Christmas decorations are like a time capsule. It always makes us smile when we open the tote on Thanksgiving day to put the tree up, to see the notes. After all this is done today I will get to enjoy one of my newer traditions for the second time. Entering the milestones in my calendar :)
