Good afternoon all! I hope everyone on the East coast and Midwest has survived 'polar vortex' 2014! After looking at the temps its amazing! We are having a heat wave in the inner mtn west. Lots of snow melt and temps around 37 and 38F Although we may have some flurries the rest of the week into the weekend. Lows are down around 10F and highs the rest of the week a little bit cooler at 28F to 30F.
I am getting ready for a birthday party for my son so I better run I just wanted to jump in to say hello!!! Stay warm and bundle up everyone!!!!

Have fun at Jordan's party!! Hope he's having a very happy birthday!!

good morning to you!
You are always a day ahead of me, so that must mean that I am living in your past !
Hope you have a great day!

Whoa! Tha blows my mind! My daughter tried to explain Harry Potter and Hermione using the time go backy thingy but I still can't understand where the first event, before they altered the past, disappears to.

I feel like I'm playing chases with you guys. I start from page 11 but then I refresh; I go 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. I gotta lot to catch up on!!

We have a channel called COZI TV that shows some oldies. Try it if it's in your lineup!

Thanks for the info. I get Direct TV. I will have to look that up!

Good COLD Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was 12° when I left for work this morning. That's a deep, deep freeze for this area. We pour concrete where I work, and it's obviously too cold for that, so they sent the guys home early this morning. We admin folks had to stay, though. That's ok. I'd rather stay 8 hours in my warm office than have to work 2 hours out on that cold plant floor!

I left early yesterday to take Nancy to an eye exam, then got home in time to get to my city council meeting. Our county is celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year, and Bellville is hosting passenger train rides from our depot this summer (fun!), so we're planning to start sprucing-up the depot and the city hall (not fun).

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Happy 100th Anniversary to the county! I am sure you guys have lots of fun stuff planned! Stay warm, Brad! I'm sure it is a total shock to your system!

Good evening MMC!!

Well I started the morning reading and thanking the posts and then --- the world knocked on my door. LOL

Noah is teaching at a seminar on the 16th in Sarasota. I won't be here. We found out around 8:30am that the person who is hosting this four-day seminar has only lightly marketed it and didn't do any individual marketing for the speakers individually. Noah's classes weren't full so we had to drop everything and spend the morning and early afternoon doing manic marketing, blog posts and social media.

Was almost finished with that and suddenly there was a major snafu with Bud's Dropbox and YouTube channels and several hours of footage. Three hours later and I now have that under control. *phew*

Right now - I'm sick of looking at my laptop and I didn't have time to take down any decorations. I'm going to start that in just a few minutes. I need to have it all done and put away before I leave town on Friday.

Hope everyone is doing well, no more black ice incidents or slips and you're all keeping warm. :) I listened to my favorite Pandora channel with Christmas carols all day today. It calms me and helps me focus and stay in a good mood regardless of the task at hand or how complicated. Bud teases me that I'm the only person who plays Perry Como's Christmas Album to enter the ring. LOL

I also learned today that my dogs associate Burl Ives' voice with cookies or treats. LOL The Pandora channel I choose ends up having a number of Burl Ives renditions and much of the speaking portions of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Rankin/Bass version). It played today and suddenly they were all there at my feet, tails wagging. I thought, "What in the world are they doing?"

About an hour later it happened again with a different song and verbal piece, still Burl Ives. When it happened yet again a bit later, I deliberately put the movie on to see if they would do it again. Sure enough - Burl Ives' voice came on and there they were, happy as could be. Too cute! My dogs are Christmas-ites.

Hope you all have a great evening! If I don't pop in again this evening and get caught up - I'll catch up tomorrow. If nothing else, surely on the long drive on Colorado when Bud's in the driver's seat.

It is a lovely 8 degrees here in Maryland. I can't remember the last time it was this cold. I had to find a scarf to cover my nose and mouth, because the cold literally took my breath away. My car doors and windows were frozen shut, and it took forever to warm the car up. It was an experience! I'm glad it's nice and warm here at work!

Stay safe and warm, MerryBells!

Virginia,

Do you watch Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries?

I just love Phryne!!

Was curious if it's big over there =]

My Mom got me into it, and I just bought her DVD set.

Hello all. Hope everyone is warm and safe!

Coach, I love what you wrote. Ever heard the song about when tough little boys grow up to be dads, they turn into big babies again? It's true!

Snow, I love the iPhone cover!

Hope everyone else is great!

Ryan, I love that song. It is so very true and sentimental.

Well mom made it home okay from work. She said that the news is lying though when they said the roads are better. She said you feel like a bobble head with all of the ruts, dips, and chunks missing out of the snow and ice on top of the pavement.

We are going to keep warming up overnight though so hopefully if they get back out there and keep putting down salt and chemicals, they will be better in the morning.

All of the school districts have canceled school for tomorrow already though.

Glad Mom made it home safely! It's great that the warm-up will continue overnight, too. Praying the roads are much better in the morning.
