Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good evening!
We ended up getting a wintry mix this morning that turned roads and walkways in to sheets of ice. In my county alone there were around 600 emergency calls in a four hour period for car crashes and falls connected to the icy conditions. So dangerous, I hate the ice! We are expecting more rain tomorrow but I'm hoping the temperatures will be warmer than they were today and we don't have to deal with the ice.
I'm going to lay down and rest for a little bit while the girls are out. I will be waking up at 4:30 in the morning the next couple of days because my daughter has opening shifts, I'm not looking forward to it. I always thought it would get easier as the kids got older. I guess in some ways it has but I think I'm more sleep deprived now than when they were little!
I hope everyone dealing with this weather keeps warm and stays safe out there on the roads!

Hey everybody!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

I had the best time yesterday when I walked into my local dollar store and all Christmas items were 90% off!! I got a slew of ornaments, lights, and fun stuff to be used next year. In all I paid $25 for almost $400 of Christmas goodies! Whoo Hoo!! (I love a good sale!) Now I just have to find a place to put it all and wait until next year to use it. What I don't use I give away and that's always fun too. However, it is also a reminder that Christmas this year is really over. But on the other hand God bless the three houses on my street that still have Christmas lights up!!

Now back to studying. Classes start next Monday for me....Statistics and Research Methods oh what fun ;P!!

Not sure if I wrote it here yesterday....but Stripey is a bit sick....she has a bladder infection and got two shots yesterday....antibiotics that last for three weeks and a pain killer so she can pee again.....poor baby..........other than that all is good

G'morn all, just having my second coffee on Saturday 9.40am thinking about some chores but not wanting to move. I think my jigsaw is calling. It's going to be 37°C today slowly building into 40s. We are going to the public indoor pool today for the 6th birthday of my son's partner's boy.... looking forward to the cupcakes!!

home again, supper done, being lazy.

Warming up quite a bit, it is now +1c (33f), snow melting and going to rain tomorrow. Tuesday it was -41c....40 degree difference in temperatures in only 3 days, crazy weather.

I forgot to mention this but I went to Office Depot yesterday to pick up ink for my printer as I was about to check out I saw a clearance table full of 24 pack K-Cups (for my Keurig) for $3.94 a box! I picked up 5 boxes of them. I wish I would have picked up more!

I still have all my indoor decorations up. My neighbor still has her tree up too and there are still plenty of houses around here with their outdoor lights still lit up!
