I hope you stayed warm and cozy last night. When I took Molly and Maggie out before we went to bed, I was actually yelling at them to hurry up, lol. It was painfully cold. I put their coats on but I still worry about them.

I made pulled pork and coleslaw for dinner last night!

Good afternoon all! I hope everyone on the East coast and Midwest has survived 'polar vortex' 2014! After looking at the temps its amazing! We are having a heat wave in the inner mtn west. Lots of snow melt and temps around 37 and 38F Although we may have some flurries the rest of the week into the weekend. Lows are down around 10F and highs the rest of the week a little bit cooler at 28F to 30F.
I am getting ready for a birthday party for my son so I better run I just wanted to jump in to say hello!!! Stay warm and bundle up everyone!!!!

I hope you your son had a very happy birthday and enjoyed his party!

That is an adorable picture, I love it!!!

Good evening MMC!!

Well I started the morning reading and thanking the posts and then --- the world knocked on my door. LOL

Noah is teaching at a seminar on the 16th in Sarasota. I won't be here. We found out around 8:30am that the person who is hosting this four-day seminar has only lightly marketed it and didn't do any individual marketing for the speakers individually. Noah's classes weren't full so we had to drop everything and spend the morning and early afternoon doing manic marketing, blog posts and social media.

Was almost finished with that and suddenly there was a major snafu with Bud's Dropbox and YouTube channels and several hours of footage. Three hours later and I now have that under control. *phew*

Right now - I'm sick of looking at my laptop and I didn't have time to take down any decorations. I'm going to start that in just a few minutes. I need to have it all done and put away before I leave town on Friday.

Hope everyone is doing well, no more black ice incidents or slips and you're all keeping warm. :) I listened to my favorite Pandora channel with Christmas carols all day today. It calms me and helps me focus and stay in a good mood regardless of the task at hand or how complicated. Bud teases me that I'm the only person who plays Perry Como's Christmas Album to enter the ring. LOL

I also learned today that my dogs associate Burl Ives' voice with cookies or treats. LOL The Pandora channel I choose ends up having a number of Burl Ives renditions and much of the speaking portions of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Rankin/Bass version). It played today and suddenly they were all there at my feet, tails wagging. I thought, "What in the world are they doing?"

About an hour later it happened again with a different song and verbal piece, still Burl Ives. When it happened yet again a bit later, I deliberately put the movie on to see if they would do it again. Sure enough - Burl Ives' voice came on and there they were, happy as could be. Too cute! My dogs are Christmas-ites.

Hope you all have a great evening! If I don't pop in again this evening and get caught up - I'll catch up tomorrow. If nothing else, surely on the long drive on Colorado when Bud's in the driver's seat.

Sounds like you had a busy day! I hope you had a relaxing evening graywolf.
Cute story about the dogs, I love it!

Well mom made it home okay from work. She said that the news is lying though when they said the roads are better. She said you feel like a bobble head with all of the ruts, dips, and chunks missing out of the snow and ice on top of the pavement.

We are going to keep warming up overnight though so hopefully if they get back out there and keep putting down salt and chemicals, they will be better in the morning.

All of the school districts have canceled school for tomorrow already though.

The roads sound treacherous. Still praying for everyone!

Good evening! Wow - I am finally caught up! We are the talkative bunch here! I stayed up for a little while - I finally got to watching "Let It Snow", one of the new movies that was on Hallmark from this year. I loved it! I work tonight though, so I am going to try and lay down for a quick nap.

What are you all up tonight? Hope you're all having a great evening and staying warm. I am off tomorrow and looking forward to it, as I always do! I can't wait! We have to go grocery shopping, but other than that, I plan to just stay in, spend time with DH and the kids.

Alright, off to hopefully nap. Talk to you guys tomorrow. Praying for all of you guys and your safety. God Bless and keep smiling! :)

Enjoy your day off!!!

Hello all. I can't catch up on the posts now but wanted to say hello. Just got done playing with the Barbie dream house with my daughter...her favorite Christmas present from this year.

Have a good night!

That is so sweet. I miss when my girls were in the Barbie stage, they had a dream house too. So did I in the 70's. They sure are a lot fancier now!

My birthday day is winding down, my wife surprised me by picking up some stuffed chicken breasts because I have been saying I have been craving chicken croquettes. Only one place around here sells them and they are nearly 30 minutes away. So she tried to get the closest thing she could find, she is awesome. She also picked up a whoopee pie and a small cake for me.
Her and the boys also got me a new Santa Claus for my birthday present, she picked up for me on Black Friday from Kohl's.
It has been a great birthday, especially for my last one in my 30's.

I will post a picture of him after the one I won Ebay gets here.

Sounds like you had an awesome birthday, I'm glad!
Looking forward to seeing the Santa pictures!

Hi everyone!

I hope you all have stocked up and are inside in the safe and warm!

It was all over the news this morning. They said sixteen people had died.

To lighten the mood, they stated someone had escaped from jail and was on the run but later turned himself in because he couldn't handle the cold.

That is funny!

Good morning!
In the car on our way to the city.
Chiropractor and some shopping.
(Hope to find some more Christmas gifts and calendar gifts on sale)

It seems like our Norwegian winter is in USA..
We have no winter here, for the first time ever!!
But they say it will be colder..
Our first Christmas and winter with no snow or no cold temperatures..
Even flowers starts blooming!!

Well, I hope you have a great day!
Take good care❤

Hello Solice, I hope you were able to find some Christmas goodies!
Have a wonderful day!

Merry Morning!!
Happy Pine's Day!
Happy anniversary ChristmasAholic!
....and Happy Birthday Elvis on the other side :)

Walking my son to school this morning, I was reminded of late September when the seasons were only just changing and we were all excited about the arrival of Fall.
I always look forward to the turn of the seasons. Each one brings rejuvenation and a variety of things to look forward to.

The weather here continues to be unusual. Severe storms and flooding in some parts. However, mild weather here these days which makes feel like something is brewing! *goosebumps*

I hope that things are getting better for all of you experiencing severe weather. Atleast we can all escape to the warmth of the Pines tonight!! I look forward to sitting by the roaring fire and sipping on one of Carl's blends..........

Good morning Festive. Stay safe with all of those storms!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Good Morning, Second Wednesday Friends!

Yes, hard though it may be to believe, we have completed a full week of 2014 already and have begun week #2.

This may also be hard to believe, especially to those who have not caught on to and adopted a "Season Count" mentality:
Days to the Season: 309
Days to Christmas Day: 351

And you read that right, Folks.
We are already down to single digits to our first 2014 Milestone marker, 300-day Season Window.

BRRRRR!
We awoke to 10 degrees yesterday morning and it's only improved to 17 degrees this morning. Thank goodness there was no precipitation.
A warming trend should start today and carry us into the weekend.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Vivacious Visit to the Shispering Pines this evening!

And speaking of that, rumor has it that Carl has whipped up another questionable coffee blend after hearing that there was champagne
left over from the New Year's Day open house bash last week.
(Sigh! What won't that camel do, especially with encouragement from der Binger?)

thanks, I just got up, but now am tired just from reading this!
Hope that today is not so busy.

sounds like the road I drove on here yesterday, and that was a main road in town. Glad your mom is safe.
